As I don't have time to make some more new videos, here's at least some old footage of some of my juvenile crocodile skinks. I hope I'll be able to produce some more videos again next year.

General Information on Tribolonotus gracilis:
"Tribolonotus gracilis is a species of skink endemic to New Guinea.
Tribolonotus gracilis are found in New Guinea. They live in tropical forests and have also been found in human-populated areas.
They are commonly known as red-eyed crocodile skinks, or, rarely, red-eyed bush crocodile skinks.
Tribolonotus gracilis is one of the few species of lizards that vocalize when in distress. When startled, they tend to freeze and have been known to "play dead" (even when handled).
Red-eyed crocodile skinks can be sexed using the pores on their front feet as only males have these "pores". Females have only a single working ovary (right ovary), laying one egg at a time. The female often curls around the egg. They show tendencies for mother-child family groups. Male crocodile skinks will battle other males for females and females can be territorial as well."

Thanks! To be honest, if you have an adult pair it's really easy to breed them. :D

@AquaTerra-Life I currently have 2 pairs.. and yes they breed easily, just imo I'm gonna remove the babies once they can eat on themselves, I don't want any accidents

Hey hast du zufällig einen Tipp bei der Anschaffung dieser Tiere ? Züchtest du welche oder kennst du vielleicht einen Züchter ?
Ich züchte sie zwar, habe aber nur ein Pärchen, also höchstens ein Ei alle drei Monate. Mittlerweile werden sie aber immer wieder mal auch als Nachzuchten angeboten, du könntest einfach mal bei Terraristik.com suchen oder in der Facebook-Gruppe "Das Buschkrokodil - Tribolonotus gracilis / novaeguineae" nach Züchtern gucken.

How long does it take for them to not be shy anymore? Mine hides 90% of the time and she hasn’t touched her food. Her tank is pretty good. She’s in a 10 gallon tank, with tons of fake/real plants and the humidity is about 70-80. I mist the tank 2-3 times a day. I added rocks under the soil and mat. I use the UVB bulb light.
I'm having the same issue. I've only had them for one week but have seen one out of the pair for literally only a brief time when I caught it bathing in the morning. Pretty much the same setup but with real plants only and in a larger tank.
There's no rule how long it takes, some will probably stay super shy forever, as the species in general is very secretive. I can just recommend to be super patient and try to get them slowly used to the tweezers and after that to your hand. But this can take weeks or months.

Hallo, erstmal wirklich schöne Videos die du machst! Ich überlege mir selbst irgendwann in der Zukunft ein Paludarium zu bauen. Rotaugen Skinke fände ich per se sehr schön als Bewohne, allerdings lese ich immer wieder Berichte von Haltern die die Tiere als äußerst scheu bezeichnen und der Meinung sind man würde sie fast nie zu Gesicht bekommen. Hast du die gleichen Erfahrungen gemacht? Wenn nein, was machst du evtl anders? Außerdem bin ich mir trotz aller Foreneinträge, Berichte etc nach wie vor unsicher ob die Tiere nun letztlich Tag oder dämmerungs/nachtaktiv sind. Sicherlich hängt das auch mit der Beleuchtung des Paludariums zusammen. So oder so schonmal vielen Dank. Freue mich auf weitere Videos
Hi, vielen Dank! Also, prinzipiell sind es wirklich eher scheue Tiere. Wenn man sehr viel Zeit und noch mehr Geduld investiert, kann man sie aber auch an das Fressen aus der Pinzette oder Hand gewöhnen. Außerdem scheint zu gelten: Umso besser strukturiert das Becken und umso mehr Verstecke zur Verfügung stehen, desto mutiger sind sie und zeigen sich öfter. Allerdings muss man sich schon darüber im Klaren sein, dass das Becken oft wochenlang "leer" aussehen kann. Insbesondere nach dem Transport sind sie oft lange sehr scheu und zurückgezogen.
Meine Tiere sind dämmerungs- und tagaktiv. Nachts sind sie nur selten unterwegs und eher beim Schlafen zu beobachten. Wie das bei anderen ist, kann ich aber nicht sagen.

I feed a mix of earthworms, isopods and crickets. The crickets I dust with calcium powder and a vitamin mix maybe once a week.
