- We conclude the epic Dark Angels Coverage with the Inner Circle Companions that Games Workshop so very kindly sent to me and now we have a truly spectacular collection of miniatures! The Dark Angels are fantastic and characterful and now I'm just waiting for the Blood Angels to get the same treatment!

I love these, mainly because highlighting the power armors is the bane of my existence, and they have their armors covered in robes lol
I love the fact is that if you go a bit lighter with the black templar on the armour. You can skip the first highlight method and just jump to the second
That burgundy on the robes is such a gorgeous colour!
Thank you for such a great tutorial! I followed your example and they came out fantastic! Love watching your videos
as a dark angels painter i have to said that your recipe for green armour is simply amazing
What you did with the shoulder icon and the Acquilla is so simple and looks so good! I prefer the way it looks versus the standard bone color and the Apothecary White method. Well done!
The black armor recipe is so nice, I've kept it in mind ever since I saw you to it on the Silent King.
I wonder if it's possible to recreate the Lion's slightly green-ish black armor by using something like Karandras Green as the undercoat with this technique.
Breathtaking scheme. You’re a genius! Please do another crimson fist when you have time… maybe Pedro Kantor? Keep up the amazing work 🙏🏻
Really interesting approach - thanks for posting!
I found this one particularly useful, thank you!
The closing comments are my favourite. "Ready to bodyguard stuff.". I like to think that that's how Lion El'Jonson issues his orders. "Brother Janus. Brother Endimion. Cover the way out. Brother Romanus. Brother Justinian. Take up positions. And Brother Haldane. Brother Regulus...go bodyguard stuff."
definitely going to have to try out the sigvald burgundy/carroburg crimson combo on my kasrkin when i get to them. Looks stunning
These new models are exactly what I want from space marines. Cool power armour draped in gothic robes and iconography, charging into battle with swords.
He delivers! 🎉
Man how do you get that contrast to go on so smoothlywith no streaks lol. Heresy I say!
thanks so much for these tutorial videos, already copied the demon prince and chaos warriors from slaves to darkness. love your style thanks
Biggest highlight of the new Dark Angels range for me (apart from the Lion)
Ooo, I really like that approach with the green armor! I wonder how much different it would look with DA green contrast instead of the black templar contrast? I'll need to find some test models to play with.
Hi @warhipster with all the recipes for the dark angel green is this the one you would recommend if i was starting a whole new army
Looks great, love the simple wash for the shoulder and Aquilla. Did you use standard Nuln oil or gloss?
I didnt know you could do dark angels green with turquoise and black 😮
if i dont have grey seer primer, can i achieve the same green armor effect with other primers?
Warhipster, I have been following your Cities of Sigmar as I just started this hobby, and I picked them. The first issue I encountered was finding it extremely difficult to pain Freeguild Steelhelms, for example, since they all have a shield and I glued the mini, as you did, and it's very tough to paint behind the shield and such.
Any particular reason you do things this way instead of sub assembly?
Can't wait to paint them up as blood angels!
Lame
Did you not like any of the smoking censures lol
Desperate to get paid so I can pick up these bad boys for my dark angels army!
Hello Warhipster, i have a small question. Are u playing to release a how to paint video for new horus heresy army Solar Auxilia ? Thank you very much.
nice
Could Skeleton Horde thined with Contrast Medium be a substitute for Seriphim Sepia? What consistency would you suggest?
It’s too light to begin with
Mmm I like the alpha legion variant 😂
I mean, those look better than GWs models 😍
