The scenery was great in all of the countries I have visited, but it's the people I met along the way that I will remember the most! Well if you missed something to tell in my mind. it is The story of Holger danske. a stone statue said to come to life and defend Denmark in times of need and suffering. a great viking worrier statue
LiquidBlackWolf Yes, I'm surprised he spent so much of the episode on Aero. It looks nice and it seems he harbors a special affection for it, but as an American who recently visited Denmark for 10 days (and saw just about everything) there were several things that I think could have warranted inclusion instead of lingering there so long. Namely, Kronborg Castle (with Holger Danske and the Hamlet connection), Egeskov Castle on Funen, Ribe (and the Wadden Sea), the Jelling Stones/mounds, Aalborg (Linholm Hoje is a better Viking cemetery than the one he showed), and Skagen. Or maybe this means a third episode on Denmark is called for! (I'd recommend doing Ribe when the International Viking Market is running, as that would make for some great shots). As an aside, I also found it interesting that he chose to go to Aros Museum in Aarhus even *BEFORE* the Rainbow Panorama was installed (which is really its biggest draw now). I would definitely be inclined to "update" the Aros part of this episode (if they ever do such retroactive editing) with a blurb on the Rainbow Panorama (and I'm not sure The Horse Sacrifice is there anymore, so maybe they could be swapped...) Frankly, a fourth episode on Denmark is probably warranted too. Namely a second episode on Copenhagen. I was surprised at some of the things he left out in Copenhagen too: Amalienborg Palace (was really surprised at this omission; though I noticed the "out-take" there at the end), the Kongens Nytorv, the Marmorkirken, the Rundetaarn, the Assistens cemetery, the Designmuseum and State Art Museum (he should mention Eckersberg in addition to Kobke!), the Dyrehaven and Gruntvig's Kirke to the north, and maybe even the Louisiana Museum and Den Bla Planet are worth mentioning in a follow-up episode on Copenhagen. (A quick shot *inside* the Radhus main hall would have been nice too, maybe a blurb about Jens Olsens world-clock).
+Mark Kendall If you were in Denmark for only 10 days, you did not see just about everything. Sorry to break it to you. :P There's plenty for you to discover still! Sometimes the least spectacular things are even the most spectacular. :D Did you see Møns Klint, though?
I can understand why he chose to stay on Aero/Aeroe/Ærø for so long. I'm danish (and half greenlandic, by the way) and have seen many places in Denmark, felt the atmosphere every place, and there's many wonderful spots. But there IS something very special going on on Aeroe. a deep feeling of peace, almost unconscious...a calmness...and I HAD to move to this Island to live here, and have finally found peace in my soul and life
i envy people from europe esp denmark,sweden,netherlands..they literally live their life to the fullest.living with happiness and contentment.and the views thats to die for..i will do everything to live here.our lif here in the phils is an everyday struggle and span life is very short lots of diseases due to life stress..lucky for you guys...
+earlvin its not luck, its just the right and natural way to have evolved our society, America is a fairly young country whereas Denmark is at least a 1000 years old, maybe in 500ish years you will have figured it out ;-) i wish you all the best, peace!
+earlvin uy Yes, it might seem like a fairytale land in this video...the scenery you see in this video are filmed during the 3 month long summer, the remaining 9 months are darkness, snow, rain, wind and naked fields...Long winters make people depressed and the alcohol consumption skyrockets...Be happy with what you have, the grass is always greener on the other side...Denmark are also one of the most expensive countries in the world to live in.
@@Alkomp75 Hi there :) If you are going to go across the internet and spread facts around about data then you need to learn to understand that data. Do you know why the use of antidepressants is high? Because our healthcare is "free". It costs nothing to see a doctor and getting a prescription if you need help is both easy and very affordable. We don't hide our mental health issues because we have the means of treating them. Unlike america for example where people avoid treating their health issues because the cost of medication is so high. Also Denmark is one the most advanced countries in the world when it comes to registering data. We track everything. This is also why our covid data is some of the most trusted sources in the world. Also we use antidepressants to treat anxiety instead of benzodiazepines, because it is less addictive. So I would suggest you learn why data is different in different countries :) It's almost a science in itself. And we are proud of how seriously we take it.
I like Denmark..I love everything that is Denmark..I love everything that is Denmark, although I have never been to Denmark, but I like everything in your video..And I hope that one day I hope to have the opportunity to go there. Denmark is the country that I dream of. thank you so much
+Anshuman Tripathy You should take a roadtrip since Denmark issent that big! Start in Ribe (Denmarks oldest city) And drive up to Skagen, where some famous Danish painters painted thier paintings (Of course visiting any exciting cities on the way) And Drive to Aarhus, which in my opinion is the best city of Denmark! *cough* totally doesent live there* cough* and make your way to Fyn and Sjælland! :D If you plan it right you could get alot out of a week. Just remember to pack raincoats, because Danish summers get wet! :D
Yup, definitely. The other seasons suck, we can be lucky with nice weather in spring, but it's still cold. But fall and winter are grey, rainy, cold and boring. Summer is definitely the best season in Denmark by far.
Welther47 actually not bull.. im danish, and all my life theres only been actual snow for a couple of days in the winter.. definitely better to visit in the spring/summer..
Being born there, and moved at 21 to Canada, not a day goes by where I’m not homesick 😪 so proud of where I’m from, and wish I could move back home! To me it’s the most beautiful country in the world. 🥰
Also the entire west coast of Jutland with it's huge beaches, German WWII bunkers and related museums etc. Jelling with its viking history, the Jelling Stones, and their new fancy museum which is awesome. Silkeborg region could also be interesting I think, and maybe the Dybbøl area down south with its historical significance to Denmark.
Denmark has a wonderful beautiful Royal Family. They make Denmark Proud.Down to earth CPFrederik and CP Mary show so much love for one another. They have 4 lovely children.I would love to go to Denmark!

Denmark is a beautiful place for tourist. connect with Sweden. Beautiful architecture in all cities. This place is amazing for visiting. We can know about Denmark tradition.
Find it a little amusing that only H.C. Andersen was mentioned for Odense, considering it's one of the oldest cities in Denmark (dates back to the Viking age), hosts Europe's best zoo according to EAZA, and has a living, functional Reenactment village from the middle ages. And of course, in Aarhus, the Art Museum's impressive rainbow panorama.
+Cinderbloom Of course there's more to show about all of Denmark but it's a short video so he obviously had to cut out a lot of potential sights. Just look at Jutland.. He only visited Aarhus. He could have gone to Aalborg, Viborg, Silkeborg area (for the beauty), the west coast fishing towns, the bunkers along the sea, Råbjerg Mile (basically a moving desert), Skagen and so on and so on. These videos are way too short to go into great detail about every little region of the countries though so I think he did a good job. It's nice to see something about Denmark that isn't just "Come to Copenhagen and think you've now seen Denmark." :P

I feel sad cause no one really looks at Esbjerg
@Cicero Progontus Because Aarhus is better. Isn't it obvious? :)

What a beautiful gorgeous dog!😘🐕😘
Truly it's beautiful, how's the beautiful country of Denmark like Haley?
this is like heaven on earth...
Demark is my dream vacation spot since I was a kid.
I'm from Denmark!
I'm Danish and i can tell you that it normaly
rains constantly
MetalSubYT you're right. It is unseasonably rainy in the video!
But i can be good weather, it dosent always rain.
FrenchFriedLegion
Weird that it wasent raining in this video
Denmark is absolutely great! Size does not matter, but opinion!
I know this video is almost 10 years old by now, but I just wanted to thank you for honoring my country like this.
So clean! Look at the roads , love it!!
I don't understand? It's just roads? Please explain, I'm from Denmark
We have cleaning staff sweeping our roads, from time to time, and many bins to use along our roads, streets and pavements...but we DO have people being pigs and leaving their garbage everywhere too, sigh!
16:30 Those buildings look like half-timbered "Caribbean" houses for their colors 😅. I wouldn't expect that in Scandinavia, but I think I don't know enough about Scandinavia. Perhaps it's time to visit it again. I went to Denmark in 2008, but Copenhagen only. I'd love to go back.
I really hope to visit the beautiful country of Denmark soon, you made me a believer of kind people in this country.
The only one stopping you, is you :)
And you are most welcome.
What’s keeping you ??? Do come and I will gladly show more than just the tourist traps !!!
Thanks!
Lovely initiative
U literally filled out the void that was missing out of a child’s life!
Denmark always looks best in the summer ;)
+vanefreja86 - Well lets be honest. Winters are right out depressing in DK. ;)
Jep :)
vanefreja86 I came to denmark in marsh it was not perfect during this month specially the northern region of Denmark like / hjorring and skagen and hirtshals but I really lived it it's so amazing places and the people are lovely and friendly, unfortunately my visa finished while the the spring began and th weather gets beautiful

Cophagen A City of great. Variety Churches museum and waterfronts.
You are a very beautiful woman with a beautiful smile, I wish you all the best this year, how is the weather there now?
Denmark is so beautiful, I was there in 2013 by late spring and early summer, what a mesmerizing land. Full of color, great architecture, very clean and organized AND people are quite hot lol
It´s a bit expensive but it´s totally worth it, fully recommended :)
Bjornt long time ago but if you ever wanna revisits... I’ll bet I can make it cheaper for you and still make it enjoyable... shhh 🤫 avoid the tourist traps !!!
Spectacular & peaceful country.
Enriched in greenery, hills, trees plants
Looks so peaceful.
It is :)
Enjoyed this so much..Loved the history of Denmark.
Well if you missed something to tell in my mind. it is The story of Holger danske. a stone statue said to come to life and defend Denmark in times of need and suffering. a great viking worrier statue
LiquidBlackWolf He also missed the northern part of jylland (Aalborg, Skagen, Blokhus osv.)
I would definitely be inclined to "update" the Aros part of this episode (if they ever do such retroactive editing) with a blurb on the Rainbow Panorama (and I'm not sure The Horse Sacrifice is there anymore, so maybe they could be swapped...)
Frankly, a fourth episode on Denmark is probably warranted too.
Did you see Møns Klint, though?
I can understand why he chose to stay on Aero/Aeroe/Ærø for so long. I'm danish (and half greenlandic, by the way) and have seen many places in Denmark, felt the atmosphere every place, and there's many wonderful spots. But there IS something very special going on on Aeroe. a deep feeling of peace, almost unconscious...a calmness...and I HAD to move to this Island to live here, and have finally found peace in my soul and life
@@kunstnersjael Ærø is and will always be the calmest spot in Denmark. Except for tourist season...
Muito obrigado por postar esse lindo vídeo. E que povo bonito. 😍
Hallo
i envy people from europe esp denmark,sweden,netherlands..they literally live their life to the fullest.living with happiness and contentment.and the views thats to die for..i will do everything to live here.our lif here in the phils is an everyday struggle and span life is very short lots of diseases due to life stress..lucky for you guys...
+SmokinBuda thanks to global warming we have 5 months now :)
Buda so true!!! Denmark is very boring not many things happen, small towns and not much room. but its safe
Tangi! Kaw lng di lucky tumira dito sa Pinas dahil ako very satisfied luckily dito ako nakatira and Am enjoying my life living here.
Nature at it's best!!! This is the life!!! Not too much rush at all hardly any pollution!!! Everything thing slow pace
Denmark looks happy. Life in East Asia is busy.
truth is , Denmark is one of the countries that consumes most antidepressants annually
@@Alkomp75
Hi there :) If you are going to go across the internet and spread facts around about data then you need to learn to understand that data.
Denmark is one of the most beautiful country in the world, apart from its organized people. God blesses this nation.
It was but now it’s getting watering down like a cheap drink.... due to immigration and poorly protecting laws.... sorry to say
I like Denmark..I love everything that is Denmark..I love everything that is Denmark, although I have never been to Denmark, but I like everything in your video..And I hope that one day I hope to have the opportunity to go there. Denmark is the country that I dream of. thank you so much
but your surname is danish?
@@MrMasteren Not necessarily. They may have descended from Scandinavian travelers. Does not mean they have a danish name.

Calm? Everyone down there suffers from stress, even the kids.

Yes thank you for not only including copenhagen. Fyn, Jylland, there all pretty lands
This is a very well produced video. I even learned new things about my home country. Well done
Looks like the best time to visit Denmark is in the summer...This looked like a Travel Book came to life
Denmark looks insanely beautiful :)
What load of bull is that! Winter is great. Especially when its snowing. Move to spain or something
Welther47
Fun you mention it since I plan on moving to Australia
Welther47 actually not bull.. im danish, and all my life theres only been actual snow for a couple of days in the winter.. definitely better to visit in the spring/summer..
Being born there, and moved at 21 to Canada, not a day goes by where I’m not homesick 😪 so proud of where I’m from, and wish I could move back home! To me it’s the most beautiful country in the world. 🥰
I love ✨Denmark ✨🇩🇰 very much 💐❤️🌈 It’s peaceful, beautiful country with many scenic places and green mountains ⛰ ....
Green mountains ? Obviously you don't know what you are talking about

A pleasure to watch all these beautiful places! 💕💕💕
There is still much more worth seeing in denmark than this: Skagen, Aalborg, Ribe, Bornholm etc.etc. But good guide and relevant places to see :)
Thanks - extremely interesting video. Enjoyed it.
Stunning country. Hopefully I will visit this beauty one day.

You haven´t actually read Hans Christian Andersen´s work, have you?
The most bleakest, darkest of all fairytales come from him...
martialme84 I mean, that explains why all the kids in that scene look confused/miserable lol

i enjoyed many of his stories as a kid.
@@nec22999 Many of his works were rewritten due to them not being suitable for todays kids. Originally the mermaid dies and turns into seafoam, thats just one of the makabre originals.
The Little Match Girl < Enough said.
@@MrMiss-cp9bw I legit cried in class when we read it in 2nd grade
Thank Rick steveS Denmark is so ❤️❤️ beautiful!!! And have such a rich history , with so much to see, I am always reading vickin storys
This vid is lovely :-D Our first vacation together was in Denmark. We traveled throughout the country, and didn't visit Copenhagen. It was lovely
