I totally love this movie it's way awesome reminds me of when I was a kid and now it kind of reminds me of my neighbors
A childhood fave. I guess I was in the right Disney window. Thanks cable.
Thanks for posting! I found out that this movie was based on real events chronicled in a book of the same name by the real pastor of the church. I was astounded to learn that the church was located on North Avenue in New Rochelle, New York. Having lived in the North Bronx for the first half of my life, I was very familiar with both New Rochelle and North Avenue. Being a New York Yankee fan, I also learned that this very same church had fallen into disrepair over the years and New Rochelle resident Mariano Rivera and his wife have rehabilitated it back to functionality (to the tune of $3 million). The soon to be Hall of Famer, Rivera lived in New Rochelle during his time with the Yankees and that's how he got involved with the project. I find events like this so fascinating as truth really is stranger than fiction.
Oh Sorry Gene & Roger ... this is one of the funniest movies ever. Two thumbs up!
I never got around to this movie but the clips actually look funny. Thanks.
I saw the movie when it first came out. It was funny and it is still funny. These so called movie reviewser expected everything to be gone with the wind
One of my all time favorites! I first watched it in the early ‘90s as a kid but I still enjoy it to this day. Sure it’s corny but very endearing and a bit entertaining to. You’ve got to love watching the huge land yachts in the demolition derby at the end. Just good wholesome fun😀
Supposedly based on a true story about church women and their minister fighting crime in their proper New York suburb.
i wouldnt call any of the great Disney films juvenile thats rather harsh.it would be better to call them stress relievers.
2:15 GET OUTTA HERE!!!!!
Oh my
If people haven't seen this movie you should totally watch it it's a good family film
I think they're being too hard on this film. It's fun. It's not very deep, falls flat here and there, but it's otherwise a good "go get the bad guys" kind of movie.
What was mediocre was Siskel and Ebert's lousy criticisms of a delightful movie!
i thought it was funny what do they know
Another example of why I hate critics
