After revisiting her scandals one by one, I can't view her as a good leader anymore. She's also a very2 cunning person. First she stayed loyal to UMNO even after she was sacked and then when she knows UMNO can no longer be in power and she finds out Mahathir will be teaming up with PH she goes all out to campaign for PH. After the fall of the PH government she stayed silent for a while & then still thinks her best bet is with Mahathir but right before election she changed her mind and campaigned for PH and endorsed Anwar. It's also quite funny because eventhough she doesn't like the prospect of Anwar becoming a PM back then and she supports Mahathir fully back then, she never publicly lambasted Anwar during the whole PH saga. She knew to play cautiously so that she could switch alliances to Anwar at anytime. Basically what she's doing right now is to ally with whoever she can to avoid being prosecuted. It was during her tenure as Minister of Trade and Industry (1987-1990) and Minister of International International Trade and Industry (1990-2008) that Malaysia went through great surge in foreign investment and International trade which has never been repeated since then.
Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz is one of the Best Minister the country has produced, very positive, subjective, no nonsense and very open minded, never discriminate against any nationalities or races, always looking at the big picture etc. She is the only Minister that work together with David Marshall who is a Jew in Copenhegan when some of her country leaders are anti Jew. Despite what she said, which I agree to a certain extent, we mustn’t forget the reality of the majority population in Malaysia i.e. the Malays. It is the Malays that’ll make or break this country. It is the Malays, albeit some moderate thinking ones like Rafidah herself, that ‘allow’ themselves to be manipulated by the unscrupulous and exploitative politicians who exploit their race and religion and even stole from the country coffers which ironically were contributed mainly by the non-Malays. Those current Malays may not suffer now but it’ll definitely affect their young and future generations if they don’t change. Our country will be heading for doomsday unless we discard the race & religion cards. Period !

@@pilihanku9261its interesting you brought Modi and his ilk and their politics here. Modis rise to power in the last 15 years had been on the back of an ultra ethnocentric nationalist political rhetoric of which the BJP whips up repeatedly to cover incompetence and political impotence. Their speeches are rousing rhetorics of making Hinduism great again and to protect the people, the religion and ensure hindu rights is above everyone elses by changing india from being a secular country to a hindu nation. The Hindu nationalist from India love to troll their muslim countrymen that they are welcome to move to Pakistan or Bangladesh whenever the Indian muslims exercise their democratic right to express their political opinion on social media. Many of the Northern states have Chief Ministers and ministers who have 0 corporate experience, technical skills or tertiary qualification. They are products of the religious schools and they are all religious leaders. Ustad dan Ulama versi agama Hindu. They get on the political stage and talk about religion, justify their actions with religious reasons and if that fails they will claim its the muslims fault and only they, champions of Hindus can stop the muslims from converting the hindus. They spew hate, encourage division and proudly act unjustly in their policies towards the minorities while acting religious and pious. Its ironic that you mention Modi and his ilk in your sarcasm without realising that your believes and local politics that you identify with are identical to that of Modi and the Hindutva movement. Pinang dibelah dua macha. Finally, I am sure you are aware that the overwhelming majority of Malaysian Indians ancestors came from southern India, especially from states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. What you might not be aware of is the people from these states do not support Modi, BJP or the the in the elections that just ended, Modi and his party managed to win 4 seats out of hundreds from these 3 southern states. Modi doesnt even visit the south for political campaigning because the South Indians do not see anything in common with Modi, his views or his values. The muslim minorities from the south do not experience religious violence, targetted riots nor face the risk of violence and murder for consuming beef. The hindus do not tear down mosques and build a temple in the south. They dont think your god is a different god from their god. The muslims living in the South are endearingly referred to as Bhai. Most of the butchers from the South are predominantly muslims. The next time you see a Malaysian of Indian ethnicity, please remember that he or she shares the same language, culture and traditions with the people of South India. The south indians are a group of predominantly Hindus who chose their muslims and christian neighbours and community members over a Hindutva PM, his Hindutva party and a hindu nationalist political ideology. In a way you are right though. South India might still be behind in materialistic terms, but its been a rare example of genuine brotherhood among different religions for hundreds of years. Much longer than the 60 odd years Malaysia had been a multiracial country in which its still struggling to establish the concept of tolerance, let alone dream of a brotherhood of fellow Malaysians.

@@pilihanku9261 ofcause. Bro, false equivalency is the most often heard argument when people point out the similiarities between nations that subscribe to ultra ethno religious nationalist ideas. The apples are not oranges argument does not change the fact that both are fruits that grow on trees. That is part of how our minds works naturally to supress our own inner voice when we identify, subscribe to and support a group identity. Its called cognitive dissonance. We dont recognise instantly see cognitive dissonance bias in our own believes and ideas because examining our own thought process is not intuitive and goes against our nature. Without making it too long, I will give you an example of cognitive dissonance at work today. Look at the Israeli governments policies and actions towards the Palestinians. The jews who support these policies will keep justifying their actions by saying but look at what Hamas did, look at what Hamas is doing. They will deny that Israel is an apartheid state on account of the similiarities between their actions and what happened in apartheid South Africa back than. They will say that the comparision is between an apple and an orange. We are not an apartheid state because white south africa was not being attacked by the blacks unlike us who are facing constant terrorist threat and attacks. That argument is not to convince the world of the nature of the cureent Israeli policies. Its to reaffirm the group identity of the Israelis who support it. Without constantly feeding our cognitive dissonance, individuals in a group will start questioning what they are supporting and how it compares to what is right and wrong. At the end of the day there can be different factors of causation. That doesnt change facts or truth. A thief is still a thief regardless of the reasons that led to his actions being hunger or greed.
True nothing can be done. Kenapa perlu meneruskan penyiksaan yang tidak dipaksa? Kenapa perlu berkorban untuk Tanah Melayu? Tentu sekali akan membunuh secara psyschology. Tepat sekali kenapa perlu hidup dengan kebodohan? Sedangkan India kini modern and Hindu democracy..kenapa hidup dalam kebodohan.

Like I said, she is a very cunning person.

The country attracted a large number of Foreign investments when she was a Minister of International Trade and Industry.

Period !

Well India seems more attractive with the extremist Hindus Modi changing the citizenships law. nudge nudge..People of Indian Origin welcome home. PIO.
@@theallseeingeye9388 bhai..you are not comparing apple to apple..all are Indians in the Indian continent. Here in the Malay States social problem are Indians hindus, muslims,Christians,Buddhist etc having dual loyalties. You read in the papers Indians stranded after visiting father in India/grandmother/ etc stories begging to come back to the Malay States because of virus? Indians in India believing in different religions cannot compare to multi racial/multi religions Malay States. So Malay States is just a better place to live. Millions poor/not so poor Indians want to live in the Malay States. But this is a small country. So reverse migration is definitely a good social solution.
