Just bought a new car and the old driver profile was there. This helps the handover perfectly and really allows me to personalise the car to my taste! Thanks for making this!

Also worth noting the profiles are associated with the key. So you and your partner can each have a key with the corresponding default profile. This saves selecting the profile when you turn on the ignition. Driving mode is also set by the profile.
How do you set this, i can't for the life of me get ours to remember. I have a profile as my name, and i set it all using my key and seat position is stored as Men position 1, set my wife to 2 and used her key to set it up. when i unlock with her key after i drive it still puts her into my profile and seat position?

@@noahha5972 i did, you set the position of the mirrors and seat with the key you unlock, then go through the menu on the stereo to driver profile and then save it to the key in there. there is a procedure in the boo to set the left mirror to tilt down when in the LEFT setting in reverse also that is handy.
Great video, its actually shocking how little main dealers know about the cars they sell, I asked a similar question at my local dealership.

Hi I like the video. USER PROFILES! Have had the Golf (from new) for 3 months but the question I can't seem to get answered is: How do I get the Infotainment system/Driver profile/key(s) etc to remember both me and my wife's individual mirror settings?
Am I missing something in the Vehicle detailed menus?
Does it adjust the rear windows automatically or you still have it to adjust it everytime you use the car?
Hi Gents,great vid, would these profiles also adjust the "Individual" Driving mode according to the driver profile chosen? Also can you show me what buttons are up top near the map lights, in fact can you show all interior lights etc too please?
You can also program keys individually and in regards to the clock settings it works for me as I like a 24hr clock but my wife prefers not.
Does it adjust the side mirrors or do you have to adjust yourself every time

Well if you're in Canada the answer is no. There has to be a memory button on the side of the seat for this function to work. Sucks.

I have just brought a 2016 Tiguan sel which seems to be fully loaded and I noticed it has white lights under the door mirrors you think it would be possible to change these lights so that it projects the vw logo or something onto the ground ?
Is there a way to remove other profiles already stored in the system from a previous owner.
The easiest way would be to factory reset the system and start again.
We have a 19 plate Tiguan. Can it save the wing mirror positions for each driver?
can you change the display from miles to km?
Does the user profile link to the key that is used? Eg auto selects Phil when Key 1 is used and Dave when Key 2 is used

That's great. With the Active Info Display, I see your profile is set up to read kms, where Phil's is in miles. So you can set this parameter yourself, yes? I'm about to buy one in the UK and ship it to NZ. Everything is in kms here and I've been told there is no way you can set the display on the car to show kms. Seems I've been told wrong - could you verify for me? Cheers.
I believe you can. You enter the Car menu, select settings, go down to units. This setting should be in there. If it's not, it'd be hidden in the secret service menu which I believe is still accessed by holding down the menu button. Obviously I'm still waiting for mine to be delivered but I'm sure Stable Lease can confirm if this is indeed true.

Mk7 pro Nav. How do I disable when both my wife and I are in the car and both of our phones connect via Bluetooth. It’s annoying if the passenger gets a call and it plays through the car speakers. I only want whoever drives to be Bluetooth connected. I have viewed and tried everything I know including driver profiles but still connects both phones. Can you help thx
Re comment by Chris It may be obvious (not to me!) but how do I associate a specific profile with a key so that the profile selected on entry matches key being used to open the car and adjusts seat settings plus other profile characteristics ? Thanks Howard

After a couple go months, i finally sorted how to assign the key to profile (thanks to a mate who is a VW Tech) open car with second key - select profile - then go to vehicle - personalisation, scroll down and where it says key to profile change from Manual to auto( i think) and then hit unlock on the key fob and it will save that profile to the key.
So I put myself on driver1 and my wife on driver2. If we’re both in the car you put it on the driver settings you want the Bluetooth to connect to?
I have noticed the sat nav screen comes up frosted when you turn the car on -- is this normal do you know or am I missing a setting somewhere ?. Also have not found any trip meter as of yet (?) grateful any suggestion/s
What are your thoughts on the latest Active Info Display on the Tiguan (it changed in 2019) compared to the older display (2016-18)?
I've just brought a vw passat r line and every time I start the car it comes on with the previous owner on the dash which pisses me and then I have to scroll through to select my profile. How do you delete the previous owners profile. Thanks
Question off point, sorry! Do you really need dynamic hassis control for the 18” wheels on the Passat saloon? Is it something specifically recommended for the 19”wheels?

My question is, can the speed dial be changed to kph. I have the display at the bottom in kph, but the dial figures remains in mph.

Hi Dave. What are the differences between the standard nav/ unit. And the nav pro/unit. Is the £1300 worth the money. Also DCC. What does it do and is it worth the £890 etc. Sorry for so many questions. I just ordered a fully loaded R so hopping the money spent is worth it. And if not should I pull any off. Also as stated before. Maybe a vid on the wheel choices.

Using the dials on the right of the steering wheel. Here you can move through the menu system and make tweaks to the 'Active Info Display'. Hope this helps!

Not a great idea to put your home address into the GPS, If you ever get you bag/keys stolen they now know your address and that your not home and have your house key
It's an interesting point, but we know a lot of people will still use this feature.
If you select a gps position at the end of your street as your home, then the satnav will still get you home, but any thieves won’t know your actual address.👍
Can I change the voice on the VW Discover Sat Nav.
