Our tuxedo cat likes to stand on my notebook and run in place with her front paws or something. Don't know how to explain it but it's really cute, she does it in the morning if I left my notebook open though. It looks so goofy because she has a mustache.

Pretty sure it's American, we never had it in Ireland when I was growing up and I'm only 27 I've only ever seen it on tv

It's a thing in Germany too. On the other hand West Germany and especially the area I'm from was under heavy American influence from around '45 to 2000
I played it in Scotland with my wee bro, jumping in between furniture n dat!
Ideas:
1. Will she choose elevated platforms instead of the floor to go from point A to B.
2. A maze of mirrors.
3. Balloons. Some taped down, some free. But deep like a ball pit.
