I love these little gadget reviews! I'm a sucker for stuff like that! I wonder how well those silicone bowl covers hold up in the freezer, like if you made a batch of lasagna and wanted to freeze it, would they protect the food from freezer burn?
James, at first thanks for being one of the best gadget reviewers on UA-cam. Some of the items, especially kitchen gadgets, can be used for several different uses they originally were not intended to be used for. Have you ever thought of doing videos exploring the potential new uses for single-use items?
I once accidentally used a can of tomatoes that were expired by over 6 years. They were fine. Amazon appears to be better now. I've had 2 deliveries come before the estimated time this week. One 1-2 days and one standard. Headphones and an Xbox controller so nothing essential.
I have the chef wizard and love it, it is good at getting into the corner of a pan when you are whisking thick gravy or pudding. To pick things you have to get them up higher onto the whisk. I use it for every thing like picking up frying hot dogs or chicken. I love your videos.Thank you..
Your reviews are super generous... you are so kind! 1. Anyone with ANY knife skills at all would have cut those grapes and tomatoes faster (and more evenly) than the slicer gadget cut them... and a knife is clearly easier to clean than this contraption; 2. loved the poacher gadget for its simplicity (and effectiveness); 3. I liked how you tried to get the small lid to fit :) to no avail - and you are so kind & generous: that center dial made the stacking possibilities questionable; 4. Loved your mention of the Honeymooners episode with Ralph & Norton trying to sell that kitchen helper... epic fail! As was THIS gadget if you consider that it didn't actually work well for all the intended uses; 5. You said it! Hype!!! Why is a spoon rest not enough for people anymore??? Who actually uses this many utensils at one time? You said it yourself. It seems like a space hog that serves no real purpose a spoon rest or saucer don't already provide. I give YOU a definite thumbs up. The gadgets? An eye roll.
A lot of these "as seen on tv" items are actually originally designed for the disabled and elderly. But if that was their only market it would be hard to break even, let alone turn a profit. The zip slice, poacher cups, and chef wizard reviewed in this video all stick out to me as being for people with troubles using traditional utensils.
I sure hope not...makes a difference to know that most of those cheap items were knockoffs from regular items, with “stealing” the tech, etc. I used to look at them with amusement, not any more.
Minor criticism on the Uni-Lid review: As a review channel I kind of expect you to get the big pack for a proper review instead of grabbing the small one and only testing half the available lids. Aside from that: Nice video, as always :)
For cutting grapes and cherry tomatoes and whatever, it's a lot easier to just put the grapes etc. between two plates (the one on top turned upside down), and then run a chef knife between them. Perfectly cut in half, and there they already are on the plate too.
With the utensil holder I'd be worried about cross contamination the most. I still prefer to use those silicon spoon rests, even though it takes up more space.

Unfortunately this is what most inventors think about along with the consumers... however where it goes wrong is that the company that assumes this next step Is usually too cheap to make it out of good material and the whole invention is now a disservice to the consumers and to finalize my point is what we end up with a simple let down... keep up your good work ...

It took me a couple of try’s to get them on correctly, it’s better to practice with something that doesn’t contain liquid, I was afraid I’d splash it. But once you get the hang of it there’s no problem
It looks like they'd stack better if they were "burped"? Seems to have a lot of air trapped in them.
Jeandiata Smith How do you burp them? Just curious. Thanks.
Just started watching your page... absolutely love it!!! Keep up the great content!
Zip slicer could butterfly cut a hot dog. Or a hot dog cut.
or other hot dog shaped items
I have a fake one... i know what I'm doing tomorrow 🤪
I love these reviews James you rock
James I like the glasses!’ You look very handsome!!😎
Your always very entertaining. I like that! Keep it up my friend!!😃✌️
John Lennon style
I have the utensil rest I love it. I wish I’d gotten an 8 slotter. Silicone, easy to clean.
I actually bought two items based on your reviews: the round collapsible stool and the thin wallet. The wallet was the biggest surprise. At first I was put off by the card holding position, but now I like it. The stool is something I use every day at the stable. It's very handy and it's compact size is great. I wish it was a little taller, though. Thanks for the reviews!
Re: Lid Covers - Don't leave food in Cans!!!
Dangerous, I can't believe how many ppl do that.
Why not?

I enjoy watching your reviews to see the gadgets in action. When demonstrating the unilid you are demonstrating its water-tightness not its air-tightness but still a great video. :)
You're not technically supposed to leave leftovers in open cans... something about leeching chemicals or toxicity.
Reaction between the metal of the can and the acidity in the food. Many cans are now lined to prevent this from happening.
Like it doesn't leech into the food BEFORE you opened the can?!?! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@@Jeni10ALL cans are lined... THEY ALWAYS HAVE BEEN....
@@BeccaHetrick “Plastic began the canned marriage in the 1950s with epoxy resins coating aluminium (think soda tin) and steel cans (think food can). About a million tons of can coatings are now producted globally to line cans and most cans are coated internally and externally with films of 1 to 10 µm thickness.”
“Bisphenol-A (BPA) is a controversial chemical compound present in commercially available tin can plastic linings and transferred to canned food. The inside of the can is coated with an epoxy coating, in an attempt to prevent food or beverage from coming into contact with the metal.”
“BPA became popular in the 1950s when scientists discovered its myriad of uses. It was so cheap to make, hailed as multi-functional, resistant to impact and heat, transparent and used to avoid food spoilage and contamination.
Sounds perfect right? Wrong. We now know BPA to be an endocrine disrupter. This means it wreaks havoc on our hormones.”
I love your channel... I love your reviews... You have a great personality, it's calming and soothing to me. Also really enjoy watching when your kids review with you and let's not forget Bailey :)
Your backyard looks like an awesome Zoom background!
Great content as always

The Best Reviews on UA-cam
The small lid in the 3-pack is probably for large tomato-size cans
18:23 them tomatoes are or were still good quite a lot of tinned foods last WAY past their expiration dates and in times like these having food that last quite a while is a great thing.
NOTE: Airtight =/= Watertight
Air is a hell of a lot harder to contain than water!
ok
I watch this every night so I can fall asleep. I've done this for about 2 months now. I can't sleep without his voice and I can't stay wake if I listen to him
I love these little gadget reviews! I'm a sucker for stuff like that!
I wonder how well those silicone bowl covers hold up in the freezer, like if you made a batch of lasagna and wanted to freeze it, would they protect the food from freezer burn?
I love your kitchen related item reviews. Makes for good dinner watching.
"That's what she said" 1:10 😆
James, at first thanks for being one of the best gadget reviewers on UA-cam.
Got here early (3 minutes after upload), what comments am I supposed to read?
I suggest that Bailey make an appearance in the next video!
I'll see what I can do!
Got here at 2 mins, never gotten that early!
Quarantine has been rough hey? Haha
@@PantonePapi I'm actually at work LMFAO just got here and opened UA-cam 😂
Love your reviews!
I actually love your shades. I would wear those as I like things are odd-ball/different.
15:01 love from Poland 🇵🇱❤️ didn't expect to see my classic national dish on here 😂
Btw I love the way you pronounce "pierogi"
I'm guessing we won't be seeing another Wish episode for a long time lol
I sure hope not...makes a difference to know that most of those cheap items were knockoffs from regular items, with “stealing” the tech, etc. I used to look at them with amusement, not any more.
I need the poach pod! TFS 😊
Minor criticism on the Uni-Lid review: As a review channel I kind of expect you to get the big pack for a proper review instead of grabbing the small one and only testing half the available lids. Aside from that: Nice video, as always :)
You can get the idea from testing just one. No one wants to spend 10 minutes watching every size being tested. Would get repetitive.

Those pan-fried ravioli aren't "pirogi" in the slightest. Somebody lied to you.
I watched a video about the ninja pan and have since been watching almost all of the videos on this channel. I have no idea why. I love this guy’s energy and how he really thinks outside the box to test out these things I’ve always wondered about, but wasn’t a sucker enough to buy myself. This dude really needs to have some products of his own. I’d probably buy them though because he’s honest.
You just like saying “ jostle” a lot, don’t you?
After a number of fun hours watching your channel I thought the following: " I truly believe that a link is broken between the inventor and the consumer.... from time to time I come up with an idea that would make my task a little easier.... to realize such invention not only takes time and effort and let's just say that my invention is that one that would make my life happier.... Unfortunately this is what most inventors think about along with the consumers... however where it goes wrong is that the company that assumes this next step
Is usually too cheap to make it out of good material and the whole invention is now a disservice to the consumers and to finalize my point is what we end up with a simple let down... keep up your good work ...
What I like about the utensil rest is you could use it, wash it, shake it off, and then use it to let your now clean utensils dry
Hi James, keep up the great work, I actually have family in Las Vegas and Henderson. Love the show...keep going...You'll get that half-mil soon...
