IFTTT is If This Then That, it's a platform that lets you basically make stuff happen based on other stuff, say you want to make your smart lights flash if you get an email, and more
OK, so the Retro part aside. You can buy a small screen that plugs right into your computer that will do the same thing for less money, and if you get tired of the larger "pixel" size, you could change it up. I'm also really tired of the things requiring us to create an account to do anything. I should be able to do things without logging into some third party. What happens when that third party goes out of business next week?
I have seen e-ink screen projects that do this sort of thing (obviously no colours, or very few). But not having a third party sign-in to worry about it way better.
Very true. There's some novelty in having something like that away from a computer. $299 novelty, though? Not for me, but I can see youtube and twitch creators liking it.
I got the one that looks like a retro computer. I use it basically as a clock but it's a pretty good portable speaker. It gets a little creepy when the time changes for no reason and then the app says you have updates. But for the most part, this thing is pretty pimp.
boi i wasn't so hyped in the beginning but after the end i'm like: that looks cool! too much expensive for me but it should be useful to have it around.
@SMOOREZ - Maybe.... Just Maybe... A Pixoo-64 Ver 2.0 might have connectors on all 4 sides (whith a slide lock type system) so that multiple units can be 'Clicked' together to make bigger and bigger screens??? 🤔 Just a thought... (maybe, as you're in contact with them, it's an idea you could pass on to them?) 🤔😏😏😏😏😎🇬🇧 Just thought, you could end up with a 120" (or bigger) 8/64/whatever bit low res TV/Monitor? Hahahaha 😂😂
I know that its not about video, but how is your galaxy flip and fold? I was thinking about getting one of them, but most of reviews are lame and cover just standard usage and specs, but I was wonder how it withstand all that time of usage. I got few opinions of users but its really mix bag and your opinion would be nice addition to my choose if its good idea to get it or not.
So it is basically a very low end tablet with incredibly low resolution? But it has an app so that's ok. I don't get it. Maybe this would have been cool in 2000 but I think in 2021 this is going backwards.
It is more like one of those LED billboards/signs you'd see on some buildings, it is NOT an LCD screen, it uses a lot of individual LEDs instead, with diffusers
@@PancakeSparkle Still. An ultra low res panel...but it has an app. Don't get the appeal but at least in a year I can get a super cheap chinese knock-off if I want to try it out then.
@@Enjoymentboy Technically you're right. It's a niche thing. I think people on kickstarter only paid like $120 for it, and that's more sensible for a wall "art" type thing. But the $300 they're charging for it now is nuts.
Sweet! But will it display a "Welcome" message when powered on and have a 1.5 petabyte memory? :P
Nice, you've got a better memory than a welcome device! 😉

I find your videos very relaxing and somewhat therapeutic. I watch almost all your videos from beginning to end!
This is so freaking cool, definitely goes on the "whenever I'll have the budget for it" list

It looks nice and thin compared to the HUB75 modules, but this really just sells me on my plan to get a nice hub75 module....

Its nice knowing I’m not the only one who rambles about things i find fascinating
You know you’ve done something good when even the cardboard box it ships in makes me go “AWWWWWW”
Love that you watch Techmoan too! Goes so well with you and Dankpods. Thanx buddy, greetz from Amsterdam. 💗
You on a roll! :D so much videos! Amazing.
Their backpacks look amazing
5:50 KDA means Kill Death Assist
Very cool Smoorez suits your decor great & love TechMoan too
13:52 is that Motorola Nexus 6 in that pile of phones?
KDA is kill death assist on most of the competitive shooters.
Hes having so much fun with it lol

That's not shipping damage, you should confess, you tried to fit it in frame!

Don't be sorry for all the dust. If anything you need more! I'll get a brush and send you some off of my desk to add to your collection lol ;)

You obviously haven’t played with home automation yet. IFTTT means if then then that. Thanks for another great episode. 👍🏻👍🏻
Oh it's the company that makes the cute little alarm clock in the shape of a computer

13:40 holy SHITE i thought my nugget collection was large
The screen looks like old plasma tv
Yep. That is surely a thing that does stuff.
That packaging is clean
Kda is Kills, deaths, assist
odd to see you use a phone for over 300000 isk
16:03 Bili Bili is like chinese youtube, it's made by china for china type of thing.
Isn't this literally just running android? You can do the same with aaany tablet.
I love your video style. Grab a cuppa and get comfortable
Ngl now it'd be especially useful if it can show dislike counts of videos
thats so cool
It would be waaaaay cooler and more creative, if you built that YT-Statistics-Display with a Raspberry Pi or even an Arduino! ;)
Wow ✅
Woahhhh
Need more cat videos. 😂😂
An old tablet can do better for way cheaper.
