The engine in that little Komatsu isn't even trying. That isn't much more than an idle. He could have removed that dirt berm at the end and kept going easily.
Pay attention 3:17 on, reason he has no trouble and probably why he dropped his blade is the pan (the part on the sled that digs in to slow you down) Isn't even touching the ground, he can't get his rippers low enough. So he probably dropped his blade to try and get that to make it "harder"
quite a fast travel speed, I worked on a few Komatsus in the 1970's they had Cummins engines, the 855 cu inch n ntc clean exhaust and heavily muffled too, nice,
You better build a one monster of a sled that has drop down rippers and sled keeps diving deeper but I think a small dozer like a 3 or4 with ripper so he could pick up sled pan!
It’s not called a “sledge”.The item is called a “sled.”A sled is used on a farm to haul farm implements from one place to another. My grandfather used a small sled in the surrounding neighborhood to carry the plows on.UNTIL, his newly purchased pony, inexperienced, decided he had as much of that sled. The sled, pony, and all went very fast down the road, by our house, into the field, sled parts being thrown all along the road.
I guess that's ""Y"" thay use Dozers. to pull scrapers that have no power themselfs. Great great job Komatsu, I have the D- 65EX only thing it's about 1: 2/5 the Scale. You just can not beat the power of Dozers..........
@@stuarth43 Like I said there are scrapers that have no power....... So you are right it is about tracks The power to pull and tracks to fill bowl and carry to dump spread.
That thing is not even rolling coal, all go no show. I'd rather watch a 100+ year old CASE steam traction machine blasting embers out of her stack, hauling the sled down the line like it's nothing.
@nordhorny cummins makes their engine what you told me SAA6D114E-6 literally that tells me that its a turbo, air to air cooler, 6 cylinder, inline engine, 114 diameter pistons, meets EPA regulations, and version 6. Thats cummmins engine code
Hell I could that with a gin truck pick up front of sled and just carry it down there! You just gave pullers a cheating idea just mount a winch back there and winch it up! Or hyd hitch that raises!
Ig ya notice he got his rippers lightly engaged. Even though tha is a heavy machine it wouldve juust spun out but with rippers slightly engaged that gave him enough downforce for good traction especially in that tacky red clay
Rippers are low to to keep front of sled low but it didnt work. Easy pull with front of sled off the ground but I'm pretty sure thst dozer would have handled it anyway.
the phrase 'bringing a gun to a knife fight' springs to mind … effortless for that machine
Reminds me of the big bud 747 sled pull
Next time I will also drive over 200 tons of giant mining trucks over to play!😃😃😂
he could have easily shifted one gear up too.
So he was at full pull, ripping and pushing dirt at the same time! Show off! The speed across the ground is pretty amazing too. A beast!!!
hardly ripping, just tickling the surface
legend has it he's still pulling it
Great comment!
Hydraulic drivetrain plus massive weight plus tracks is unstoppable.

No smoking komatssu its a beauty... forever. Jaapan
well that settles that argument .... Dozers are built for pulling ....awesome.
diamonddog257 pushing, actually
Both actually
drag racing actually
If it was a cat your little penis would be erect.
Jumping actually
hilarious how he puts down the blade to add more resistance and the dozer still pushes through!
Komatsu 575A laughing in the distance..... it would probably rip 2m deep and push a blade full of dirt and pull that sled around without even knowing!
Yup big power.
@@rjmittleider5011 no, weight is more relevant
The dozer be like “you are not even trying sled “😂😂
Great video!!
he could have pulled that sled into the next county. nice wide pads provide lots of traction
Did he warm up the oil with this pull? I don't think so.
I will see if my boss will let me take my D11 Cat from work to a sledge pull.
Dozers can pull incredibly hard plus, that one had the right grousers (tracks) for that type of soil.
RR KNL you mean lgp

Was that a pull sled ? I did notice a bulldozer for the entire time.

Was this for testing the sled or did he really just want to do a pull?
Komatsu d475-8 or new Cat d11 will be awesome on this Pulling Event)))

And without any smoke!!
so the best tractor is a dozer?
But they are slow and can't drive on the roads. lol
That thing it's pretty agile on it's own when unloaded.
JIGA BACHI hell yeah it is, moves around like a little d6 or somethin.
Did a nice job of aerating their lawn as well lol 😆
Ile km ??

Sledge is a type of sled, typically a heavy duty one. Or put it another way, a sled is a light sledge.
I'd like to see a contest between this dozer and a steam tractor ( traction engine ). Maybe even a tug of war.
There is a You Tube clip of a hundred plus y/o steam tractor taking the sled home!! But round wheels with steel spikes. Made it look easy
It's all about traction
The steam tractor would get utterly destroyed by this bulldozer. Not even close to being a match. Tracks + hydraulics + more power = win.
This is a 217HP Engine @ 1950rpm
opaque man way more hp then 217
And at least 2170 torque ...
@@ACBmx Just googled it, yup, 217hp in the 65x
A.C Bmx no. Slow moving equipment doesn’t need big hp, because of all the reductions they have all the torque they need
The best doozer is komatsu !
Great pull mate go all the way cheers
Good to know the music is just as bad at Danish farming events as it is at Irish ones! 😂
The front of the sled never touched the ground
Not fair. He had the win at his back.
Det er lidt snyd. Den kan ligeså godt skubbe den for det kan den også
Bellissimo
Og så grubber han endda lige banen lidt på vejen.
You guys want me to drop the blade level this out a bit while I'm pulling your sleds?
This hydraulic power
Guys it's a freaking Sled
Sledge hammer, that is not. Lol.
Sledge
noun
a vehicle on runners for conveying loads or passengers over snow or ice, often pulled by draft animals.
Show off, having his rippers down also! lol
There's maximum height for the drawbar.
torque + traction = full pull.

What? ...top gear! Presumably you own it or you would be fired anywhere else !
At the end it stopped and began driving again👊🏻
It has 200 HP engine... Slightly more than prius, like golf TDI... Yeah same power output as golf TDI... But it moves whole bunch of dirt around
OH, what am I pulling? A fly or what!

Nighthawke70 CASE power baby...
..und sogar noch den Aufreißer dabei im Boden..
und vorne schiebt er auch noch am Schluss weg... wobei das aufreißen könnte sogar hilfreich sein, da nur teile des Ballastet auf dem Boden reiben.

First time I've ever seen that small of cylinders on the blade before, and the Ripper is to small on the Dozer
Apparantly only a problem for you.
Get the right sled and he will stop the dozer, guarantied .

Danish country music...hmmm
If it did not pull it something wrong with it put 500k behind it and then see what happens

too bad its not a "Catepillar"
Mark Brommer ha!! komatsu at this point is out doing cat and deere for small dozers
Komatsu is easier to work on, and more reliable than a cat. Thanks to the cummins engine
65 dozer good mashean better than cat shit
Cat crap wouldn`t have reached a full pull.
@@Brandy911 Would easily reach
