it looks like the record changer mechanism (upper left corner) can be turned in such a way to handle 12 inch records. Is that correct? I know it's only a 78 turntable. Record companies put out 12 inch 78s as well as the standard 10 inch 78 records.
You have to put a lot of work into it. I had to completely redo the electronics in this radio. I resoldered every component and bought a good set of tubes. To understand what it takes to restore these radios, watch this video series. It's a different philco radio, but essentially the same chasis for the radio portion. ua-cam.com/video/IelT-Qp13po/v-deo.html
@@militaryhfradio244As my first hands on with an AA5/AA6 radio, this was a TERRIBLE choice! Everything is so tightly packed together. Bit off quite a bit more then I could chew.
Nice job! Mine is still a work in progress.
k thanks

+411Soulman1 This particular changer mechanism can change x10 12" 78rpm records or x12 10" 78rpm records.
I have one I got for free off the Facebook marketplace. It turns on but it doesn’t work. Do you have any tips? Suggestions?
