So , Been a KTM fan for many years ... had a 2001 Lc4 640 ... put only about 3k miles on it b4 moving to a home that i wasnt able to ride much ... Unfortunately the bike sat for the last 10 years ... i did put a lot of marine Stabilizer in it and sprayed the bike down with anti corrosion.. I just sold it to a freind .. but .. time out in the back building took a toll on a few things im sure ... the bike Still Looks like New , but the New Owner of it is having a hard time keeping it running ... he got some oil blow back into the air box , and it seems to stall out a lot .. forks are leaking a bit (50mm extreme's) .. Could you do a Vid on What are the top 10 things to do to a Bike like this . ???
We are actually building a crazy over the top 'Project 502' bike right now (502 because it's 1 more than any other 501). We thought of possibly doing a 10 best mods for sure. Keep an eye out for that at some point. Won't be right away, but it's in the books to do!
Absofreakinglutely. That’s the first thing we do. Why? 15% more surface area (I think more but I’m not at the shop) is never a bad thing. Plus, they are simply better in terms of materials. The stock clutches have been notoriously bad in quality so for the Sonora Rally we ran one of these. I personally checked it 4 times during the event and it was in perfect condition regardless of the flogging our animal rider put it through. These are legit clutches for sure.

I can't believe it didn't occur to me to put the spring on the outer clutch cover before reinstalling it. It's the little things!
