@cuprashoe It definitely gives me DS2 vibes with the constant gank squad enemies and super easy bosses. The game needed another few years in the oven, they rushed it out the door 💯 hence why they have released multiple patches and it still doesn't run well lol.
Lotf is a disaster in every regard imo. I shit on Lies for being way to linear but after playing through the confusing mess that is lotf I much prefer how Lies did it. Lies just feels more fun to play because how flawless it runs compared to lotf.

The debate between lies of p and lords of the fallen is dark souls vs sekiro is playstyle. If you have poor timing, bad reaction vs self control with timing(aka staggers) and exhausting different methods of victory (parries dont work ima try dodging) and gice versa. Lords of the fallen is just dark souls, gives you a pretty lenient dodge and not multiple defense mechanics where your own player choice could affect your gameplay. Lords ofnthe fallen plays itself
informative video, is lords of the fallen confusing to progress? is lies of p similar to sekiro? i did not liked sekiro and i am done with souls games, i want proper story telling and difficulty options
Lords of the fallen has multiple ways to progress and can get confusing at times without a walkthrough especially for quest lines but if you’re no stranger to souls games then you know what to expect. It’s as close to a souls game as it comes besides the performance issues. Lies of P is more linear and has combat similar to sekiro but with more freedom in weapon choice. Heavy emphasis on deflecting. Both were great games. Hope this helps!
I think enemies are generally more fun to fight in lords of the fallen, lies of P enemies had very weird awkward and unintuitive movesets which were annoying to deal with. But Lords of the Fallen didnt have that many great bosses, and the final boss was really disappointing.
Lords of the fallen and its not even close in my opinion. I had so much fun discovering all the 10/10 world had to offer. Lies of P levels felt quite stale to me, even if they were visually pleasing
That’s exactly how I felt! I would rather have my soulslike be interconnected and confuse the hell outta me with level design and choice then just a straight shot from boss to boss. The level design also made me appreciate new game plus more in LOTF too since without vestiges the short cuts and figuring out the level design really means something in repeated playthroughs.

Especially because on repeat playthorughs I can kill dancer and unlock four new areas, or go to dlc straight after crystal sage. But yea figuring out all the connecting paths was a blast in lotf

@firstorderblade4432 No it wasn't a blast, it was a chore. Alot of people myself included have dropped lotf like a bad habit, extremely mid game that runs like utter shit.
@quetzal9020 yeah some of them are very easy and gimmick heavy. I personally hate the hollow crow, that might be one of the worst boss fights in all of souls but when LoTF gets them right I love them.

Lies is straight up a bloodborne game where the action is more fast paced and focus on parries/reactions. Lotf is more of a dark souls 3 where the game takes a slower pace with many more threats of death, to provide a more strategic/slower playstyle. It'd be much better to point out what each of those games got right and wrong in it's "category".

hands down lotf for me not even close. i think one of the reasons i didnt enjoy LoP as much was because i was grinding bloodblorn for about 100hrs before immediately switching to LoP after i starteds to get a bit bored of bloodborne and LoP was just too similar, i didnt feel excited to come home and play it lioke i do with lotf right now. lotf might not be as good at a technical level but it just feels good to play. im 50 hrs in and im not bored yet. I still feel excited for my weekends to come up so i can grind the hell out of this game.
Sorry but LOP doesn't even play like BloodBorne at all dude & I like how you not even complain LOTF have similarly with dark Souls, you also not even complain about how awfull the enemy placement with spam mobs which thank god lies of P didn't do that at all,, also you not complain how LOTF have really weak mobs enemy variety which is show you how biased your LOTF takes

No you’re totally correct that’s why LoTF got the point in art direction and I praise it for it’s backdrops but ultimately when most people and myself refer to modern day graphics it’s performance and framerate based.

Haven’t played Lies of P yet but LOTF has been really dope! LOTF should get an extra point for all the Berserk references.
