Nice great footwork
Great as usual 👍🏻
Ah c'est gentil,c'est la magie de JKD 👍🤝👏
Happy New Year✨
either lefting the lead leg up or up to the right and away from the opponent coming kick, shorten the movement. since this technique is not moving but lifting a leg, the opponent kick brings him closer for a lead strike. this while the lead leg is descending.
also while lifting and descending the leg, a powerful switch kick (with a lead round kick) can be executed. this a Thai boxing kick technique.
Simplicity 👍🏾
I do think that the step back with the leg lift is more energy effcient, the goal is to enter his vinerable transition, the full step takes lots of energy, the ability to counter is key, the full step back just resets the positions.
Hello Thomas, Could you make a video about JKD against Boxing?
@Jay-yj1il
Basically keep the distance and kick below the waist since their focus is waist on up. Just like what Bruce said: "The best fighter is not a boxer, a karate or a judo man. The best fighter is someone who can adapt on any style. He kicks too good for a boxer, throws too good for a karate man and punches too good for a judo man."

Hahhaa don t think this year will be better also
If you're going to move, the whole body should move, why don't you use your elbows to increase the momentum of your legs? Before you say something like "your elbows have nothing to do with your legs" I implore you to try it for yourself, incorporate your elbow and waist rotation in your steps. Not exaggerated, but simply be aware that your elbows and waist rotating affects the movement of your legs and vice versa. You can see this easily when you sprint as fast as you can, your legs and elbows are working in unison to rotate about your spine.
@@rolandotillit2867 keep hands ready for strike or cover.
Offence and defence looking the same would relate to SIMPLICITY in JKD too. It means one is not multiplying the number of techniques beyond strict practical necessity. (Paul)
