Love it. I only like to keep 4 cabinets for the time because the way my gameroom is set up it just looks too cluttered with more than 4. So I sold two cabs (modified Rampage and Costco MKII) and picked up MKII and Class 81 Deluxe cabs. They're SO nice and a hella awesome upgrade from those early Gen cabs I had. I like the way you swapped the kick plate, but I prefer the graphic myself. I think it's sick ass sexy.
Just got this one! It looks amazing! I checked it out with the flipped kickplate, but then went back to the authentic side, like the real cabinet. By the way, don't let Alexa, or any remote powering system turn your newer cabs on and off. It's bad for the PCB, and is why they don't last. A1uup have implemented graceful power/shutdowns on the newer cabs to protect the operating systems which on older cabs become corrupt after repeated hot power cycling too many times. You need to remove the power switch mod, and allow the cab to operate as manufactured, so it lasts longer. Also, the older cabs need to be left on for the day, once power cycled. Don't repeatedly power cycle them throughout the day. As these don't do graceful cycling, alexa can be allowed to control them. I've also got to order a volume attenuator, as mine is a lot too loud. LOL But I love it! Finally! Thanks for the review. :)
499 at BB. I bought it today. This is my favorite A1U thus far. Wish we could pause, and volume is too high even on one bar but otherwise a beautiful piece of nostalgia.👍🏻
@@TheCornerCade yep, the time crisis one looks nice. Point blank is such a classic played it for countless hours on PS1, although I'll admit point blank 2 was slightly better And subscribed.
Hello, I just picked up one of these and I'm wondering if I need to upgrade the joystick. Are you using the factory joystick? Do you find it to be adequate for these games? Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.
@@thepuzzledmagician I would upgrade all of the buttons to industrial Lorenzo buttons with cherry micro switches 100% we’ve done all of that to all of our arcades the joystick isn’t that bad. We are currently using the stock one. I hope that helps! LETS GO!
You already have Ms. Pac-Man and you got that delux cab too? The reason why I didn't buy the delux was because I already have Pac-Man 40th. I just couldn't see it as a necessary upgrade.
@TheCornerCade I used to be able to sell my A1Up cabs for 75% of the new price. The problem is these things don't hold value anymore like they did just a few years ago. We seen Simpsons & T2 go all the way from $699 down to $299, and then back up to $699 again. The market is just too unstable now to try and sell these things used anymore, so I am VERY careful what I get from A1Up now. It has to be something that I know I will keep 100% and at a reasonable price.
Screen quality isn't great. Blacks are washed out gray, but that's expected of an LCD panel. If there were an OLED display that could be dropped in to replace the LCD, I would consider it.
@@TheCornerCade Yes. In fact, look at the "black" in Ms. Pacman vs. the black of the surrounding bezel. An OLED display would be as inky black as the bezel itself.
kick plate looks miles better plain mate :) without all the trade marketing 1up sh1t on the front! !!! I like this new design cabinet as you could easily mod it with a 15khz CRT and a real coin door/mech. Not into 1up as they normally look like kids toys! not sure why they don't still use T-Molding on the edges of the cabinets !!!! Especially on the deluxe models lol !!!! it's just cheap and lazy.
Thank you for the feedback! Definitely looks better IMO. There’s a lot of times I question Arcade1Up I am glad that they make arcades tho so I can live my childhood again haha.
@@TheCornerCade don't worry in my country they have only every brought out about 3 cabinets and i don't recon these will be here any time soon. shame really as i have a router, t-molding a few spare tri-sync crts, loads of sanwa parts for control panel etc. For now i'll just stick to my misTer FPGA with multisystem board and 15khz 25" CRT. Coin mechs/ doors are normally cheap don't know why they put on fake ones
@@TheCornerCadeNo it has a four gate! I’ve looked! All sticks are 8 ways, it has to do with the gate. So this functions as the original four way gate dud!
Just saw this! Yes it’s stable without the riser. Only complaint would be that I put our power strips in the risers to have excellent cord concealment. So that will be an adjustment to get used to without the risers!
OctoMan has done the "real" functioning coindoor mod I haven't seen since my RaspberryPi modding days - I think these Deluxe cabs really will go well with a quarter munching function. ua-cam.com/video/iUfobeG_-BM/v-deo.html

Thank you for the heads up!
I just got the mortal kombat deluxe cab but deciding on making this one my second
Both are really good options! 👊🏼
I love how you flipped the kick plate. Will be doing that to mine.
Thank you! 👊🏼
The flipped over black kickplate and the black joystick looks really good I think on that machine. 👍
Thank buddy! Yeah I think it really made the machine a lot better. I don’t normally mod them but the kick plate way really busy.
Will wait for heavy discounts later this year.
I love it. This is for sure my next arcade 1 up.
Totally worth the money! 👊🏼

I like this cab! Love mine!
Very underrated love the game lineup, wish it had more games!
I'll pick this up as soon as I sell my 4 game Ms. Pac-Man. Loving the recessed monitor.
Yes it’s such a game changer the form factor makes this cabinet truly great!
clean looking cab, and room buddy!
Thanks man! Have you gotten any new cabs recently?
Let's go! 👍
Yeah buddy!
This will be my first ever Arcade cabnit
Have to wait till October 31st when it releases via EB games in Australia
Dude let’s go! Thats gonna be exciting! 👊🏼

Shouldn’t those machines go through a shutdown cycle!? Alexa just shuts it off. Potential problems
We’ve been doing it for about 2 years now no issues yet! Fingers crossed 👊🏼
I have a question, like in the Pac-Man legacy cab you put the ms Pac-Man on fast speed?
Yeah it’s way better on fast speed.

In person the blacks are black and there is zero wash! I think you’re thinking of the legacy?
Where’s the art work by the molded coin door…..
We just flipped the kick plate around.
