How to remove and replace the steering wheel on a Volkswagen Golf 4

I watched about 9 videos on this subject trying to remove the Mk4 airbag and they all suggested a flathead screwdriver. I struggled for 2 hours with no results. After watching your video and switching to a more round screwdriver i had the airbag out within 5 minutes. A HUGE thank you. I was just about to give up. The round screwdriver is the secret weapon.

Big brain move using lock tight on that bolt! I would have forgotten this step and been in for a fun surprise one of these days! 😂

Thanks for the walk-through! It would be useful to also tell the viewers the center bolt bit type needed (Some are M12 tripple square and yours appears to be a hex bit so I'm not sure what size you had to use). Rock on-
