Absolutely soul touching.
Its occurred to me that Susan was the victim of old-fashioned views and perhaps selfishness. My ex husband had aspbergers syndrome and nobody thought to prevent him from going to university and having a professional life. I've known other men of science like him , I expect many great men were, and relied a great deal on a wife. Susan looked after her parents , as a lot of daughters did in those days. The asbergers was just an excuse to keep her at home and not allow her to marry as she wanted to. To report on her " first " boyfriend is silly , he was the second , she had a romance when she was young. Still justice has been done now . !
