Nice work Martyn, you are always the first to look for when I am searching for answers, great knowledge, and explanations! Thank you very much and hope you keep it up!
Please consider researching the John Ehlers MESA indicator, incorporating his MAMA and FAMA adaptive MAs. Reasons: 1) Ehlers is a smart and original trader with a mathematical background in electrical engineering, and claims he has used this indicator to create robust systems 2) It uses proven concepts from signal processing to dampen noise and reveal the underlying market structure 3) It follows trends pretty effectively without whipsawing 4) At the end of trends it transitions to indicating ranging without much lag. Definitely one of the more interesting options out there!
Many thanks for the suggestion! I have added it to the list for consideration after I have finished the Ichimoku indicator. Note that if I receive a lot of requests it will not be possible for me to cover all of them, and I will need to select the ones that I feel have most potential. So this was my first Darwinex video, and now I'm really looking forward to seeing this series develop. I like the methodical approach and hope to learn from it. Thanks Martyn!
Thank you Darwinex. I appreciate these series you guys put together. Looking forward to this one in particular, as I have no prior experience with the ichimoku indicator. Cheers!
I propose studying the Zig Zag indicator as a class for all similar functions. I want to investigate the peaks and valleys of the currency exchange rates in different time frames. I am looking to see whether there is some seasonality in the peaks and valleys of other currency pairs prices and which currencies might have correlated seasonalities.
Could you please do an investigation into the RSI? It is one of the most popular indicators used amongst traders so most viewers are likely to be aware of it, I would like to know whether there is any validity behind this popularity. It is a versatile indicator used by traders in many ways; that being identifying overbought/oversold conditions, spotting divergence, spotting hidden divergence, identifying breakouts etc. From my experience, the RSI gives a lot of false signals so I'd be interested in seeing the numbers behind this and whether it can actually provide an edge.

For a trend followimg system i like to see the Hull MA compared to the Kaufman AMA. They are less laggy than simple MA's. I also like to see an Ehlers Filter to filter out choppy sideways markets or an other indicator to filter out sideways markets. Thanks for your valuable videos.

The Stoch RSI is like a higher timeframe, maybe 4times higher, Stochastic for determining trend. The RSI seems to be a regular current timeframe RSI. The money flow is probably some similar to an OBV or accumulation distribution. The VWAP and momentum waves are maybe like a money flow index and current timeframe stochastic. And all that is just marketcipher B. Marketcipher A is an ema crossover strategy that would be interesting as well. Marketcipher DBSI would be interesting as well but it's impossible to know what formula they use to generate those numbers

Stochastic RSI, hence it measures outbreak and indicates the point the MR starts. In my opinion outbreak and return to mean is the only real edge that exists quite everywhere. RSI alone is good , but not good enough. Stochastic RSI might be a generic winner

Hey Martyn, thank you again for the amazing content. I would like to respond to your invitation and suggest looking at MACD divergences as potential reversal leading indicator. Especially regular ones.

@@Darwinexchange fair question. What I've been taught in the trading school was that the macd divergence is one of the few ways to look into the future compared to regular indicators which are usually based on the past. And from past experiences, when you pair it with price structure and an oscillator it does seem to be a pretty good setup on some markets and especially on higher time frames (4h+). I hope that makes sense
