I got one this summer and I really like it. It's perfect for commuting in NYC with its compactness and light weight. The suspension works surprisingly well and has a good amount of power, no problems on hills. Of course the company has a great reputation for quality.
I bought the Apollo Pro but at 77lb it's impractical for a walk up. I am selling to switch out to a more city friendly scooter and this review is helpful. Thanks! One question: without a local retail store how do you get it fixed?
@@jamesdspaderf2883 James there are videos online that will tell you how to maintain the scooter. I would also recommend joining Electric Scooter Guide. Fantastic review, super informative. Loved how I was able to track the speed / distance the whole video. This has very much helped inform my decision to purchase.
@@ElectronSurfer Especially for this type of scooter too. People interested in it like it because it's low weight / high portability and yet is supposed to have a best in class range. So seeing a detailed range like this is critical to understand if it will withstand an individual's daily commute. Only review I saw (and I think I watched all of them) that showed this level of detail.
I like the idea of these lightweight scooters with decent performance. I guess depends if I need the gt or the cheaper one will do. Love the name, ET-WOW ;-)
02:40 About the height of the stem in it's highest position. "kind of on the low side". Can you relate that to your own height? I'm 190 cm (about 6.23 ft) myself. Thanks.
@farbror Frej, I always put that info in the description, I am now doing it with cm/mm as well. Here they are position 1: 37 (94cm) position 2: 39.5 (100 cm). I used to cover all those dimensions in the video but have tried to make a little shorter videos. Have a good one!
Helo, how does it compare to Ninebot Max g30? Quality etc. I know that the ninebot is much slower and cheaper but still. which is better? I'd like to use 3-4 times a week and almost never would transport it on public transport.
I haven't ridden the g30. The regular Max is a totally different scooter. This one is faster, more compact but the ride is rougher even though it has suspension. I have heard the range on the Max is nowhere near advertised. Sounds like I need to review a G30!
The ninebot scooters are best if you're in UK or tropical country because they have a IPx5 rating on the body and IPx7 rating on battery and internals. It's tough, well built has good range, can handle the rain but it's slow and heavy. You can always mod your max tho, you can run CFW and install 48v battery with 500w motor, that's why people love the max. The e-twow 2021 model also has decent water resistance and even faster, but the best thing is it's lite weight and compact.
2 years later and 2300 km later, still going strong with zero maintenance. I do nothing. I might pay $200 for a new motor since the front tire is so worn. The motor comes with the tire and changing it is easy compared to the work it takes to switch the tire.
Right on, thanks for checking in. I just reviewed the new GT Sport and I think the GT 2020 like this one is a better overall scooter. I have attempted to change the solid tire...what a pain, I think changing the motor like you say is the way. Thanks again!
I want I know something. I take the bus very almost 15 mile to work.. if I buy this scooter will it take me to work on one fully charge to 14 mile far?
I have never tried out the Widewheel, I've heard mixed results. The trail is a great spot to ride, I just watch my speed and try to find a time when pedestrians aren't really out. When you get up past Lake Natoma it gets really beautiful and peaceful. If you see me out on the trail say hello.

Hey there @Ginger On Wheels! I use a Sony action camera with GPS. There is a Sony app that then lets you do the overlay. I really want this scooter do you think I will fit okay as I’m 6’7” or will be all a hunched over? If you don’t think I can what sort of scooters do think would be a good alternative to this?
@Jordan Davies, I think most scooters are kinda low for guys of your height unless you have pretty long arms. To me the Etwow's potential issue is the deck, a wider deck would give you some more potential riding positions to offset your height. 41" from the deck up is about as high as I've seen stock scooter handlebars. Thanks for asking.
18 miles in sports mode and only down to 20% is incredible for something that small, If I knew I would get that I would buy it in a heartbeat. But every other review for the GT is around 13-15 miles and thats taking it all the way down to 0%. Even ESG has it barely over 15 miles. Looks like you got the super scooter haha
Most other GT's are the GT SE which had a smaller battery. This one was 14ah vs. 11.4ah, perhaps that is the difference? I can only report what I observed.
I guess it's either bumpy ride or flat tires. Another reviewer doing a review on a diff model I was looking at got a flat on the unboxing ride. That was a 61 lb scooter.
I have gotten a first ride flat on a ebike, luckily not on a scooter...what a buzz kill! I would say it is either a "buzzy" ride or flats. The Dualtron Compact, Varla Pegasus, and Etwow scooters have solid tires and good enough suspension to remove most of the bumps, however there is a level of road buzz through solid tires you just can't remove totally. Repairing flats is a huge bummer and I hope we see more advances in tires as scooter get more popular.
The scooter has been great, it is actually the scooter I ride personally. I don't get as many miles as I'd like this time of year and with reviewing other scooters, but after 200 miles it's still spot on!
can you please review a scooter that look like the zero 9 but is from wish. I would love to see that. There $350 so its much cheaper but is it realy that bad?
@Fran Jobel, Uscooter is a US distributor of Etwow. I bought this from another distributor that doesn't carry them now. I am not sure if Uscooters carrries this one or just the GT SE which has a lower amount of battery watt hours. This GT 2020 has a 48v/14ah battery, I think the SE is a 48v/10.4ah. So this is similar to Uscooters but could be a different battery.
