This truly was one of the most surreal and funniest USA television moments ever. It was total meta theater between the doll of Cher, Cher being perceived as a drag artist and it being Cher playing herself in a television sitcom being criticized as not being “Cher” enough in mannerisms. Surreal.

Jack was such a brilliantly written character. And played to perfection by Sean Hayes.
Jack, Karen, Beverly Leslie, and of course Rosario were the real attractions for me. Will and Grace themselves, meh. For Jewish neurosis, there's always Woody Allen. And, of course, Seinfeld.
This is how I imagine every interaction between Cher and a gay man.

Fun fact - that's legendary makeup artist Kevyn Aucoin sitting at the table behind Cher. He was there to do her makeup and they figured they may as well let him stay on set rather than keep going back and forth to touch her up for the scene. RIP. :(

Hilarious scene! My husband and I didn't realize the magic of Cher until we saw her in concert. We had 2nd or 3rd row seats and when she walked out I unexpectedly started to cry and then when she caught eyes with my husband for more than a second, he started yelling all excited "she's looking at me, she's lookin at me!". Just minutes before the show we thought it was kinda silly how these two guys behind us were so excited saying it was the best day of their entire lives and we ended up being the giddier ones!!

I know my mom took me to see her years ago when I was 12. It was her living proof/farewell tour of 2002. I went in not knowing much about her besides the song believe and the experience forever changed my life. Literally gave me the courage to come out to the world at a time when it was still very dangerous to do so.

This was THE BEST episode of Will and Grace ever! The entire episode was hilarious! The scene with Cher was the cherry on top! I laughed so hard I cried! It never gets old. Great writing and fabulous acting!
