I pulled the transformer out of the one of the Fork Lift Chargers I picked up on Friday. Coppah to be had !! #transformer #copper #scrapping #scrap yard
That dark copper looks like it has worked hard over the years, but oh it's lovely!! Good one Mac, I watched this earlier on the TV with my daughter but forgot to comment 🙈
Hi my awesome friend how’s tricks today I’m sorry I’m a bit late but I will always come and watch and hit your like button it was amazing to seeing you with our family on Sunday night seems a lot of copper there cruiser I wouldn’t have a clue if I was breaking this item merry Christmas to you and your family and a happy new year thanks again for your friendship 👍
Yes if you ever have the change grab it! Usually anything related to battery charging has a nice heavy transformer in it. That UPS I took apart was not that big but there was still 6 pounds of copper in the transformer.
Not a bad guess there Mac, I sensed a little frustration towards the end. Oh. And it goes without saying I would have kept the 4 long bolts, may come in handy sometime
Haha, yes but I was happy again once the scale came out Ian ! It is a constant struggle between things that might come in handy and finding a place to store things that might come in handy !
So much potential material inside there! Gotta scrap it all! Personally I'd take a HDR photo, printing it on an internal fake door to fool people. Have a special lock and use it as a safe while the internals are taken out. This'll be in the corner of course. This safe will be to hold memorabilia, not money
27lbs? Not bad at all my friend👍👍. I have a 3phase transformer (I believe it weights 400+lbs) but I think that I'm it's gonna be a pain in the a.. because of the size. I will make a video soon😁. Nice video my friend👍👍
Is the $3.50/lb Canadian $$? I used to scrap television xformers many years ago, I'd burn them with diesel and tediously pick apart that core. A bandsaw like you have was too much a luxury. I think I got about $0.35/lb back then, but it went further (gas was about $0.35/gallon).
You know because of these scrapping videos nobody is leaving stuff on the curb so people not so nice people are breaking into places and equipment to steel copper. Put that in your pipe and smoke it!
It’s hard work, but you won !
I prevailed ! Thanks for stopping by !

Hi Everyday Sollers, it has a varnish on the copper as an insulator. Thanks for watching, I really appreciate it !
Thumbs Up
Thanks so much !

Those fuses are really cool, I have a very large one along with many other odd ones. What a great scrap, I wish I could come across one of these.
