I think it's a good idea that these kits dont smell like anything but resin. If it had scents it would encourage smelling the resin. And the target audience is 100% NOT ADULTS, but kids/teens who sometimes dont know any better and could 100% "try" the resin if it smells good and its not like their parents might know what resin is or that their child should have supervision when playing with this. Also smelling resin is bad in general so adding a scent would only encourage that! Also adding a scent might change the formula for the resin and might make it unusable or more unsafe.
This is what I was thinking.
It’s the same reason that most companies try to avoid making scented glue. Except it would be worse because kids glue is usually non-toxic and resin definitely isn’t.
I wonder if the sprinkles for the birthday candles in the lifestyle set were scented because maybe those were real sprinkles, and they just smelled sweet.
Because I got the eucalyptus candle set and it definitely wasn’t scented.
Yup. My kids do these regularly so that would be a serious problem!

There are also adults who would *definitely* smell/try the resin if it smelled good.
The orange part of the wrapper tells you what these are since there are only 3….same with the holiday version. You could return the duplicates without opening all 6. 😊

Resin tips: 1) use baby wipes to clean resin; 2) use a heat gun, a torch lighter (but carefully!), or rubbing alcohol spray to get rid of air bubbles; 3) a heat gun can also soften thick resin and make it easier to mix or spread 👍

Huh? I think Jackie knows those procedures, but thankyou for reminding everyone else about them.
Be careful with the alcohol spraying because it may cause the resin to not cure if there is too much.
Having the resin container in hot water for a few minutes before is better to help with flow than to use a heat gun to get it to flow.

Just gentle reminder that when Jackie says don't do the things she might if she touches resin or when she smells it, resin IS toxic. You can develop allergies to it by touching it and its very unhealthy to breath in. Be responsible and safe when u craft with toxic substances. These batches are small enough that the fumes shouldn't be a huge worry unless you're exposing urself super often for a long enough period of time, but some people's disposition are weaker than others and once you develop a allergy reaction you can never lose it. Treat it like gel polish, have fun and don't be afraid of it! But if you can help it try to avoid too much skin contact

I love the details on the labels - at the bottom of each it says "Daily Value is based on how much fun you'll have while making this mini". Also, we Trinigrains say "cara-mel' in Trinidad where I live.
Hi Jackie! Just to let you know that the saying is "Ruffle someone's feathers" AND I've learned that you can get resin off of things by using a baby wipe. Hope it helps! :)
That’s scary to know that baby wipes remove infant poop and resin also. Yikes.
My experience with real caramel apples tends to be the same experience Jackie had with the resin ones. The caramel always wants to slide off the apple, and then be super thick in some parts and thin in the others. It looked accurate to me lol.

Possibly the lack of scent is to discourage people from sniffing the resin. Though in the same vein as the birthday cake sprinkles, perhaps they could have scented the non-resin decorations instead.
To be fair my dumbass that does big resin projects if i did these and smelt the sprinkles and they had a smell my dumbass would then see if the resin was also scented 🤣🤣

You have gotten me so addicted to these miniverse food mystery boxes! I have been trying to get these Halloween ones for a while now too, and finally managed to order some yesterday, they are arriving on Friday, I'm so excited!

Yesssss spooky resin craft
You can make these apples with clay or a bead with a toothpick for the apple on a stick. Cut the toothpick and smooth out the end so no splinters. Sanding or filing works. Then you get brown acrylic paint to dip it in once your apples are made ready for this step. You can mix paint for the caramel color or get resin and color the resin yourself. If you want sprinkles or things you can diy them from something like colored polymer clay. I made sprinkles by baking small polymer clay pieces and then going in to cut little shavings off of it. You could just put it in a bag and crush them with a hammer for bigger crumble-like pieces.
I made one by using the bottom part of a rock candy stick that has a ball but if you don't have that there are other ways.
If made you can have a slightly flat side to be able to stand it up. The plus side to this method is that it's not connected to a base to stand up and can be used with dolls or other toys if made the right size for the toy.
I love these little make it mini things but this if you don't have them and have all the other stuff to potentially make them at home.

I think the caramel was fine tbh, the issue you were having is literally the same thing that we have making real caramel apples, sometimes we also use two coats lol, but I like mine thinner too or else it's too sweet, so likewise I prefer the craft to be able to do however many coats each person prefers.
i bought a couple of the cafe ones that i found on amazon for $10 (am also a fellow canuk) and i had so much fun putting them together! it was interesting working with UV resin for the first time, and have been wanting to get into resin crafts and such for a while, so this is a neat lil way to get my feet wet rofl
but omf i saw these also and was considering getting them! I have some dolls ive been meaning to customize too as my characters, and these would be so cute for them all to 'enjoy' xDD
The pie crust had fangs! That's so cute! Funny enough I just bought two of the normal little ones due to watching you put them together so much. Because these always look like so much fun! I'm so tempted to buy these halloween ones still, but I haven't seen them in stores at all! Might have to default to buying online too.

Jackie! The normal Diner and cafe series have a wave two B set with some new foods! More pizza's, bundt cakes and more for the diner set(can comfirm as I opened this set myself). I still need to find the cafe B set but I saw lots of new foods/drinks in that one too!

I actually commend them for telling you what is inside. I didn't know they did that when it first came out and I decided I wasn't gonna get them because there was too big of an opportunity for doubles with there only being 3 options.
Can’t wait to see how you customize them!!! I also ordered mine online, and didn’t realize the outside told you what was inside, so I got the three plus 2 extra Apple ones. 😂
A tip for you with the resin: I usually heat it slightly with a warm water bath. It allows the resin to loosen up a bit and makes it SOOO much easier to use! Hope that helps! Love all your content.
Imagine if there is going to be a Miniverse advent calendar with things like Christmas themed plates,bowls,cups and utensils, mini Christmas tree or Christmas themed lifestyle things, Christmas pudding, Christmas cake pops, Christmas cupcakes, hot chocolate, Christmas tables. But it would probably be to expensive like nearly $300 dollars
I love how you make the apples the same way you would for the real thing 🥰. I do wish that like the process (if you ever seen me do caramel apples, I have the SAME problems irl, I always struggle lol), the crumbles were more realistic in size at least. YOU may not say yours will be better but I will say they will DEF be better 😉😊

In the event of limited holiday miniverse I like the 'spoilers' these are so hard to find that it is nice knowing that if you can get them in person you can make the full set.
My favorite treat for Halloween is a pumpkin spice latte and a cookie that’s decorated as a pumpkin

I'm weird. They're car-muhl apples, but the stuff you put on them is care-uh-mel. The candies are care-uh-mels. But it's a car-muhl frappucino, but the sauce used it care-uh-mel.
So basically, if it's an adjective, it's car-muhl. The noun is care-uh-mel. For me 🙂

I normally don't care if these sorts of things are scented, but you're right. This is a limited edition holiday craft. There's only three. Scents would add so much more to the seasonal experience!
Some people can’t have scented things that’s the only problem 😅 Quite a bit of people are either allergic to scents or get headaches from them

That is extremely accurate to the actual experience of making caramel apples. It is a messy and underwhelming process.

👻 🎃 👻 my favorite Holiday above all else and followed by 🐣 and 🎄. I always take the end of October off to binge watch my favorite Horror movies: The Conjuring Series and similar as well as Korean ones like Train to Busan (excellent and recommended Zombie movie for those who love that type or Horror movies in general). I'm the only one in my family that loves them! 😅
I do watch non-Horror movies like Scooby-Doo ones or Halloweentown.
They work pretty well with 1/6th scale! MyFroggyStuff here in UA-cam does videos where she has different dolls hold miniatures and her Barbies were perfectly scaled for these.
Use the pumpkin knob from one of the kits for the pumpkin pie! I think it would look amazing!

5:58 I personally like to point out, although I do partially agree that the apples should be different colors, I feel like one of the main reasons why they’re all green is because green apples are often used for candied apples, not so much of the other apples
Since I guess, different coloured apples have different flavours to them so maybe the green one is most fitting
I agree. Since green apples are often Granny Smith (at least in the US) and are a more sour apple, they go really well with sweet things like caramel. At least, real ones do.

I think the reason they are not making anything of these scented is because it resembles food. I know this is not for kids, but I definitely have adults around that would eat the scented resin 😅 They did the candles scented because is not food so if you try to eat a candle well.. it's on you 😅😅

I LOVE candy corn and the pumpkin candy corn things. I can eat an entire bag by myself but my teeth HATE me. I also love the little square caramels, they make my mouth water so bad even thinking about them (I know you can get those caramels year round, but they aremore common in fall)
Yes those crumbles, toffee crumbles I think, are way too big for the apple. However, it is a really cute craft. :)

I get where you want the scent added but I think it would need to be added to like the paper lining it or something like that and not the resin itself.
Because if they put something toxic in something that looks like food packaging & is scented like food, I feel like the chances of a lawsuit are just way too high if a kid ate resin that they added scent to.
My favorite part of your vids is watching you strongarm defenseless pie crusts, no need to tone it down!
