Regarding hunting on Sunday...I have read in numerous accounts he did not call his dogs off the game. They were expected to stay on the trail or at the tree barking until he got there. Ben is considered one of the best houndsmen that ever lived and is well respected in the hound hunting community.

Thanks Alan for sharing this legendary man life.
I don't believe he was pennyless. He got no expeses but cloth and ammonitum.
He was a Christian and devoted to the outdoors. I bet he saw Bigfoots in the Mogollon rim.

Anyone who says God speaks to them is off-balance...as is killing over 600 mountain lions. This was a very depressing story of a man that should not be held up as a great man but as a butcher of God's animals. This is a shameful tale.
