Jackie succulents are easier to keep alive than other plants. You may succeed with those. BTW that first one I was hoping you'd get in past openings. I'm so glad you finally got it. I love them all, but your commentary is the best part. ❤❤❤
I know you love to recycle, but is there anyway I can buy the containers of you you including shipping to get the containers off of you. I see the containers and have a lot of ideas. I will take anything from the 5 compartment mini brands to the plane round balls.
We were so lucky with the three I found at target. The turtle, a candle and cactus. Ordered one more online and got a fish. ❤️ we mixed a little of the extra clear from the turtle into the sand to make it.
That's extremely lucky!! I found two food balls in other isles and knew I was lucky as well. I ordered lifestyle balls online and received one succulent and three different kinds of candles. I definitely ordered four more balls for tomorrow- Im dying for a little turtle or fish 😂❤️
Hey Jackie, you could take out the shelf, add a little tape and hang the planters from the top of the circle. Might be cute to add the second succulent to the trailing one to fill it out...
Jackie, if you like succulents, you can get fake ones that sit in foam in cute as heck containers! My sister got a bunch for my grandma who LOVES succulents.
Succulents are so hard to keep alive! I've managed to keep 4/5 alive and sprout a couple of babies from wilting leaves, but they bunch of them have their own grow lamp and liquid fertilizer mixed into every other bottle of water. They get very diligent care.
My bestie has some little plastic ones up on a high shelf in her bedroom. They make her very happy and don't take time away from her teen, toddler, and large puppy (three very labor intensive life stages).
So if you have the time and dedication to keep them alive? Great! If you don't? Also great! With the details that go into making fake plants these days you can enjoy the look without the stress. Plop a few of those little bad boys on your counter or coffee table and nobody will question. Free serotonin and/or dopamine!
@@Just1Nora The problem is that your over doing it, succulents are like cacti they don't need much water or fertilizer.
At least you're not me, who felt like they really really needed the pink betta fish kit so they paid an exorbitant amount of money for it. Only to find 2 betta fish kits in a row after the next time I found some kits at my local Target. You were the reason I discovered Make It Minis. For my 42nd birthday this year I did the complete first and second series of the food kids and watched your videos all day. Now I have successfully purchased both sets of series 2, Lifestyle and Halloween. Now I'm just waiting for my next bit of free time to sit down and binge build and watch your videos again. It's my Me Time ❤

Succulents are far more forgiving than your typical plants. I have a pretty brown thumb and have managed to keep mine alive for years! They also provide many babies to enjoy 😊 they've given me the allusion of being successful at gardening 😂
While I do agree you can buy clay and everything for the craft maybe a little bit less expensive, I do admit this is very cute and I think I'd pay the amount they asked for just to try it out! After all $10 for a little project to find out if I like this sort of project and crafting vs. buying all the clay and whatnot and then realizing I don't like it? But I definitely wish you could pick the craft one you get! Then again it wouldn't be a mystery box if that was the case I suppose! Thank you for checking these out! I definitely wanna try to find a couple to try them out.
HEY JACKIE!!!! Have you seen the Halloween edition MiniVerses?! They must be exclusively at Claire’s because that’s the only place I have seen them. I bought three but haven’t opened them yet! According to the packaging, there are three different projects in the edition. I hope they have a Christmas edition too!
I've actually fallen in love with these mini crafts, i'm surprised we actually got all 3 different kinds in finland, with various prices, but atleast i've had a chance to try all of them and i'm so excited to see more from them! I would never had known about these marvelous things without your videos Jackie! Huge thanks!
I wish we could buy these projects in a slightly larger not blind box version. If I knew what I was getting, I'd totally pay $10-$15 for one of these crafts! However I am hesitant to buy the blind boxes because I don't want doubles. And clearly Mini Brands likes their doubles
They have those now! They're more expensive larger kits but you actually save than buying them individually! I just got some from Target. I love it!
there are some accounts on YT that have actually weighed them so u could kinda know what ur getting. DivaDiorama has some videos.
I got one of the plant projects. Luckily, I got another project that came with the "water". So I put a bit on top of the "soil" and cured it with the mini decorative rocks.
Jackie, they want you to put down resin first on the clownfish instructions to help with bubbles. I sent you a tweet about it when you had the other fish bowl project as well. The * next to numbers match to the same numbers with the image.

@@nerdecrafter18:17 Yeah, the directions are actually numbered, not from bottom to top. I read the directions like this:
1. Put the rocks in the bottom.
2. Cover the clownfish and coral in resin.
3. Insert the clownfish and coral into the rocks. Cover with resin (see the star to the left of the 3) to the base of the coral and clownfish.
4. Harden.
5. Cover with more resin up to the point above the coral and clownfish. There's a star here and I can't see anything above 4.
The heaviest balls are the aquariums. Hard to tell plant or candle for the lighter ones. Happy hunting fellow crafters!

my boyfriend and i got one each and i got the turtle! it was super cute, but after a day or so, the gravel started bleeding into the resin and made a weird pink mess :( not sure if it's the type of resin or if it didn't harden all the way in the middle, but we were also a little disappointed. the accessories and packaging are SO CUTE on their own though and could definitely be used for like pet store or garden store displays!
Love these. I have 2 sets of candles and a fishbowl.
For me it is worth the money. I get to make stuff and not have a bunch of art stuff I am not going to use.
Clown fish are very tiny! I actually have two clown fish :) they are still young and very small. They are in a large rectangular tank, and I agree that you shouldn’t put clownfish in bowls because you need lots of special attachments to their tank and they like to have lots of space to swim.
So…Jackie…when are you going to create a resin mansion for all your miniverse decor and food items? Maybe make it a mansion for a my little pony makeover?
The plants are so cute. I'm in the middle of building a miniature greenhouse with reclaimed/recycled materials, and I think I'll design a couple of the little pot plants similarly to the succulents! Adorable

I've bought 5 of these. I got 3 goldfish bowls, 1 cactus, and 1 candle lol. Very bummed about the amount of doubles I got. I did use some rocks from the cactus kit in the 2nd fish bowl though and the white looked a lot better than the gravel that comes with it.
Jackie is the best at being funny supportive and such a FANTASTIC teacher to us grains. We appreciate you so much Jackie we love being the grains of salt and the sharp pointy things

Thank you for advocating for feeshies again! They've become some of my favorite pets and over the years, I've learned that betta fish are my absolute favorite of them. A 10 gallon tank is the perfect size for a betta! I have yet to have one that won't explore every corner, nook, or cranny of a tank that size. Happy fish make me happy! :)

You could mix clear resin with the sand to make it permanent. Would also give the soil a “wet” look :)
When I got the plants, I use some of the clear resin from the fish/turtle and use that to hold the plants in the pots.

We have these everywhere in Arkansas.. every series and they also brought back the very first series at the Family Dollar. The ones in this video are actually from the first wave of the lifestyle series.
I found one of the food ones at Target and got the pretzels, then i found these at Loho and got the exact same kit as the first one you unboxed with the little pink pot and kitty cat. I did the lighter green in the cat and the other one in the pink pot. I agree that the sand felt vheap, especially for $14.99, to the point where i added my own UV resin, added the plant, and then cured them. Because of you Jackie, i am definitely addicted to these little craft kits! I recently got a betta fish, so i'm hoping to get a mini version once I buy more of these kits, and the Halloween ones 👻🎃.

I love the lifestyle ones, but wish there was more crafting with them. My favorite is the hanging turarium, but I have not gotten that one yet. I did get your turtle. You should make something with all the extra pieces you get from these kits including the extras from the food ones.

I suspect the packaging being such a pain is due to people opening blind packages in the store and taking the contents if rare. At least when I worked retail we were constantly having problems with them getting emptied out.

The sea anemones are usually a similar colour to clown fish. It's how the clown fish are able to hide so having a pink or blue one would mean it isnt accurate.
No, the anemone has stinging tentacles but the clownfish are immune to it. The fishes uneaten food bits feed the anemone. Other fish that go after the clowns get stung by the tentacles... it’s called a symbiotic relationship (each helps the other)
They aren't immune, they build up a tolerance to the stings. On the reef that we swim at the anemones are the same colour as clown fish

These are cute! I could see these as Miniatures for doll/toy photography. Like for BJDs at around 1/6th to 1/4th. I may get some to try that out. I've discovered products for my girls, me, and gifts thanks to you. 😊
Edit: I actually like that you switched the hanging plants around. It actually looks way better with the vines hanging out of the smaller one.
I also hate all the plastic waste. I have no idea what to do with them now.
@candihartley119 The plastic is recyclable but I don't know about the balls. I would think they are. I haven't bought any yet so I can't say for certain.

Hi Jackie!what i did when I got a fish was that I let it sit on the shelf for a few days and then dried it and there was NO bubbles (but it could be the resin of the beta)
For those hanging succulents, you could make 2 holes in the top of the bookcase and remove the shelf. Thread hangers through holes and knot. Voila

With the extra kitty succulent, like you said it looks like Bulbasaur, you could diy it and paint it to look like him.
We didnt really care for the cat plants so we made the cats into hot chocolate mugs with leftover chocolate and marshmallows. Id love to see you do this since you're so good at crafts because our cat mugs need handles and you're the master with clay!
Jackie if you love succulents, succulents are very easy to care for, get a mister ( not auto ) and spray it every day

Jackie the light green plant in the first capsule is called comically a hen and chicks I own some myself. they are an easy to identify succulent for their round and slightly spike appearance due to being related to cactus and range in green shades to multiple other hues some with red tips. They are resistant little plants that spread on their own giving the illusion of its name and safe around animals but squirrels seem to like eating them if left to their own devices outside in a pot. 😅

My local grocery store chains just recalled a bunch of American cheese singles because the outer plastic wrappers were crumbly and breaking apart. I wonder if there was some contaminants or poorly mixed materials that could have led to the plastic wrap used in multiple products to be crumbly, or perhaps I'm seeing a link in a coincidence. 🤷🏼♀️

Consider opening all the balls at the top and then doing them and with all your doubles you can use leftover items to improve the other ones you make and make custom ones

I wonder if they are selling out because people are buying multiples to make their own combinations of things. I saw someone who made a multilevel fountain using different cactuses, fish bowl, fish, turtle and the "water" resin and the soil and fish bowl pebbles. There's definitely different things people can make with extras. The cute decor items are cool just by themselves though.

If you get a little heat gun to wave over the resin before hardening it it should help pop some of the bubbles and thin out the resin a bit
Regardless of the negatives, I think my kid would absolutely love to decorate her new bedroom with these little projects!
They also have wave 2 of these out now, the packaging for wave 2 has a fish on the front that's how you can tell! Would also love to see you open the Disney 100 toy mini brands balls to see if they're worth it! ❤

I am feeling salty today! So glad to see a salty video to watch! I didn't realize these were getting sold out. I happened to find 3 of them in the wrong spot at my local walmart. I bought all 3 and received 1 candle set and 2 turtles. I was not disappointed getting 2 turtles. I feel very lucky after watching this. I'm not so crazy about the other items in this series, so I might not buy any more even if I see them. Though both sets of those succulents do look cute!
I have had trouble with almost every tab on these, so not just you! I have found your videos helpful with these miniverse kits.
I took the advice of a poster from a previous video on the cafe series who said she took the display box home and since there was an empty display at my local store, I took it (after asking of course) and now I have the popcorn with a bowl and spoon, but the resin and sprinkles were empty. I still feel like I scored on the display box! Turtley awesome!
I bought clear resin, it definitely helps with keeping the plants in! ( especially when my kitty steals them lol )
I got one of the plant ones too.. I ended up using my left over resin from the turtle bowl to construct my plant project because I was so nervous of it all spilling out.
