I had an Iron Cobra for a solid decade. Beside a small wreackage of the beater base, it worked absolutely perfectly, smooth, but with a fast punch. I have had lots of different pedals. Someday I´m gonna get an Iron Cobra pedal again.
i have been searching for my favourite pedal to buy in the future, for eleven years now and finally i know it is the tama one! here is why: 1. All adjustments are adjustable independedly from each other (i know a lot of pedals can do that) 2. (This is especially important to me) All adjustments can be fixed and are repeatable, because of the marks! Thank you for putting this video up, i am now a hooked tama iron/speed cobra fan!
Dude that is a beautiful rim on that kick and you should really get a rim protector. Pearl sells them for a couple bucks but they are worth a million when it comes to protecting that wood rim.
I've had my Iron cobra for over a decade. I've used it in 1000's of shows and it still works perfectly. I broke the nut on the beater weight but other than that it still feels great. Looking at this video seems to have all the same features except for the black lock for the beater . I love Tama products.
I went back to iron cobras from Speed Cobras. I have the less expensive version of the speed cobra and it was noisy. I have a double pedal and upgraded the cross bar to trick pro one. It made a difference.
I'm bummed Tama didn't integrate actual 10 and 20 gram weights on the beaters like literally everyone else is doing. For 500 dollars we should get more options....idk it's a great pedal but I will stick with the Yamaha direct drive....wayy more playing options and feels
Interesting. Watching this helped me decide AGAINST the Iron Cobra! Not because it isn't a great pedal but, not a good idea for some playing. From here it looks like the frame sets the beater a bit too high for an 18" bass. Too bad. Otherwise it all looks fantastic! Thanks for the video Joe. You helped me avoid a problem buying a Christmas gift.

I may have an older Iron Cobra pedal, but I love it, and would'nt play any other pedal
Since I got mine for free cause I'm sponsored by tama I think it's worth buying cause these pedals will make you sound amazing

Now I have go spend more money. Thanks alot 😊
finally... the original video.
Very helpful video.🙏🙏
you can’t adjust the angle of the footboard and the angle of the beater independently on the iron cobra 600
this seems more like a how too than a review. I would like to know more about the pedals features. Kind of like the DW 9000 series video.
👌👌👌✌️🇨🇱

With the included drum key you can adjust the beater height and angle in seconds.
