Delta Force is a series of first-person shooter video games by NovaLogic created in 1998. They are often included in the sub-genre labeled "tactical shooters". NovaLogic was the primary developer and license holder of the franchise until the acquisition of its assets by THQ Nordic on October 31, 2016.
Delta Force was the first game in the series, featuring multiple campaigns including catching a drug lord in Peru and campaigns against rebels in Chad, Uzbekistan, Indonesia and the Russian island of Novaya Zemlya.
Delta Force: Hawk Ops was announced in August 2023. It is set to be a free-to-play, cross-platform title, being released across PC, consoles, and smartphones. While the multiplayer modes are set to feature both competitive, large-scale, class-based combat and cooperative play against AI-controlled opponents, the singleplayer campaign will be a remake of the campaign from Black Hawk Down.
Battlefield 2042 is a first-person shooter, developed by DICE and published by Electronic Arts. The twelfth main installment in the Battlefield series, it was released on November 19, 2021, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Unlike previous games in the series, Battlefield 2042 is solely multiplayer and does not have a single-player campaign. It features support for cross-platform play, a first in the series. Battlefield 2042 received mixed reviews from critics and a negative reception from players for its technical issues, lack of features, and certain changes to the gameplay. The game failed to meet the sales expectations of Electronic Arts.
Similar to its predecessors, Battlefield 2042 is a multiplayer-focused first-person shooter. As the game is set in the near future, it features futuristic weapons and gadgets like deployable turrets and drones, as well as vehicles that players can control. Players can request a vehicle air-drop to any location. The game introduced a "Plus" system which allows players to customize their weapons on the spot. The class system is significantly overhauled and removes the four defined classes from previous games; instead, players can assume control of a specialist who falls under the four traditional Battlefield gameplay classes of Assault, Engineer, Medic, and Recon. These characters can wield any of the weapons and gadgets that a player has unlocked. Each operator has their own unique skills and gadgets. For instance, one of the specialists, Emma "Sundance" Rosier, is equipped with a wingsuit, while another, Maria Falck, is equipped with a healing pistol. Levolution and destructive environments from Battlefield 4 return in Battlefield 2042, and extreme weather effects such as tornadoes and sandstorms which may affect gameplay. The game featured seven maps at launch, including 'Breakaway', the largest map in the history of the Battlefield franchise.
Shooting guns in BF is like firing a pellet gun. In DF however feels like you're firing a hand cannon.

Idk man, I've always feel like Battlefield 2024's gunplay and movements were weird and clunky, so Hawk Ops fixes that but the graphics and the destruction are missing, so it balances the whole thing. I know it's just a beta and i can't wait to play it ! Finally some concurrence for BF !
Actually on the note of destruction they just rolled in an update that makes almost everything destructible

7:09 As a 3D modeler/animator, I know how annoying it is to animate arms and wrists, but you're not supposed to rotate the hand bone that way if you can help it. You're supposed to rotate the upperarm and forearm, otherwise it distorts the wrists to hell. It also makes sense because your wrist doesn't actually rotate at all, it's all in your forearms, which is surprisingly difficult to pull off well in 3D. Really makes you appreciate how much of a miracle the human arm is.

I noticed that the fires are more pronounced on df than on bf but also the particles are more present in the event of an explosion against the colors are vivid and realistic too
The graphics have a feeling of being better because of good specular and light reflection
Without would be like shit, battlefield 3, 4 and so on doesn’t even need specular and reflection to be good cause colors palette and textures are super b
Gun sounds in Delta Force might sound a bit meatier but still prefer the overall sound design of 2042. Explosions just sound scarier in 2042 and damn do the tanks sound powerful. makes deltaforce tanks sound like pirate ship cannons in comparison.

I feel like the animation on BF2024 feels very clunky, but very fluid delta force.
You have to try the online mode, not offline, there is a difference there in 2042

The only things Delta Force does better than BF2042 is gunplay, and maps (so far there's only 2, but they are miles better than 2042's maps), and the fact that it will be free

@@IlConteSky I disagree, sound design is just as, if not more inportant than gunplay, and in DF, enemy footsteps are really quiet (I know there is an operator with a quiet trait, im not talking about her), but I only played the Battlefield mode, so maybe its better in the battle royale mode. Also, the movement is really clunky in DF (which is another inportant part of game design), transitioning from prone to full sprint, stucking on props, slow object climbing etc. matter as much as gunplay, maps and pricetag

Only thing delta force does better is the weapon customization. Everything else is miles better in battlefield.
You should compare it to modernwarfare ground war instead, it's more similar to that than battlefield.
Yes felt more like COD ground war, then Bf2042. The gunplay was decent, but the vehicles physics and movement was really bad. Its definitely a good free alternative to Battlefield, but its not really going to convince BF players to switch. If they can work on the vehicle physics and smoother gunplay and movement this game can be good.
Nah, gunplay and sound design are better in DF. Movement is debatable, 2042 feels too loose and DF feels too stiff. Weapon animations and model action animations are also better in DF
@@Pelayum if by model action animation you mean the 3rd person character animation, it's crazy to say any fps game on the market comes close to how good battlefields are
@@munir9781 I was referring to vaulting, assassinations, and sprinting, so on. The shooting aspect is done better in 2024 of course.
Modern Warfare 2019 and 2 are on par, if not better than 2024's third person animations.
DF's facial animations are nonexistent unfortunately.
@@munir9781 Both are first person shooters, I think it's obvious that the person was talking about first person animations mainly like shooting/visual recoil, reloads, running, sprinting etc animations.

Not gonna lie, I find the announcer sounds cringe in Delta Ops.
People are just desperate for anything nowadays. You can feel the cheapness in audio and atmosphere in delta. It almost feels like a Mobile game port.
Funny you should mention that, since it's also getting released on mobile.

I severely believed that they used assets from Arena Breakout. They’re from the same company from China Tencent. Also there is a mobile delta force game coming out, so it makes sense ;D

DF looks like a cheap BF... but that's exactly what it is. Free, actually. That also seems to fix core issues of the latest BF games. So overall, it can be a huge win in my book.

Movement feels extremely disjointed, as if the player had no weight in the game environment.
Vehicles lack feeling and immersion, and the 3D camera is too close.
This game is exactly like Caliber.

I dont want delta force to be a free game, otherwise cheaters will ruin everything in 1 mount. Also Delta Force will need a strong anticheat....
I think bf2042 is a bit more cinematic, they try so hard to make the gameplay feel more fluid, Delta force is more forcused on fun aspect, its definitely more fun than battlefield and i have no idea why, i guess it just came out, give it some time and it will belong to the trash dump of history.
