- Shericka ‘Jacko’ Jackson was leaving nothing behind in her 2022 Season. After being known predominantly as a 400 meters sprinter in the earlier years of her career, she decided to switch to the 100 meters and 200 meters in her 2021 season which saw her taking bronze in the 100 meters at the Tokyo Olympics Games last year, making her only the second woman behind Poland’s Irena Szewińska to have medaled in the 100 meters and 400 meters at the Olympic Games.

If Shericka Jackson had done the same, and had run at her top speed right through the finish line, she might have set a new world record in the women's 200 metre sprints. Jamaican sprinters should stop slowing down before the finish line. It is time for Shericka Jackson to beat Florence Griffith Joyner's illegal drug assisted world records in the 100 metre and 200 metre races.
