- This video explains how the Tenkan-Sen and Kijun-Sen lines of the Ichimoku indicator inform trade entry and exit signals. The Ichimoku indicator provides multiple layers of intelligence about momentum, trend, support and resistance, and open/close signals. One way of describing Ichimoku is an 'all-in-one' indicator, but this episode focuses on the entry and exit signals produced from Tenkan-Sen and Kijun-Sen cross-overs.

I love this series, I trade heavily with indicators
Thanks Agbor, Martyn
Great content as always. I think one of Williams' indicators is good for investigation since it is famous like "William Alligator",...
Many thanks for the suggestion! I have added it to the list for consideration. But if you could reply to explain a little more why you think this is worthy of investigation above other people's suggestions that will help me understand your current thinking, and prioritise between the many indicators that are being requested. Many thanks once again for your suggestion so far, Martyn
goooooooood
Hello Martyn. I recently discovered your channel and I thank you for this series on indicators. Your teaching style is excellent, easy to follow, concise, and informative. Since this video covers Ichimoku, perhaps a lesson comparing Heiken Ashi charts to candlesticks explaining the pros and cons of each. Heiken Ashi , while not an indicator per se, is interesting because it can filter out some noise and make a trend easier to see. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.
Firstly thank you for the great feedback. Also, many thanks for the suggestion! I have added it to the list for consideration after I have finished the Ichimoku indicator. Note that if I receive a lot of requests, it will not be possible for me to cover all of them, and I will need to select the ones that I feel have most potential. Thanks again for contributing your suggestion, Martyn
@Darwinex Hi Martyn, i saw almost all of your valuable videos. On my Trend-following system i get very good entries with my Hull-Ma cross but it fails too much in sideways markets. I try to filter it with Aroon, ADX and Ehlers Stochastic but no acceptable results. I continue to investigate on sideways markets to improve my setup. I think it is worth spending more time on this subject and it will be valuable also for other traders.
Thanks Gascan. Another viewer has already suggested Hull-MA actually so if I select that I will be sure to also investigate potential filters to use with it. Great suggestion. Thank you!
Many thanks for the video!; I have a question: under which timeframe is it worth using this indicator?; I mean 1d, 8h, 4h, 30m; etc
Hi Esteban. This is one of the aspects I will be looking at as I move into the 'Systematic Analysis' stage. So stay tuned... Thanks, Martyn
Hi. Are we able to get that indicator
hi sir a question which is the more honest indicator since most of them are coming after price and volume many thankssssss
It's a valid question and in many ways that's exactly what I am hoping this series will answer. I will produce the facts based on rigorous analysis and analytical research. But you will then need to consider and make a decision about which would suit your purposes based on what you are attempting to achieve and the types of systems you wish to trade... Martyn
thank$$$$ sir again
Hey @Martin.. i would love to hear your thoughts on " braid filter ". Robert hill is the author of this indicator... It uses three moving averages and a braid to filter the volume...i am very much impressed by this indicator and the reason is that, it visually able to convince us for the entry exit and even volume....
Many thanks for the suggestion! I have added it to the list for consideration after I have finished the Ichimoku indicator. Note that if I receive a lot of requests, it will not be possible for me to cover all of them, and I will need to select the ones that I feel have most potential.
