If I had to pick just one, it's having your clothes tailored to fit right. Also, getting familiar with wearing proper trousers as in: other than jeans/sweatpants/joggers...
Excellent tips! I can’t stress enough the tip on tailoring your clothes, self-grooming, and keeping a clean home. Semi-related, I’d add keeping up with or changing your physical health. While a gym membership might be steep for some, a decent diet, running, and at home exercise are manageable. This also helps to not fluctuate between sizes but is advantageous to overall better health.
Good advice.....all of my suits are off the rack..tailoring 4 me is free...why??? The tailor says i treat him and his assistant with great respect...good manners can open many doors...enjoy your week...CHEERS!!!!!
Luke I loved your dialogue delivery and way of presenting things also suggestions on going vintage and not unnecessarily endorsing something that might not work. Just subscribed! I see those 100 k subs coming soon, keep up the good work, cheers from Prague!
Hey Luke, I had unsubscribed from your channel a while ago because, even though I liked your style and persona, I didn't find in the content of your video what I was looking for. I recently came across your channel once again and I am glad of the new content you are putting out. Surprised to see you haven't put on more subscribers in the meantime seeing how incredible your content is. Wish you the best, thx for eveything.
top stuff! i’d love to see a vid on bags, as i still feel like a schoolboy with a backpack. it’s always the thing that lets a good outfit down. any brands or tips to upgrade that area? (desperately need to find a replacement for that viral uniqlo crossbody 🥴)
Man! I'm stuck on trainers! Nike jordan lows have been my go-to for years, but I'm almost 30.. I go to Nordstrom to look at loafers and just can't see myself pulling it off in the rainy, muddy PNW, where athleisure or farmwear is common(I know those are opposites, but Seattle area is weird). Any good in-betweens you recommend? I live in a bit more of a rural enviroment with less paved sidewalks, streets, and general public transportation. Really enjoying your channel, and have a strong desire to tear off my trainers and graphic tees!
Luke, on your trainers comment, could you please do a video concerning trainers and what styles and with what etc. again relating wear for a mature mid-thirties +
Good video - this is great knowledge as a base but as you get the base - don’t forget to have elements of fun re splashes of colour etc. Re watches - Tissot fantastic for smart watches under £700 or Baltic and Christopher Ward for under £1,000.
Finding a good alterations tailor is crucial. I drop mine a small gift at Christmas to thank him because he makes me look better than I am. Clothes and shoes that fit properly are comfortable, they shouldn’t interfere with your day. Choose natural fabrics over artificial. Go for timeless items over fashion. Find cuts that suit you - not the male models on the ads. Coordinate colours, textures and tones with each other, the seasons and what looks good on you. Accessorise with elegance and thought. Plenty of videos about this. Sensible long lasting kit like a decent umbrella and a business type bag or case to go with your outfit when needed, buy once and buy right. Sportswear for sports & leisure only. Don’t try and make a statement, you’re leaving those years behind if you’re following channels like these. Be subtle, embrace the je ne sais quoi. Good shoes and a good bed because if you’re not in one you’re in the other. They should be paying you if there’s a logo on your clothes, not the other way around. Good manners, be discreet, be polite. It works. Good luck!
I wouldn’t say they should always be avoided but if someone is looking to move to a more mature wardrobe specifically as a goal, removing pastels can be really effective
@LukeHodges Meh, not sure i would say pastels are immature. They are perfect accents to spring colors. I would agree they should not be the foundation though.

if ypu're in shape most clothes will just look better on you
@@michaelbishop9157 Tailoring still plays a huge role though. Even if you're in shape it makes a big difference.
I do agree and generally have most clothes tailored. @@JohnnyJoker-s9d
Great glasses. Would love to hear your recommendations for eye wear
Thanks Jo! I’ll try and put one together soon

Thank you mate, I really appreciate it. 🤞🏻 you’re right!
Looking sharp Luke - both the lighting and camera and the look, bit of a 1960s Michael Caine feel. Great content as ever.
Cheers Dan, I’ll take that haha

Loake are really well made and you can find some geat deals preowned!

Do you offer a style consultation. I need a total reboot.

what brand and model number is your eyeglasses?
Cutler & Gross m0772v2 👍🏻
I am turning 34 need to change my dressing now. Its high time.
🙌🏻 You won’t regret it
Ross, Marshals or Nordstrom's Rack in the USA are great options for young guys.
Thanks for the recommendations!
M&S Autograph, good clothes on a budget.
Do you have any recommendations for brown chukka boots?
Can strongly recommend the loake brown suede or grain leather in oxblood
Loakes are a great choice. If you need a less expensive alternative John White westfield suede chukka boots are very nice.
Doing 10 push ups a day makes you look & feel better & your clothes fit better. Look sharp, think sharp, be sharp!!
🙌🏻
Where are your glasses from Luke?
They’re from Cutler & Gross

My 2 cents
1...wearing a pocket square
2...a hat
3...peace
Tailoring…step 1.
I dont agree with avoiding pastels. There great for spring and summer

Last tip - get a suit. Shows a man near a brown couch WITHOUT a suit on.
it's suit adjacent ..
