@@blackjacklj7829 That's not true at all. Jiraiya had publish multiple books before this one. At least one is canonically publish in the series. The famous one is the older make out tactic books. The orange one that kakashi held previously
@@zulhilmi5787 Well you clearly didnt ask Jiraiya .. Jiraiya was a spy , writing coded messages was part of his job .. There is all logic in him having memorizing coded messages in case of any danger . And what better clue than his own book .

Although I never understood how significant this "The real one isn't here" was in helping them defeat Pain in the battle though. Naruto battled Pain without the assistance of this hint. He only made use of it at the end.
@@nexrole884 yeah no! Naruto still had to fight all the paths and at the end of it jiraiya's hint still wasn't enough as kurama had to go on a rampage that saved naruto from Being pinned down and also planetary devastation!
Definitely wasn't the world! Nagato was obito's puppet and also could control the full nine tails as a kid just like madara without renniegan!
The technique Jiraiya used here is called a "book cipher". Pretty cool that Naruto made use of that real world concept.

I like how this entire plot point revolved, not around the best code-breakers in Konoha being unable to figure out Jiraiya's code because they weren't smart enough and Naruto was, but because they couldn't read his shitty handwriting.
Not that although Def in part. Naruto would of pieced it togther to use his books. They would of Def done it eventually but it was tailored to Naruto since he was the only one besides Kakashi that knew about the book since it wasn't published

Not really. He could have lived and went to deliver the message himself. But when he thought about Naruto he knew he couldn't lay down without giving it his all because naruto would have done the same. So he died trying to take some out with him.

@@crazimathx4905 He did use it, after killing final pain he knew the fight wasn't over so he had foresight to use sage jutsu with control rod to find real pain. I think he even told Nagato he knew somewhere at the start of the fight.
