Platypuses are elusive animals, and spotting one in the wild is a rare but rewarding experience

    Amazing scenery up that way
    Another excellent video guys
    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Please don’t forget (after each bush walk) to always do a personal check - leach & Tick body search (The rule of thumb is always do that and try never to brush up against any foliage on your walks)
The first physical sign of a Tick on your body will be loss or lack of energy
Keep up the great work guys have fun and stay safe

The scenery was so lovely, you are right!! Thanks so much for in the info, actually we haven't really been doing that - but we do try to keep away from the foliage. We will start today though, Thanks 👍

Just a quick tip… If you do happen to be bitten by a tick, don’t panic, just go and buy a bottle of metho (methylated spirits) from any Coles Woolworths or hardware store, and Open the top of the bottle, then quickly place the full bottle (without letting any of the liquid escape) straight over the top of the tick embedded in your skin… and hold it there for just over 65 seconds then take it away and re-recap the bottle.
Tick’s cannot survive without oxygen, and the methylated spirit’s will kill them within 65 seconds, thus allowing you to safely remove the tick without the tick body or sack detaching from its head
this is very important as if you just grab the tick, it’s head will stay embedded in your skin and dig in deeper, and you will only have its body or sack in your hand
But if you kill it correctly, you will be able to remove it no worries whatsoever👍🏻
      Happy and safe travels guys👍🏻

Camped inside the cavern at Natural Arch/Natural Bridge on many occasions long before the paved paths & other infrastucture was there. It is spectacular.

If you want to see platypuses in the wild then the Broken River in the Eungella National Park (pronounced young-gulla) west of Mackay is a sure fire place. (I believe you are heading up that way). Happy driving, after some well earned rest.

Loving you vlogs . Sad you didn’t see Oxley wild river national park and the Warrabungles in NSW . The big satellite dish is at Parkes NSW . Anyway , please go visit Canarvan Gorge in Queensland . It is inland and not on the coast . If I remember clearly that it is in Central Queensland . There are 3 national parks in that region , including Minerva national park . I guess you can’t see everything but hopefully you do get to visit it . Your video is excellent . Keep up the great work that you do !

Thanks so much for the kind words and suggestions. We do have a list of things that we have missed on our trip as we've realised we cant do it all and maybe one day we will be able to see them or do another lap 😂. We've just looked up Canarvan Gorge and it looks amazing, but sadly we have gone past that area, but will stick it on our 'what we have missed' list. Thanks for your support ❤️
