Hello Mr.Peterson thanks for your video,i was wandering what can get damaged if i hook up a 48DC volt forklift battery charger thatwas wired for 240volt 3ph to a panl that has 480 volt 3ph because i hooked one like that and i got a loud pop noise and smelled like burnet you think we can repair that charger?if you can comment some avice i would graetly appreciate it.
If you connect a newer high frequency charger that is set up for 208V or 240V 3ph to 480V 3ph A/C, it will burn up the power supply board. Most newer HF chargers can not be changed from 208, 240 or 480V. They have to be ordered for the specific A/C input.
If you ask a question on "How to hook up the wires", please call a local electrician. Save yourself a hassle of burning the unit or even worse hurting yourself!!!

How do you take it off opportunity charge and switch to standard?
