so you weren't kidding when you aid its basically completely redesigned. you guys really do deserve more views props!!! it so cute i want one just to display in my house as a piece of art or furniture hah
@JelleSchaffie, Could you please share your experience with it? I'm really interested in this subwoofer to make an upgrade (now I own a Polk HTS 12, that hits really hard, but I miss output in 20 Hz and below range. Does RP-1200SW have output going down from 20 Hz ?
Klipsch is getting better but they are still using stamped baskets and the internal parts are not there yet. I have always bought Klipsch until I found RSL Speakers. The Speedwoofer 12S has 500 watts RMS 1,550 peak power. 16hz to 250hz. $799.00
Stamped baskets just don't matter much in home subwoofers that are stationary. The strength isn't necessary like in pro audio cabinets that will be moved and banged up every day, and any theoretical ringing is way higher than the subwoofer will be playing. Doesn't really do much. That money is usually better off being invested elsewhere.
I bought the rp8000f ii's a couple months ago and was thinking about getting an svs subwoofer to go with them but now they finally made the rp1000sw that matches the look of the speakers and hopefully the sound... Can you guys do a comparison between the new premiere subwoofers and the svs subwoofers??
We don't typically do brand vs brand because the brands get a bit touchy about it. That said...I can for sure recommend this new sub/sub line. It's a game changer. -Jason
Oh, I was sure to buy the 12 inch. But this is huge as well. Especially because I want to install a second one later and it is for Hifi only. 11 is great! :-D
A 175 square meter bedroom is nearly 2,000 square feet. I'd say you could use all the help you could get. :) For bedroom systems you actually don't need much of anything, most people just stream netflix videos and are happy with hearing LFE that doesn't really dip down below 35 hz much. You can use almost anything for that especially in a typical bedroom. Not sure if 175 square meters is a typo or not.
I used to own a Klipsch SW-450 Subwoofer and loved it. I've heard a Klipsch R-12SW and wasn't impressed, too hallow and cheap sounding. How would you rate this as a replacement for the sw 450? Thanks
The R-12SW sounded cheap because that's a cheap sub. The RP line is much much better. Like comparing a Ford Pinto to a Ford Raptor. :) Much more neutral and inert cabinet, much lower extension. Call me at 270-556-8427 to order one.
Thank you for this. I want to ask something, if we get two sub, can we get stereo bass sounds from left and right subs? Or both of them gives us mono bass sounds ? Thanks.
Great new design. I am disappointed in the use of what looks like 14 AWG wire as connectors to the driver, as well as thin wires on the the amp. I would expect to see audiophile grade wires.
everybody gets hung up on it but cast baskets aren't exactly needed on home audio subs. Any theoretical resonances will be higher than what the subs play and it's not getting dropped like pro drivers in PA cabinets on the road does.
I recently won one through the Youthman/Klipsch subwoofer podcast. Very excited about trying it out.
No way you won lucky
I was super happy to see this klipsch subwoofer internally, it has an excellent construction, its woofer has a huge magnet. Exellent video.
Wish they came in Gloss Black! I know most people don’t like it for reflections in a home theater but something super cool about gloss black!
Those subwoofers are so beautiful I bet they hit hard
My RP-1600SWs will be here Monday... Can't wait!
So did you get it bro?
I have the 12” on order.
good to see what's inside, thanks
Nice, detailed video. Thanks. And those volume knobs look great.

Great video, finally I found some simple and enjoyable home audio channel, loved the bloobers at the end btw 😂
Thanks! Wasn't sure how many people (if any) were actually sticking around for the bloopers lol. went ahead and left em in just in case though.

What's with the copper cone? Maybe they should try titanium?
I mean it's really aluminium with a ceramic coating. I don't think you'd want to pay for an actual titanium cone.

And now, I can finally say it and have it be true: "These go to 11!"
Wow, I would love to add this 10" sub to my home theater but would probably get evicted from my apartment if I did.😆
Only one way to find out! ;)

Great job, Jason. Excellent!
So I have to buy speaker cables before installing
Disappointed that there is no XLR input. Other than that this sub is impressive.
Why would you need an xlr? Ultra super long line runs?
Make no sense to have a XLR on this subwoofer.

( I Have rp51pm now with eversolo network player.)
depends on how your processor handles it.
Nice video.
Thanks for watching!

The only issue for me is the lenght, it doesn't fit for my room :( I'm going with the SW120 instead.
The RP's are significantly better, but if you need the R-120SW, we have several in stock, call 270-556-8427

the reality is that it's so short and the amp is so small that it doesn't really matter. not going to have hardly any loss.

That stamped steel woofer frame is hardly a monster imo at all!
