I just started listening to Bob Marley’s music after watching the movie. I can’t believe I waited so long. Now I can’t stop listening to him. ❤💚💛His vocals and musical talent is so refreshing and unique still all these years.

Blessed is anyone who was fortunate enough to experience a Bob & Wailers concert. I hear they were transcendent. Probably the world’s most important musical figure in history.
I grew up list to Marley. He was a famous star in the late 70s and 80s and stills to this date. I remembered everywhere I went such a coffee shop, friend house... etc. I would listen to Bob Marley. He took traditional regea of Jamaica that is based just on drum and introduced modern equipment as guitars, saxophone,keyboard..ect, and created a new version of regea that invaded the world. Not to forget , his lyrics, he talked about injustice in this world, the racism, the hopes. He was truly a pure artist who tried to use the music as a platform to touch and change the world.
Absolutely. Only those who lived during that time know what a true international music superstar Bob Marley was in 1978-'79. They don't come any bigger than how big he was. And not only because it was great music but he came across as genuine. There was no bullshit about him. What you saw was what you got. And I'm sure you know the very difficult poverty in which he grew up which just magnifies what it must it have been like for him to go into the stratosphere of wealth and game? They say he went back to the village where he grew up and they said to him, "You're not Bob Marley. You're an imposter. The real Bob Marley would never come back here, not to this dreadful place," or something to that effect. And agree Bob was a true artist in every sense and of the kind there's not many in the music business. He definitely had a thing or two to say, moet importantly, that's what I always liked, his brashness and outspokenness. He made you listen, dared you to listen, maybe. And that band, they deserve just as much credit. It was a true ensemble and cohesive unit, a true band, I guess. This performance is also just flawless.
Not certain where you got your information from but nine miles which is wheee Bob came from was not dreadful at all ! It is a beautiful hamlet in the parish of St Ann , trench town which is where he honed his talents was not paradise , but it was a place where the scourge of colonial brutality bred a pool of the extremely inspired and talented people like Bob to rise above hate and bigotry. Although not picture perfect trench town was beautiful in its own way . Respectfully from another citizen of that horrible place that you have referenced🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲

I was just a tyke when this music was being made and aired on the radio waves in my beloved Jamaica. My late Dad would've been in the same age group as Bob Marley and the Wailers, Peter Tosh, The I Threes...I literally learned to talk and sings to these rhythms. I remember the debates and controversies over wether the music coming out of the local youths would ever be established on the World's stage. Can't anything good come out of the world of the poor, Black and fatherless of Jamaicas people? Leading up to the release of 'One Love' , my heart gets more and more full as I watch the actors make the rounds of morning shows and interviews. I see the excitement in the Marley children, legal wife, former lovers and peers tell and retell what it was like when Bob Marley was alive. I'm most excited about the story being told by the people who lived, loved and experienced a piece of His beautiful soul. My Jamaican elders are all past, the last one in October. My memories of them are intermingled with these sounds and it's bittersweet.
What a magnificent performance absolutely amazing. The world needed you in these crazy times. Saw The Wailers in Lund Sweden in the late 80s as a 13 year old and can still more 30 years later remember what a fantastic atmosphere in the concert hall. The world misses you so much.
Watching MJ's vids gives me goosebumps, watching Bob literally brings me to tears......FATHER GOD you alone know why.....There's a saying: Die a Hero, or Live long enough to become a Villain.....JAH was not going to let this happen to such a blessed Human Being. Bob Marley reached such a height at such a young age, that when he it was impossible for him to reach any higher, JAH just said "Come home my son, your work is done, but your name shall endure forever". #WhataLegend.
Hard to believe 44 years since this excellent concert. A different era, but his music is timeless, it all sounds better and more heartfelt than most of what I hear today. Jah Rasta!
Oh what a great man! A great prophetic man Started listening him since 1984. Still adore him. Thanks for uplifting me and be more and be more humane Listening your songs make me more humane
Bob Marley lived only 36 years and made this musical phenomenal impact on the world. His one love children with different moms continue to live out his unmatched legacy. Just sooo amazing.
Outstanding show. Incredible stage performance. Marley had top professionals with him. The live instrumentation, the rhythm section and the vocal performances are amazing. Well rehearsed and remarkably executed. All praise due!

I heard of Bob Marley, over the years, but I just started listening at 64 and now I can't stop, I wish I had a started listening years ago, but it's good exercise music relaxing it's just good to listen, and what Bob Marley music was protest music sending a message, it's still needed in multiple geographic areas around the planet.
What a treasure to find this, thank you! I was 18 and just arrived to Santa Barbara from New Jersey this was a pinnacle moment in my life,,, never had been around such high cats like this before
I was young boy in a semi nomad life and one day I heard one of his songs on a studio not far away from our house. I told my friend, I got to understand what this guy says and on it was the beginning of my journey to learn English. What a talent.
Saw him in London back in the late seventies... accompanied by his band The Wailers...saw reggae in a different perspective since then....thanks Bob Marley
I could repeat this video a thousand times. I have never seen a concert where he meticulously dropped numbers like this. He soul lives on as I know God will have compassion in him 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Bob is not a musician, he is a messenger sent on a mission by the most High and he delivered the message well. Avatar don't die, they change form, hence he continues to live through his message of love. Ride on Jah Soldier.
@@SoundScientist1exactly. However Damion is the closet to Bob in turns of messages whe connect. He will sing about a lot of controversial topics whe touch nuff people caaan😂😂😂. My favourite of all the marley children.
There was something special about Bob Marley. He had this electricity and personality that just united people with music. Reggae isn't massively popular...but everyone owns "Legend" by Bob Marley. It wasn't just a reggae album. It was something special. He captured lightning in a bottle. Everyone loves Bob Marley.
The time when you realize, that today's music has no more meaning and soul!!!! R.i.p to all legends of the good old days! Your music has inspired generations! ❤️❤️❤️🎼🎼
Bob Marley stood against the imperial lunatics that stood, until today, to RAPE the NATURAL and HUMAN RESOURSES of ALL THIRD-WORLD COUNTRIES, the only way to secure, nurture and maintain theit vanity of vanities earthly gain and passing fancies. The irritated, exposed, shamed imprrialists had only one thing to to SILENCE him. They killed the PROPHET and thereby spread, promoted and Iconised Him and His Prophetic Message. May God avenge his previous blood on those CRAZY CRIME MINDED BALDHEADS, their Children and Children's in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Amen.
An enduring genius as a songwriter and performer. I've been everywhere from the Florida Keys to the California desert, to BBQ joints in the deep South, rock clubs and EDM Festivals and I have heard Bob Marley songs played in each place. And regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or even politics, you people singing along. Bob transcends.
Wow. I had no idea that this concert existed !! What a set list and what a group of musicians !! The ensemble assembled, none of which I had heard in this iteration. Just gold, so much heart & soul !! What a contribution to society. We should all try harder to hear the message and spread One Love !!
am a proud Jamaican thank u all where ever you are in the world for loving our little island Jamaica land and the music and culture its a blessing to see people from all over showing so much love.
Great rendition of Marley live. No artificial stuff, just pure quintessential songs served by charismatic Bob. Saw him live in Paris, june 1980. Feels like another life, another time...

I had the chance to see him live in “Porte de Pantin “ Paris , France in June 1978 i was 8 years old back then , We lived few blocks away from where the concert was taking place !!! Beautiful childhood memories of that amazing summer night , we were like 20 Moroccan kids and we basically sneaked inside without paying !!!! Until today I remember that show .....
What a crystal clear voice. I saw the film and yes my youth came back when I listened to Bob's music every day... his lyrics are still so meaningful in our current society.❤❤❤ love and peace wil us Unite❤❤
The first time I heard Bob was late in 1981, while I was taking a nap to prepare for my afternoon biology laboratory session, I heard a dormitory mate playing Bob's "Redemption Song." As listened to the wordings, a new feeling suddenly developed in me and I got up and asked: " who sang this song?" And he simply said, "One Bob Marley who passed few months ago" It was the first. time ever to listen to Bob. From that time Bob's music has been part of life!. May his soul rest in perfect peace!
Interesting that he said "one Bob Marley," as opposed to Bob Marley; who has been a worldwide legend years before you were even born. Lucky Dube is another great reggae legend from Soweto, South Africa.. don't know if you're familiar with him. I think the rhythm of reggae did much to enhance the meaningful lyrics of these artists.. who are now to be found world-over...
@@angeec.3312 Indeed, Bob Marley has inspired more than one. Today, thanks to him, Africa is full of many very good reggae singers including Alpha Blondy, Tiken Jah and others. It is even the second homeland of reggae.
@@bassirimakone4978 Actually, when one thinks of the rhythms of Africa, it could be said that reggae got its influence from there.. Yes, I like Alpha Blondy quite a bit; his message is a positive one also.

Jah Rasta!
What they sing today just can't even come close...Bob sang from his inner soul you can hear it in his voice
Well said Rasta...his music is pure enlightenment
What a concert!! Thanks so much for sharing! Long live Bob Marley!
En colère , un coups au moral , écouter Bob Marley me fait revenir sur terre, juger les choses autrement ! humilité humilité !!
The era when living legends walked the Earth .

Nice one my friend
We Will not see the likes of him ever again. Bob Dylan, and the likes Who are still with us Will be the last of the true artists.
All the way from Kenya East Africa we love you so much Bob marley.... the greatest of all time..... your music will never be forgotten...
True legend didn’t do it for the fame or the money ! Did it from his freakin heart !! May god continue to bless this man’s family they deserve it
Oh what a great man! A great prophetic man
Started listening him since 1984.
Still adore him.
Thanks for uplifting me and be more and be more humane
Listening your songs make me more humane
Prophets are specially chosen people by Allah.
Bobmarly's work should not be confused with the duties of the prophet.
Today in history, my most favorite passed. I never know how strong his music can be. May he rest in peace!! Robert Nesta Marley
Bob was so beautiful... like a dream that passes away with the morning light but you remember forever... ♥️😀
Wow you're pulling tears from me 🙏🙏💮💮🌺🏵
One of the greatest philosopher is Bob Marley
Bob Marley lived only 36 years and made this musical phenomenal impact on the world. His one love children with different moms continue to live out his unmatched legacy. Just sooo amazing.
Great performer and legend Bob Marley was 🎶 singing for brotherhood and peace then and died with only 36 years 😢but his spirit lives on forever

I was 18 and just arrived to Santa Barbara from New Jersey this was a pinnacle moment in my life,,, never had been around such high cats like this before
повезло тебе
I was young boy in a semi nomad life and one day I heard one of his songs on a studio not far away from our house. I told my friend, I got to understand what this guy says and on it was the beginning of my journey to learn English. What a talent.
For me it was through Pink Floyd lyrics, but I share my heart with Bob.
Saw him in London back in the late seventies... accompanied by his band The Wailers...saw reggae in a different perspective since then....thanks Bob Marley
I bet Don Letts and Johnny Rotten were in the audience ...
*edit : btw , was it in front of the clock in Brixton , perhaps ?
I could repeat this video a thousand times. I have never seen a concert where he meticulously dropped numbers like this. He soul lives on as I know God will have compassion in him 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Saw him in Stockholm 1980..Too young to die
Bob is not a musician, he is a messenger sent on a mission by the most High and he delivered the message well. Avatar don't die, they change form, hence he continues to live through his message of love. Ride on Jah Soldier.
I never gives up the fight, and I won’t give up the fight, this guy is our legend, his words will live on for centuries to come.
Time go fast I watched him at Hamburg 81 before he passed away
Great man
I just don't know what to even type. I am literally speechless. "Simply amazing"
Even Bob children cannot replicate his unique styles, body language, making the all still hunger for Bob Marley music still elusive !
You are so right 👍🎶❤️
Bob yute them never born & raise up in the same time, navigating poverty, racism, and societal corruption to the same extent as dem Father. 2/06/2024.
@@SoundScientist1exactly. However Damion is the closet to Bob in turns of messages whe connect. He will sing about a lot of controversial topics whe touch nuff people caaan😂😂😂. My favourite of all the marley children.
Sharon Marley is another kind of reggae, with jazz tunes 😊
Bob paved the way for them so their is no hunger in trying to make great music so that most times you see them singing Bobs songs
Oh man…doesn’t matter how much years past…one damn thing I can ultimately say the Legend & King still lives on with no apology 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
If you had pickeneys today, you'd known----i know it everyday today and tomorrow.....

Bob, makes my day. POSITIVE VIBES ❤️💛💚

You are so lucky. Feeling the drums and hearing the music in your own ears and and seeing him with your own eyes is priceless.

@@bassirimakone4978
Actually, when one thinks of the rhythms of Africa, it could be said that reggae got its influence from there.. Yes, I like Alpha Blondy quite a bit; his message is a positive one also.
Still 2024 😂 and listening to Bob since 1978,he wasnt just an artist ,he spend most of his money to helping others and gave hope in his lyrics to people all around the planet .
