Friend of mine who served in Army said that Indian soldiers were not equipped with proper arms. Everyone knows about INSAS and its issues, but sub-machine guns were WW-2 era one(They have given order for ASMI only this year), communication equipment were heavy and old, no NGV. He had to do night patrol in pitch dark, which is very dangerous, no side arms as well. When he did the training with French troops, difference in equipment between soldiers was very apparent. He said situation has improved since PM Modi has come to power, but much more need to be done to equip infantry.
yeah our military still has many shortcomings in terms of equipments and technology we are still using mig-21 fighter jet which was used in 1960-70s so this tells a lot about our problems with modernisation though our soldiers are very brave on personal level
Actually government of India has failed to use the potential of premium institutes like IITs or nits and I am not an IITian nor I am jee aspirants but I can guarantee those guys have potential to learn everything and can contribute haveily in this field and we all know their achievements in silicon valley they operates at almost 50 percent in higher jobs but sadly our government never provide them the money they deserve the stage they deserve and thus we lack and are the purchasing economy 😢
I wonder if our future generations will get to learn (in schools) about the geopolitical tactics and agendas behind Foreign Boons and Banishments and how Bharat is tacking it.
around 200 Tejas already ordered (but now it all depends on USA and GE) funds for AMCA released months ago 12 more Su30 ordered and super Sukhoi upgrade underway(Super Sukhoi is actually CRAZY) India is pretty good in missile category WHAT I THINK WE ARE LACKING AT 1) funds for TEDBF still not released 2) Drone program is sluggish AND WHAT THE HECK HE JUST SAID 100 Submarines? we can't print unlimited amount of dollars bruh
Sad but true, almost now every party is trying to get votes by giving freebies in every state which has no large scale economic benefits. This would pose a great problem in the future for India.
Defence system sir Defence system. India have uncrackable border and sky, not even a drone or missile couldn’t enter. When your back is strong you can focus on strengthening your arms and legs;))
Its so sad that in reality after our independence we had our own domestic fighter aircraft program- The Maarut. But we weakened it and eventually finished it. Had we continued with that program, today we would have a fairly advanced program and who knows jet engine technology as well. All thanks to our dear first PM Jawaharlal nehru who believed that let alone modernization of air force even the Indian Army can be disbanded only police is sufficient as we are a nation of non violence. What a joker
true, jet engines is a must but equally important is stealth nuclear submarines then hyper sonic long range ballistic missiles, efficient spy satellites and technology, intelligence gathering on enemy, stealth drones, robotic technology in warfare etc..
Groundforce is the most relevant in combating a war, the Bangladesh war in 1971, the Ukerain War, and the Syria war. The ground force is the deciding factor. So India needs another 800,000 soldiers for an all-out war to make the win. The bullet manufacturing must be consistent with the army stockpile and for use in battle field.

Indian defence summed up after 2014- Indian Airforce:🤡🤡🤡 Indian Army : sometimes 🤡 sometimes 🗿. Indian navy:🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿 In short there is progress but really slow, at this rate we can't afford an 2 front war. More Institutes should be built specifically for these cutting edge defence technologies because we lack the talent and skill to actually built these tech from scratch as we have seen in the case of jet engines and we don't even have a reliable indigenous rifle like tf?. Drdo and hal needs some serious reforms and more private companies should invest in defence. We lack both quantity and quality at this point.
#Ask Abhijit, what's your thought on NSA Ajit visit to china, what's the strategic importance of his visit in reference to Bangladesh crisis and US dominance in the Bay of Bengal
I am no expert on defence, but based on the observations on current conflicts I would say rather than focusing on your enemy I would focus on dissolving on enmity (buy or overthrow them out of power), get good will from people, have a wide and robust intelligence network like Israel and use your resources smartly like pager incident very very effective with minimal cost. have intelligence satellites and autonomous drones in air and sea which is more cheap to make and more deadly, make cheap loitering drones, cheap missiles laser based air defence system, microwave defence, EW suite Make computer chips and develop AI and networking fighter jets are becoming obsolete so focus on future tech. the main thing to focus on is to make neighbours behave become a strategic economic power have as much partner countries as possible USA, RU, EU, AU, China, South east Asia invest on stable and well informed citizens these things will automatically make us great power
Is there a problem with the title of the video, says "why kind of weapons does india need...." I am assuming you meant to say "what kind of weapons does india need...."
For India to dominate the subcontinent it only needs Nepal to willingly join the Indian Union. Unfortunately this is unlikely to happen for a few decades.
Forget the big fancy multi-million $ weapons. Have a program that compares all the required equipment, weapons, body armor, and comms that an average US beat cop carries compared to an Indian constable, or a US infantryman compared to an Indian jawan. The difference is staggering, and shameful.
Simple we need airpower drones fighter aircraft period airpower defines ur power projection deep penetration into enemy territory capturing enemy airspace
The list of Indian needs is similar to Bangladeshi needs because they’re at same level of development. Without functional political system, equitable non caste culture, productive economy, infrastructure, technology…well the list goes on, India or any nation for that matter cannot have even a chance a dominance. Also comparing India to China is just painful & unfair insult to India
Rather than subcontinent dominance, it should be viewed as solving the Pakistan Problem. What is the issue? Nuclear weapons. Pakistan is buying massive amounts of nuclear weapons, modern 5th gen fighters and a huge navy! So why has Bharat not solved the problem? Nukes. So what weapons can solve that problem? Glide bombs, Bharat now has different varieties of glide bombs like Sudarshan available in quantity. 30 000 tons are needed. That is enough for a GW shock n awe campaign, which Pakistan cannot reply to. SHOCK n AWE! IIT's madras Navic guided artillery shells. 100 000 should be ordered, Pakistan is a country that only measures 300km deep. 70km range artillery can hit a lot of significant targets. DRones drones drones! at least 1 million kamikaze and fpv drones. These are all tech that Bharat already has, or is in advanced stages of fielding. So an increase in the defence budget is the way to buy adequate ammo for a major war.
So reminder This is not aginst bjp If first deal rafle manufactre in india around 200 .is good accodroing to your words .but the left 36 .no factory in india .so sad❤❤
China and US Have developed 6th generation, they are testing them but not started production. But u must remember our 4th gen LCA is not ready after 44 years . Waiting for US to give engines, is not ready enough 😊

Your india destined to become a another weak slave state as history of india tells us 😂😂😂😂
Also Missile/Drone defense (Air defense like the Akash, S400 etc)
Submarines & Fighter Aircrafts - Urgent (From what I heard from various specialists)
around 200 Tejas already ordered (but now it all depends on USA and GE)
funds for AMCA released months ago

India is pretty good in missile category

May I ask what is the meaning of TEDBF?

3 weapons with respective rank :: 1 . Advanced Nuclear Subs ( prob on low grade Uranium)
2. A hydrogen bomb
3. a true state of the art 5th gen
Forget subcontinental dominance, protect borders first. We are the verge of balkanization.

I don't understand one thing. Why we cannot develop other technology that goes on fighter plane.
Waht about Internet security of Finance defence and public sectors? what about security against infiltration, drones/robots and mind-hijacks?
Above all id add, increase funding towards R&D on areas that are focus. That is what separates the wolf from the sheep.
