    What’s the cure for too much rosin on the bow? Is there any option aside from sawing away, hoping to shed the excess?

      I think it is to dust it off with a special cloth (the same kind used for dusting glasses) at the end of every lesson to prevent it in the first place. I am not an expert but i hear this advice.

    Allison you’re the best
    In your patreon do you include current pop songs ? Also are they intermediate songs? Any beginner?

    • @TheOnlineViolinTutor
      @TheOnlineViolinTutor  Рік тому +1

      Yes there are quite a few pop songs on there actually - it’s mainly pop i would actually say. As for level, hard to define as they are pop songs like Imagine Dragons etc, so i would say not beginner so much, someone who can play at least.
      Pop songs are not complicated or particularly difficult, so as long as you are a decent player, you’ll be able to play most of the music in the back catalog i would say.

      @@TheOnlineViolinTutor thanks, I’m not yet decent lol but according to my instructor, I’m coming along well. Intonation is improving a lot but what’s weird is as soon as one thing improves, another thing slips. For ex, my bowing was pretty straight but since I started focusing on my fingering, the bowing is slipping.

    Just picked up a violin the other day and it came with a little thing of rosin and I wasn’t sure if my technique was just purely bad but no turns out I have really shitty rosin so now I’m buying a new thing of it

    Thank you for the video, I had no idea that the rosin you use can affect the sound of the violin! I believe I found the sartory rosin you use and recommend on the fiddlershop website! I ordered some myself and cant wait to hear the difference compared to the rosin that come with my violin. Thank you for all the tips in this video. Love your channel as always! I am almost a year into playing and I have enjoyed all your videos!

    Love your tutorials, Alison! 😊 I'm now in my 9th year playing the violin, and enjoying it more and more each day (even though I play it only in the first position, and in the first two octaves, and with a fake finger vibrato). 🤫

    I began violin by the first Thursday of 2023. My hands are constantly sweaty in everything I do, would my sweaty hands hurt my violin? What can and what should I do about it?

    • @Luna_edits0499
      @Luna_edits0499 Рік тому +1

      Yes it would damage the wood. The wood will puff up, if its the nervous kind of sweat, just relax and go with the flow ☺😃
