I love their energy, how tight they are, how down to earth they are, the heaviness mixed with complexity and groove, beautiful singing and growling and especially Tatiana's lyrics! The first time I heard Pisces in 2019, I hadn't liked any metal with growling and it took me a few listens to start liking it, but now Tatiana is my favorite vocalist and Jinjer my favorite band (Pisces has been my wake up alarm for a few years and I still love it more every time I hear it, snooze is a thing of the past). TLDR: skip to the last paragraph 😂 Sorry for the long comment, I just love Jinjer too much and love seeing people discover (and usually fall in love with) them and each of their songs! My three favorite comments about Jinjer that I've seen, "terrifying levels of talent", "I hate it when a Jinjer song ends", and a mother quoting her four year old wanting to see the "lion lady" 🤣 All four current members of Jinjer have essentially no formal musical training except Vlad the drummer who studied classical piano. For most of their songs, the three guys write most of the instrument music, then Tatiana writes most of the lyrics and melodies (she gets tons of well deserved credit for her vocal and stage performance abilities, but maybe not quite enough for her lyrical and musical composition abilities). Roman the guitarist has written a lot of the instrument music in the past, so he's a huge part of the beautiful sound of Jinjer, but Vlad the drummer (who also plays guitar and classical piano, but so far not in most Jinjer songs - I think he played piano in lainnereP) has been writing more of it and wrote nine of the eleven songs for the last album Wallflowers (next album is done recording, but not out yet). Eugene composes some - he wrote the instrument music for one song on Wallflowers and a few songs on other albums, and I know that apart from his amazing work on the bass, he adds riffs and has written lyrics for a few Jinjer songs. Jinjer has been a tour-heavy band, touring almost nonstop from 2013 to 2020 and much of the time since then (with interruptions by covid and the US backed coup/proxy war), hard work that has made them fantastic live performers. The band (all members have been Ukrainian, with Russian their first language) started in eastern Ukraine (Donetsk) in 2008 as a group of three (then five) with none of the current members (they consider the official start of the band when Tatiana replaced the male vocalist and Roman joined as lead guitar 2009/2010), Vlad is the fifth drummer (joined in 2016) and it's been a group of four since 2015 (though they consider their road sound engineer Sasha to be a fifth member). Other favorites are I Speak Astronomy, Retrospection, Words of Wisdom, Just Another, Captain Clock, Scissors, Exposed As A Liar, I Want It I'll Get It, A Plus Or A Minus, Dip A Sail, When Two Empires Collide, lainnereP, Prologue and Beggar's Dance (those last two are short album bookends that could do well together in one reaction if you're so inclined). I haven't found a Jinjer song I don't love, so I think you can't go wrong if you choose any of them, but a few good choices might be Perennial (official and/or live at Wacken 2019, both are must-see), Teacher Teacher (official is the studio audio with some great footage from several shows), Judgement & Punishment (official and/or Tatiana's one take performance, again both must-see), Pit of Consciousness (official and/or live in Kiev/Kyiv, a third where both are absolutely must-see) or the heartwrenching plea against war in Home Back (official video). I've seen ALOT of reactions to this song and I've seen ALOT of your reactions to other songs. Reactions to Pisces generally take a very similar route and boy do I love it. Rabbit, fam, you're one of the people that makes UA-cam a great place to be sometimes. You are unapologetically you and even though you may not understand what's going on, you like it and respect it because you care about learning new things. That makes you a pretty special person in my humble opinion.

Another Jinjer Pisces reaction I haven't seen yet! :) Me and a few others make a hobby of watching reactions to this song :) A few tidbits I've learned about Tatiana and the band: "Heavy Vocals" a.k.a. the growl utilises a different part of the throat - the part that we use to make a heave sound (when you lift something heavy, for example). It took Tatiana 12 years to train her growl this way. But this is how she can switch cleanly between the two styles. Another bit of info: This video was made to highlight their new drummer Vlad, who has had no formal training in drums - he is a classically trained pianist who taught himself so he could play in Jinjer. EVERYONE falls in love with Tatiana! She is amazing. Check out Judgement and Punishment One Take Vocal. You will be amazed. Also, Perennial Live at Wacken. You will see that it's all her. But beyond her amazing vocal ability, every single band member is top shelf. One of the best bands out there!
The guitarist pressed the button to switch his guitar from acoustic to distortion. Tatjana doesn't have a button, she's just a metal singer. The song is about the star sign Pisces and its dual nature. Fun fact: In the first interviews, the band didn't know why they were called Jinjer. They were founded in Ukraine in 2008 and by 2015 they had completely replaced it. There are no founding members left in the band, which is why no one was involved in the name choice. That's why they now say 2009 was the year they were founded, because that was the year Tatjana took over the microphone. In 2016 they had their international breakthrough with Pisces.
The one line that most of the lyrics sites gets wrong is the one about scale armor. It actually is "scale armor belies virgin innocence.' As in having scale (like a fish) armor (like emotional armor) belies (gives the lie to) any professed virgin innocence. You don't build.up emotional armor by being an innocent.

This is 8 years old now and nowhere near the level that they are now. This song is also a one off for them and the band actually hates this song because they never usually do any kind of power ballads. They just recently did an interview and live studio session that blows this out of the water. Look up Jinjer From Nothing by Audiotree.
try listening to more than wrap and may your horizons be broadened. Jinjer is an awesome amazing progressive metal chore fusion band and it’s all her. It’s not Keesha, her name is Tatiana and and the “ pedal” was the guitarist kicking on the distortion for the guitar.

The song is about the star sign Pisces and its dual nature.
Fun fact: In the first interviews, the band didn't know why they were called Jinjer. They were founded in Ukraine in 2008 and by 2015 they had completely replaced it. There are no founding members left in the band, which is why no one was involved in the name choice. That's why they now say 2009 was the year they were founded, because that was the year Tatjana took over the microphone. In 2016 they had their international breakthrough with Pisces.

As in having scale (like a fish) armor (like emotional armor) belies (gives the lie to) any professed virgin innocence. You don't build.up emotional armor by being an innocent.

This is 8 years old now and nowhere near the level that they are now. This song is also a one off for them and the band actually hates this song because they never usually do any kind of power ballads. They just recently did an interview and live studio session that blows this out of the water. Look up Jinjer From Nothing by Audiotree.
