I loved the series with Donna because it was different. Rose was the love, Martha was the unrequited love, but Donna was the best mate to have adventures with. Less relationship drama, more drama drama. That's also why I felt that Donna really got the worst fate of the companions. She wasn't even allowed to remember the great time she had with the doctor. So I'm very glad she comes back, and with her doctor, no less. Can't wait! :D
I have been watching Doctor Who since the first episode (my mum recommended me to watch it in 1963 when I was 8 yrs old as she thought it would be educational; looking at historical events, lol!.) So now as a 68yr. old I am looking forward to the next series.
That’s wild
Congratulations!
legend! Hopefully the seemingly endless wait will be worth it!
That is really cool. I was insistently brought aboard watching for the 2005 reintroduction, but have also watched the (now known as!) Classic. My father did mention that when my brother and I were little, he watched reruns of episodes featuring the 4th doctor with us. (So perhaps liking it was imprinted upon me at a tender age!)
You got 10 years on me, I've only been watching since Jon Pertwee...
Though my daughter never became a fan , she named her Barbi doll Rose, and her best friend was and still is a diehard fan, had to have her adapose pillow for sleepovers, now they are about the same age as the narrator of this video (23±? and looks just like my daughter's friend)
Damm *_Time_* flies don't it‽
Since "The Giggle" was one of the cryptic binary clues in the previous trailers, I reckon it will be super important. I think it will be like the End of Time where the Toymaker or whoever NPH is supposed to be is trying to manipulate people into bursting into laughing fits. It should be VERY mind-warpy, if you know what I mean. 9:37- it's the Toymaker's doing.
all of the titles were hidden in binary
If it's not the toymaker, maybe he's a descendant of his seeking revenge on the Doctor. That would be cool too.
Maybe its something like the dreamlord in series 5
I am so excited that Mr. Murray Gold is back to compose the music for Doctor Who. His scores are thrilling, emotional, and fill me with tingly joy. My favorite piece is All the Strange Creatures featured in Series 3, but used as the music for my favorite Who trailer of all time for Series 4. I'm all a tingle now just thinking about it. The brilliance of Series 4 has never been duplicated. BRING ON THE 60TH!
NPH MUST be the Master. The Emporium had "Mr" in front which can mean Master as well as Mister. Also the whole dancing in chaos thing? Definitely the madness of the Master.
No he’s not
@@Bob-od9oe bring something to the conversation in you're going to disagree with someone. Your simple reply is childish.
Donna was also unaffected when the Master took over the world and made everyone into him. The doctor said then that he left her with some sort of protection.
Donna remembers the skinny man, that at least is something. Like Donna also said to Sylvia, Donna sometimes has this feeling that she had something really lovely & wonderful & now it's gone. Even if she doesn't remember the Doctor completely, for all we know, for all the Doctor knows, when Donna has been dreaming while sleeping or day dreaming, she might very well remember small snippets of what she did with the Doctor.
It just occurred to me that Donna's daughter will have part Time Lord (or whatever race the Doctor is) dna due to the meta crisis so that may signify something great for her character. The actor has certainly been indicating that there is some major importance to their role.
Wait a minute, that theory just triggered another one that I have. If she does have the meta crisis DNA, and I’m guessing that she is pretty much 13 or 14 years old considering Donna got married in either 2009 or 2010 and it’s now 2023, if she has that DNA, then something must have triggered it, and because the meta crisis is a link between the Doctor and Donna, it might be that it also triggered the Doctor to regenerate back to his tenth body, and he has to fix what went wrong, while also trying to deal with the toymaker at the same time.
I can't believe it took me reading this comment to actually think about that, it's a BRILLIANT theory and I'd love to see that played out in some way, kudos to you ❤
@@OnlineFanBoy My even crazier theory though unlikely to be true is at some point 10.5 and Rose had a child their child comes over to the "main" universe and has a child with Donna's child which becomes the Timeless Child and/or Susan making the Doctor the grandfather and also explaining TC's genetics (thats if its ever bought up again)
I love the title wild blue yonder, feels so abstract and even the title reveals literally nothing about what happens in special 2! I think it could be an episode set in the Tardis, this could be interesting as long as it’s very different from Journey to the Centre of the Tardis! :D
I agree cause the redacted scene we see looks a bit like a destroyed or changing tardis and it would make sense for the word blue. Also the last shot before the title of ep 2 show sort of looks like the console to the right hand side with Tennant on the left. Secretly hoping it is and that I think is why they are keeping it so secret cause we’ve already had tardis leaks and because they have said the set for it is a revelation . Also it might be an episode to explore why his face has come back and that cause the tardis changes with reincarnations so maybe it explores the tardis breaking down cause of his face changing to an old one, might even see some ex doctors??? Anyways a stab in the dark but that’s my guess for ep 2 for now
There was a teaser that said "this is the edge of creation" and "Edge of Destruction" was the first story to be set entirely within the TARDIS so I think that's very likely.
@@elliesteele2027 oh yeah good apot
Anyone else catch Catherine Tate's "Allons-y" at the end of Eurovision (announcing UK's jury votes)? I thought that was a pretty neat nod to doctor who!!
We were making this video so completely missed Eurovision - but that sounds awesome!
What I adore about Doctor Who is the blend of real historical events and sci fi-that create the amazing story lines. For example, Mount Vesuvius with aliens. And this trailer, makes me think of the dancing plague of 1518 in France with, you guessed it, aliens! So freakin excited to see the Doctor-Donna again. Hope we hear their Ood song.
You know why I love this? Because of the whole “I don’t believe in destiny but if destiny exists then it’s heading for Donna Noble”
He’s going to be confused and instantly intrigued as to why he’s run into a member of Donna’s family AGAIN. She’s gonna reveal that she’s Donna’s daughter (somehow, doesn’t seem like natural convo but hey ho) and the doctor will be like…. “Nah, wtf is happening now? Where’s Donna? Is she safe?” Then boom. 60th anniversary epicness.
She could reveal her last name as ‘Temple-Noble which isn’t a common surname
@@Tototoo88 very very true!!! I can’t wait.

Like Ellie mentioned, we’ll hopefully be doing a separate video breaking down the episode titles and what they could mean, so let us know your thoughts and theories!

I think the face is actually the wire, and judging how the price just became the king it would make the most sense for it to be the wire,
To me, it seems obvious from the title being identical to the original Comic Strip, that 'The Star Beast' will simply be a retelling of the comic strip story adapted to include the current characters. After all, only the most hardcore fans will know anything about this story, and for those it will be a treat to see if televised. For others, it will just be a neat story.
'The Wild Blue Yonder'? It seems to me that this episode is still being kept very close to the production office's chest. Will this be the major Donna story? I still don;t know.
As for 'The Giggle', the title seems to suggest that this will be the Celestial Toymaker story. Though what form it will take, not enough information as yet.
Personally, I just want & need Donna to be given her well earned pay-off ending. After Sarah Jane, Donna is the Doctor's best companion, though also the one who suffered & lost out the most for having travelled with our beloved Time Lord (Sorry Adric!)
One of the greatest tragedies in the series was the theft of Donna's memories. I would love for this arc to rectify that.
@@mcleigh66 indeed, criminal! She deserves to know how wonderful and marvelous she was!!!
Noticed that E.T. call back back with Beep hiding in the toys myself.
The first title obviously refers to the Beep the Meep episode, and the last to one with the Celestial Toymaker, and the second? Do we know what the second one is about or is it simply a continuation on from the first episode leading into the third? I don't have a sense of what the main plot of the middle episode is going to be.
As always, Ellie is as cute as can be. 😍 Keep giving us those good nuggets of information and extra details we need leading up to the specials! Can't wait! 😊
Russell T Davies has said he hopes to air Special Two without showing us ANY footage from it. So it seems like that’ll be the most mysterious one.
And thank you for the kind words - very exciting times for Doctor Who right now!
I think the Ood & the "Doctor Donna" are going to play a major role in these specials... but showing them this early on (even though we're all THIRSTING for details!!) is a major tell. I honestly think that the Ood will be the catalyst for all of this. Possibly even psychically influencing the Doctors regeneration choice.
Also? The happy looking Saw ventriloquist doll is FREAKING ME OUT.
Some great theories here! Thought I'd add a little something myself.
Neil Patrick Harris' still unamed (but almost certainly The Celestial Toymaker) villain controlling the human-race by getting inside everyone's head is so reminiscent of The Master. So much so that I think NPH's villain is inspired by him. Especially if he was Earth-bound at the time of The End Of Time: he would have witnessed all these faces changing around him.
Just a theory! Not sure what it means. At least one of the three specials seems like a direct sequel to both Journey's End & The End Of Time.
I doubt it is End Of Time related, since that connects directly to the 50th. It is totally a sequel to Journey's End, however.
Considering the big events the Anniversaries do, I am disappointed we are not seeing other Doctors here. It feels like it is too limited in scope considering where the show went after his era.
If it is the Celestial Toymaker, I am not liking that there are no Classic Doctors showing up to help fight him. 8 at minimum would be enough, and he faced him in Big Finish.
What if The 14th Doctor sacrifices Donna by deliberately making her remember him because he needs 'The Doctor-Donna'?
The 14th Doctor isn't the 10th Doctor, after all. Maybe he'd sacrifice Donna to save the World/Universe.
Would explain RTD's Donna teasing (his reply to that guy on Insta who said he missed Donna) + the weirdness of the clips we've seen from Special 2 ("I'm sorry, Donna").
I'm glad someone else acknowledges that Rose (not Tyler) might be Donna's daughter, but lets be sure before we just assume. When I shout at my computer, no one seems to hear me (aside from my neighbors, and they're not happy).
How do you spell "Rawrth"? (claw motion)
The dummy face looked like Jigsaw to me. I never saw any of the Saw movies, and this is not in any way related. It just reminded me.
Concerning Ncuti, the theory I've heard is that NPH is the Toymaker and he is responsible for 13 regening into 14. And defeating him is what allows 15 to emerge as he was supposed to. Seems like a pretty obvious answer, but it does make sense. We'll see.
As far as I am concerned, "spoilering" is totally a word.
Thank you to everyone who stayed up late to bring us this news. I'm posting this from yesterday (for you). It is appreciated.
Being that America where I am is 5 hours behind the uk we got the trailer late this afternoon so an American whotuber could have gotten a video out this afternoon
It’s Wrarth … (Claw movement …)
@@_MyNameIsAJ_ Which only highlight’s a comment of mine.

The trick of revealing something and actually not revealing anything at all so very had to master. RTD2’s advertisement team pull it of exceptionally well. This just really contrasts to how much promotion chibs era had for his series, having one trailer a week or two or three before the actual release date. Well done RTD2
I really hope we hear Donna'a ICONIC musical cue the first time she sees the Doctor again
Music has evolved a lot since then, but you’re right, they could bring back some of the old music. I remember, just after the twelfth Doctor regenerated, they brought back the old theme from series 1, and I was hit with a lot of nostalgia when I heard it.
The creepy doll is the one used by John Logic Baird to test the transmission of his mechanical television. I’m from the town where he was born, and we have a replica of the creepy doll head encased in glass in the town square. Also, the curving lines on the screen are how that mechanical television operated, since it used a large disc with a spiral of holes in it to create the image. Final, final fun fact: for a mechanical television of this design to show a Standard Definition image the disc would need to be as tall as a house, and the outer edge would be travelling at twice the speed of sound.
I love the trailer for the 60th anniversary episodes. It looks so cool, i can't wait for November! 😃 I think Rose will probably be Donna's daughter, a sort of half memory of Rose Tyler, and the name Rose sticks in Donna's head. And she names her Daughter Rose because of it. That's what I think anyway, RTD does like putting those little Easter eggs in. So I think it could well go that way. I'm so excited!!! Thank you Who culture for doing a break down video of the 60th trailer, it's just amped up my excitement even more. Until next time Allons-y!!!!!
At 65 , I remember the first doctor who, with William Hartnell. Regeneration, was a way of avoiding the Darrin trope. That is the reason it's lasted so long. Good, bad and catastrophic. By the way great video, good production values.
I’m just so excited to see what they do with this! RTD was a wonderful show runner and Tennent’s era was one of my favorites! Just so much fun waiting to be had!!
Early video drop at 4:45 am
The coded messages on the glitchy part of the trailer (0:14 in the trailer, 6:12 in this video) translate to "BINARY BINARY BINARY I DONT WANT TO GO" and "DOCTOR DONNA TARDIS"
It may not be directly related to Dr. Who, but the DuckTales remake from a few years back had David as Scrooge and Catherine as Magicka DeSpell. Their verbal chemistry and jousting is amazing no matter what form it's in.
The shot where you think Donna and Doctor are seeing each other again for the first time on that episode, Donna is clearly holding on to the handlebars of a wheelchair - you can also see the top of someone's hat who is sitting in said wheelchair - this is Wilfred. 😁👌
I knew you would have to do a breakdown, and I’m here for it. I wasn’t sure I could be more excited, now I am. Thanks for the lovely video. I hope you’re enjoying your weekend.
And in the words of you, “goodbye sweetie.”
Fun fact - Lady Christina's (from Planet of the Dead) back pack was from CyberDog!!!!
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but in this trailer there is an error code in one of the shots, which translates as “Binary binary binary I dont want to go” (but backwards)
Whether or not she realizes it, Donna's question, "why did this face come back?" is likely veey important in the special.
Why did 10's face come back when he regenerated into the 14th? I think the answer to that is going to be important!!
Along with all of that, like the trailers & all have been saying/implying, it has to do with "destiny."
Just like Donna in her original run on the show!
3:57 it also fits the Doctor/Donna timeline thing, he happens to be standing next to a random girl who happens to be Donnas daughter. Connections, drawing him and her together etc.
5:41 and from what I’ve heard about these guys from the comics it looks as if you’re exactly right. Beeps being transported by space police essentially, beep makes them crash, escapes in his pod, ends up in Donna’s house in a sort of ET situation where Rose is hiding him because of how cute and scared and innocent he looks and how scary, violent and dangerous the Wrarth hunting him look.
And then the plot flips to us finding out it’s actually Beep who’s incredible dangerous and the Wrarth are the ones trying to fix it.
6:06 definitely not Matt Smiths TARDIS but perhaps 14’s? As it’s the only shot of the trailer that’s glitchy and trying to hide footage
It would honestly be an interesting twist if NPH was the Celestial Toymaker. Or maybe the Meddling Monk. It's been a while since we've seen either of them
The giggle!! Is the giggle a laughing TOY!!?? As in Toymaker!?!?
Just an idea that popped up in my brain!
I’m glad to hear Ellie was alarmed by the Beep boop too. Poking something in the eye is gross. Boop the nose, not the eyeball.
Could the title Great Blue Yonder be regarding the Tardis? In any other situation big blue things would be the sea or water but the Tardis is the biggest and blues thing in Doctor Who.
I think him being next to Rose without recognizing who she is, is probably them playing homage to her grandfather. Over the many seasons how many times did he kinda/almost/simply was connected with Wilfred.
"He wouldn't know if it was Donna's daughter." The Doctor has said they like to look in on their past companions (Matt Smith's Doctor speaking with Josephine "Jo" Jones (née Grant) (Katy Manning)), so...
As always thank you so very much for the videos.
Yeah but the doctor had to stay away from Donna because if she remembered she would die, like the 14tj doctor said in the 60th anniversary trailer
@@mattjackson6600 Donna met only 10. She would not know them if they came and spoke to her. We saw how she was at the end of that episode when 10 said goodbye.
She did not recognise him.
It was only the events later in The End Of Time, that caused her issue. It is not just that the Doctor cannot have contact with her. It is the enemies and events that follow the Doctor that are the problem.
@@mattjackson6600 I know, I thought about that, but that was David Tennants Doctor, but later regenerations could've peeked in I figure.
@@grahamcann1761 that is a fair point, the 11th doctor did say he visited his companions in the SJA but we did see in the end of time she started to remember not because of the doctor himself but the events that were happening around her so maybe it’s too much of a close call, danger follows the doctor everywhere after all
Very excited about The Giggle, sounds so mysterious and it will probably be the reason why 14 regenerates into 15!
I don’t want David to go again! 😭
One theory for why Donna might be on the ship: if Rose has helped Beep (found him in the crowd and taken him home to keep him safe), maybe they could have taken Rose as well (especially if she tried to stop them from taking Beep for a second time). Donna going along to make sure her daughter was safe makes sense
I’m pretty confident that they’ll reveal that Donna is the reason Tennant returned…he has ‘unfinished business’ in the shape of curing her
Your explanation was FANTASTIC. the long wait is getting us antsy but these clips keep us interested. As always, you are so beautiful Elle!! Thank u
I have a half-baked theory: Gatwa’s Doctor is trapped in “the between” we saw in Whittaker’s last episode (I forget what it is called - the place regenerations go to, before they “cross over”.
He is there, because something went wrong with Whittaker’s regeneration. She was supposed to regenerate into him, but something went wrong, due to her degeneration, which caused the 10th-like Doctor to exist. Gatwa may well be “inside 14’s head” throughout the specials, and we get his perspective of what is going on throughout them, until he eventually comes out at the very end of the third special.
That would explain why there has been no leaks of him shooting episodes. All his work has been done somewhere isolated, in front of a green screen, so it could have been filmed almost anywhere.
Cheers,
When the Doctor and Donna reunite, I would love the music playing to have a slight motif or reprise of the song playing when they reunited in Partners in Crime. That would be sick
I'm glad David Tennant is back for these episodes, but I can't wait to see Ncuti Gatwa. I think he is a great actor and is going to be a brilliant Doctor.
I hope that in these episodes, the Doctor helps Donna so that she can remember him without dying.
Seeing DT back as the Dr is just amazing. Proper goose bumps watching the trailer
Beep is a hold over from a Doctor Who Monthly comic from several years ago, which Marvel reprinted back in the '80s and then Big Finish also did during Tom's (the Doctor) genre.
I hadn’t thought about it like this, but there is no reason to think that Donna will remember the doctor at all. The part where she recognizes him in the trailer could be a fake out. She might meet him in the street doing something crazy and then later he shows up at her house and she says, “skinny man” because she recognizes him from earlier that day. It’s worth noting that during that part of the trailer, the doctor doesn’t seem worried that she recognizes him, it’s just Silvia who’s freaking out about it
Your childhood? Tennant was doctor just a few years ago. I'm not old already.
Yeah, I felt myself die a little inside when she said the word "childhood".
14 years thats quite awhile ago now.
Rose is Donna & Shaun's daughter, Sylvia's granddaughter & Wilf's great granddaughter, so I think she's going to be very intelligent. Before anyone says 'oh but look who she was talking to & then hid at home in her wardrobe' Beep the meep was using his cute factor. Not Rose's fault at all
I reckon they're gonna play with the Doctor and Donn'a reunion the way they did with the Doctor and Rose. They'll keep missing each other until they finally, finally, meet.
Donna is interesting in this, because the end of her story with the wedding and then when she appears again, it's kinda implied that she's "The same old Donna" like she's the exact same character that got sucked up in the TARDIS and was a fortified personality but that's just a touch scatty. This Donna seems like she's not as fortified and she's more mentally spacey, which is very sad if she's been absent in all these years after.
I loved this trailer! I expect that we won't see much of ncuti in the 60th anniversary specials but I feel like we'll see a glimpse of him towards the end of the episodes and more of him continued in the christmas special. I think the trailer was short to avoid giving too much away but I expect we'll see more trailers including more of the characters nearer November. I do feel like donna may not have her memories of the doctor at first but will have them back further into the episodes. My theory also is that rose will find beep the meep and hide him amongst her things thinking she is protecting him. The episodes look amazing and I can't wait to hear murray gold's new music, so excited! 🎉❤😊
The ventriloquist doll looks a lot like the original TV broadcast by John Logie Baird “Stookie Bill’. Great breakdown - first time I’ve been excited about Doctor Who for several years. Bring on Autumn.
Stookie Bill - completely missed that, thanks for the info!
Apologies, I made the same comment several hours after you did
I think that they are playing with our expectations. We are expecting for Donna & the Doctor to spend the majority of the time working together, but they are never in a shot at the same time. Instead, what I think is going to happen is that they are going to set us up for the old Donna missing everything game, similar to how it was before she met the Doctor. When things start to get crazy, she has to leave or be somewhere else, then shows up after everything has been resolved with the Doctor just barely missing her. Then at the end, they cross paths purely by accident. Like Rose bringing the Doctor to her home and then the Doctor sees Donna's mother & Donna walks in on them mid conversation.
Harris has been involved in Musical episodes before (Remember the Music Meister in DC's Brave and Bold series? Not to mention Dr. Horrible). Part of me is wondering if this could be a similar Dr. Who villain.
Great video, Tennant was amazing. Can’t wait for this, is it November yet 😅😅
I can remember reading somewhere that RTD is keeping what happens in special 2 a surprise so I think the trailer is just from special one and three
he looks great because he is THE DOCTOR!!!
I would disagree with your point about Donna not remembering, for her to say "Why did this face come back? To say goodbye?" that would have to be a sensible thing to say. People's faces don't go away, we're generally stuck with them our entire lives. This is obviously at a stage when she remembers the Doctor, remembers regeneration, and remembers that they didn't get a goodbye.
I still think they should start this earlier, waiting is very frustrating.
I'm glad I can hear your channel to fill the void.
I'm so hyped for the return of RTD Doctor Who. Hope we get some actual dates to when the specials are airing, hopefully pne of those dates is November 23rd, but we'll see.
Great breakdown! Can't wait to see my favourite Doctor return! 👍
I'm enjoying that The BBC is pulling the taffy here on letting info slowly. Very excited for what's to come!
I hope that the 14th plays it differently than 10. I think this would be a great opportunity for Tennant to show off his acting chops.
The Toymaker was defeated by the First Doctor throwing his voice ventriloquist style, in imitation of the Toymaker. Wouldn't surprise me, if NPH is the Toymaker as rumoured, that he's turned that around to attack the Doctor. Might even be one of William Hartnell's giggles being used to drive the human race mad.
Great breakdown. Whilst the trailers are great, it’s the 60th, given that I am fully expecting we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg. Also, many of the shots could just be from the one special. Given it’s the 60th, I would be shocked if older Doctors are not involved.
Freema Agyeman (Martha Jones) neither confirmed nor denied being in it - there's a possibility we'll see her!
I can't wait for our first glimpse of Wilfred.
The ventriloquist dummy head in low-res, on the possibly UNIT HQ screens, remindes me of the fact that in early TV experiments, John Logie Baird used a dummy head not unlike that.
It also seems very similar to The Idiot's Lantern!
@@camillechauve1352 Not many years different.
Great breakdown as always, Ellie! I agree with all of your points here and you were thinking same stuff. I was thinking watching the trailer so I don’t really have much to add, but I was really looking forward to this video and you gdidn’t disappoint with it! Alon-Zee!
Donna has always been my favourite companion glad they are back together
The doll/mannequin on the video screen made we want a Doctor Who/Saw crossover episode... "Hello Donna, let's play a game..."
It does feel like these episodes might have a horror vibe. Or maybe just one of them
Love ya work guys!!
Another great Ellie video. Think the trailer was short due to the special still being a ways away. Rawrth hands are my favorite part of the video.
Love the breakdown, but why no mention of Doctor Who comic The Star Beast? Literally seems like they’re doing a tv adaptation with the added element of The Doctor and Donna
She may not of read the comic.
Beep the Meep literally looks like a giant cross between a Mogwai and a Gremlin
Star beast is a live adaptation of the 4th doctor comic of the same name. Some of the shots are the like for like in the comic and trailer.
Interesting that you didn't mention the sonic screwdriver the Doctor is using in UNIT's headquarters. It certainly isn't the 13th's.
I recognise that that ventriloquist's doll as Stookie Bill. The first test subject for John Logie Baird's TV camera.
3:18 On the side of the building it says "workplaces for people to innovate connect and thrive.
David Tennant's stare is like Tom Baker's grin. it's their "Doctor thing"... ;-)
If Rose is Donna's daughter... she's Doctor Donna's daughter & that has to be relevant.
That Donna's forgotten she's part Doctor doesn't change what's written on her genes.
i love that im feeling excited about doctor who again, i cant wait for this new era
In the scene where the Doctor is in UNIT, when the screen switches to the dummy you can see a brief glimpse of the doctor holding what appears to be his sonic
The ship that's crashing is definitely an homage to the first frame of the original "The Star Beast" comic. It looks like it is Beep the Meep's ship. I'm annoyed that I didn't realise how much the ship in the Christmas trailer resembled the Meep ships from another frame in the comic.
I've only just noticed the Camden fun fair poster in Stolen Earth. Correct if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the were filming in Camden for the 60th.
The Cyberdog shop is in Camden apparently! Said at the start of the video
Dare I say it looks like "the Doctor Dances Again." somehwere in there? Also some people would say that Murray Gold's music "Kills a scene" in a different way to what you meant!!
Also that ventriloquist's doll looks like Baird's first television experiment showing 30 lines vertical. It was called "Stookie Bill". So some TV from the past?
Yes, Tenant is an awesome Dr, but kudos must be given to Peter Capaldi...great job.
Mr. Capaldi is my second fave Doctor, behind Mr. Pertwee. Yes, I am old.
@@frankmoniz1467 Wow, I don't even know the Pertwee era, but, if you say Capaldi is second to Pertwee, then I've gots to check it out. Me thinks I'm gonna but the 60+ DVD set that has every Dr Who episode and just start from 1963 and go onward. I bet I'll find many episodes that go against the Dr's storyline, but will also be intrigued.
As a fan of *both* Mssrs. Pertwee & Capaldi, I salute you. 🥂
@@YesTHATJohnSmith Thank you fellow Whovian. 😀🍻
I hope we get to see those angry eyebrows in the 60th specials.
Thought it was pretty clear that Donna doesn’t remember the doctor. Rose is Donna’s daughter named subconsciously after rose Tyler. Although she may not remember him it doesn’t really mean anything considering they never knew each other before. Their personalities and experience brought them together. Her following the doctor isn’t strange as she followed him before knowing him. She could say skinny man after remembering seeing him earlier in the episode. Just why is the main question
"We don't see much of Wilf" had me in stitches
13:00 that's 100% an ET Easter Egg! That creature hiding among the stuffed animals until she boops it on the snoot, and then it reacts with a look of terror and those long, thin fingers flailing.
Edit: ah, you did eventually mention that. It's my first time seeing this trailer and that jumped out at me.
THIS is what I waited all day yesterday for but I passed out before you guys posted it
I just want to know when it’s actually set. Assuming the wedding day in End Of Time was set in 2010, only 13 years has passed in real time & obviously Rose is older (looks wise at least) than 13? Or have I missed something lol
We were told as i think they confirmed during a dilming on location that rose is rose temple noble.
I really need to catch up with Doctor Who! I stopped at the introduction of Missy.
I hear the last few years were rough, but I need to be caught up to watch this new/old Who
It’s all well worth watching, there are some brilliant episodes since the Missy intro!
Due to the name of the 1st 60th Special and presence of Beep the Meep in the trailer, I’m leaning to Beep’s appearance being an adaptation of the story that ran in Doctor Who Monthly’s comic strips in 1980. Hurry up November 2023!!
You haven't read star beast have you? Dr who weekly comic strip. Will explain everything about the first special. Please do some research. The spaceship is beep the meeps, being hunted and shot down by the wraith warriors. In previous trailers, we see soldiers with glowing eyes that are controlled by beep the meep to repair her spaceship. Of course the 14th and Donna aspect is added to the story so I would expect Russel to mix it up a little.
Donna is the perfect companion. She is a true partner for the Doctor.
Now we are aware of what the story for beep os gonna be rhe star beast its fair to assume its pretty much an adaptation of that same comic with slight alterations. Also the clips of donna and rhe doctor on the ship are from wild blue yonder not the the star beast.
What makes you think any of this footage is from Special 2? It could all easily be from Special 1
@@dannymeegan the fact that it’s a simple trailer structure, show clips from episode then reveal episode title, it’s the same for star beast and the giggle. The clip at the end is also a classic trailer trope of using a scene from that one of the episodes that is meant to either cause excitement or comedic feeling.
@@tardisglitch547 You might be right, I don’t get that impression personally! All the footage seems like it’s from quite early on (spaceship crashing, Donna wearing the same clothes and looking fairly unscuffed, etc) and that final Beep shot is definitely from Special 1. Plus RTD has said he hopes to air Special 2 with no footage shown beforehand. I think 95% of this trailer is from Special 1
@@dannymeegan yeah I agree about that but the stuff before the giggle title card are special 3. You could be right but that end part of beep is exactly what I meant before about using a random clip to get comedic feeling and such but we'll wait and see
