And what if i cannot start a war for slaves and i would like to migrate to area's that are still fre. How do i annex these area's or get enough people to migrate?
If you talk about colonization you do that by clicking the free area no nation control, in the window that pops up among other things you should have a Colonize button, clicking it makes that area yours. There are requirements to be able to click it, if you cant click it just mousing over it should tell what you need to do to be able to colonize. Among the requirements are that you need a province with at least 10 pops nearby and they need to be of the right culture.
They did. Best way now is just get as many + modifiers to the over time convertion that you can. You'll find them here: imperator.paradoxwikis.com/Culture
I have a very hard time promoting pops to citizens and my research efficiency is terrible I do use the mod better UI so it's different but what is the best way to promote them
Pops have changed a lot since this guide, especially in patch 1.2. Would require an essay to write an in depth guide to them here but the very short and simplified version: Your provinces have a desired pops ratio that vary between for example settlements and cities. If you click a province then on view pops on of the headlines say classes. Here you can see the current promotion/demotion going on and in the bottom of that headline you can see the desired ratios (mouse over them to get the details). I believe they only promote until the reach the desired ratio, but you can change this ratio with curtain buildings, laws and other modifiers.
I don't believe you can move the window, but there are mods that allow you to move them, like this one: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1724726340&searchtext=window remember that mobs may prevent you from getting achievements if you care about does.
Do you know why they changed how the manpower pool works compared to the EU, HOI Games as well as compared to EU: Rome? in all those Games if you disband a Unit the Soldiers of these Units get returned to your manpower Pool, in Imperator Rome they dont, they just vanish.
Actually it wasn't until Cradle of Civilization DLC for EU4 got released in late 2017 that disbanded units could returned to the manpower pool and they still only do it if you have a army professionalism of 60% or higher. My guess is that the main reason they are not returning to the pool in Imperator is that they have tried to make manpower a lot more important in the game, something you really have to be careful with. Thats why attrition is much worth in Imperator compared to EU4 and you can quickly lose a lot of manpower but just moving through the wrong terrain or using to big stacks. Now if it's a fun mechanic is debatable. I actually like that I need to be more careful with the manpower and don't run around with 200K doomstacks. But it would be more realistic if disbanded unites returned to the manpower pool.
I don't believe it do. You can find out more about it in the discussion on the official forums: forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/threads/amount-of-people-in-one-pop.1165425/
@@johnmanole4779 It's probably since you conquer a lot of land. Whenever you conquer new land you capture new slaves. If you go to your pop screen you find Pop Class and under that you can see ongoing promotions and demotions (one pop type getting changed to another). This is based on the desired ratio (that you find below) you can change the desired ration with buildings, as an example a mill will increase the desired ratio of slaves by 10% so if you build a mill you will get more pops demoted to slaves. If you check the tool tip from different pop types you will also see that there are other things that effect, like if it's a city you will get more free men etc. You also have some laws that changes desired ratio but I don't believe you have one that increased tribal.
Only one pop can grow at a time, I'm not completely sure how the game prioritizes which type of pop will grow next, it may be random. As soon as a pop have been created a new will start growing as long as you still have positive growth in the city and the new one can be of a different pop group.

@@v44n7 Yes that's how it work in game, if you lose a battle you lose control of the unit until the have retreated. Think about it in real life, you army is losing and running for their life. Not until they have stopped running you can get in control again and start reorganizing the army.

There is clearly room for improvements. But it's also kind of the way Paradox develops games. They tend to focus on the more complex strategy game genre and does games are not for everyone.
To colonize the culture of the province that borders the uncolonized land has to have a majority of your culture and religion. Not the one your colonizing. So if you spent to convert assimilate you can colonize the rest of that island.
also after you colonized you can put your citizens to the new colony and directly colonize the next city (as long as majority of colony is your culture).
