Dr. Andersen, I still remember watching your video lecture series on AP Biology from my junior year in high school. Four years later I'm in college taking a very challenging course in soil sciences, and I managed to find this video where you clearly and concisely reviewed many of the major topics in the course. I just want to thank you for all of your efforts to support open source education, and for being such a good teacher. Thanks, -Mike
It was not helpful, it was very helpful. My professor explained me this in the class but I didn't understand anything but you made it so simple and easy.
Can you please make a video about Crop science and soil science please..I am taking up agroforestry and your videos will be more helpful for my future reference, your teaching is very clear, well explained😇 Philippines
This is fantastic! I've been learning more about gardening, and this is a great source of information for me to do more research and do some soil experiments. Thank you!
That was really interesting and very well presented. I'm a Biology student and I've just stumbled upon your channel and I know I will come back again. Thank you very much.
Does frost action of the soil help plant roots grow? My thought is that as the soil raises and breaks apart it might leave the soil loose for roots to take advantage
that was really awesome. about ground salinity - i learned from permaculture videos that the presence of high organic materials in the ground can encourage mycelium which covers the salt in a waxy substance, making it innert. is it true?
I disagree with your statement that soil is a non- renewable resource. You may be using a different definition than I would use, or maybe explaining a different method, but I know that soil can be created. I do like the presentation though, easy to understand. Agriculture is an antiquated process, and there are cheaper and easier ways to grow more food than we do now. I'm not talking about hydroponics, because that is compounding major problems with an antiquated method. Micromanaging is too tedious. I know a much simpler way....
Is it about soil or is it about dirt ? For me soil is about the food web, the biology... with regard to podiatry why not talk about biochar ? I see this presentation as an old fashion compilation of academic teaching.

Was importnat and interesting to see how clay is formed. thanks
Thank you for sharing🙂
Having a soil science test coming up and this was a good start to refreshing the necessary knowledge, thank you!
Thank you so so much , impressive presentation , God bless you
Great video. I always wondered what clay was and now I know. You answered a bunch of questions for me. Thank you.
Fantastic explanation of soil dynamics. Visuals are great as well. Thank you very much!

Can you do a series on soils science as a whole??
love your clear explanation of so many topics. Where can I get a copy of the flow chart?
perfect video
Thank you sir, from India
soil and rock relationships are interesting. Deluge can create rock types out of rocks and chemicals, which in turn can break down to soil.
Well done.
That was really awesome thanks
Thank you it was really useful
Very helpful for soil science students😀
My man, prof. Bozeman saving my ass once again.
Hello experts and scholars alike, apart from the beach where can her naturally find sand?

Fantastic. I see no new videos recently. That's a pity as you're tutorials are excellent.
I love parent rocks.
Thanks so much!!
Thank you for this, it helped me a lot :)
Do plant roots really "push salts down"..?
If the parent rock is continuous, it is not a 'C' horizon. It is an 'R'.
This dude shortcutted my professor's presentation.
Yes
