I do hardwood floors and stairs for a living. Everything you've done in these videos, every single thing, has been super unconventional and I would have done things differently. But you still managed to make it look good, I'm amazed. I guess methods don't need to be so uniform across the board
Hey thanks for your comment, just out of curiosity could you specify on a couple of things you would have done differently. I’m always open to learn new things and more efficient ways of doing them.
Also wanted to add I’ve travelled the world as a carpenter working in many different countries and have found each country have different ways of doing certain things. This may not be the case but could be a factor.
One of the things is that I would have installed the nosing and the hand rail first, then use a laser level to mark holes for the spindles while they were in the floor. I also would have left part of the newal post in the floor and tapped in a lag bolt that I would use to secure the new newal post, but your method there actually works pretty well even with all the extra effort and makes it look cleaner especially if you don't plan on adding shoe around the post. They also make dowel screws that are corse threaded on one side, and machine threaded on the other, I would have used that on the hand rail but only because it seems easier. The dominos are probably much better in regards to sheer strength, I just know I would find a way to mess it up lol. But yeah your work actually intrigues me. I'm based out of America for reference, btw
🔥 going to be doing my stairs here shortly as well. Was planning on doing something similar to your last stair video. Can’t wait to see what you have cooking up this time 🎉
The audio level of the bell "ding" is way louder than the audio of the video, making it way too loud and very unnerving when the viewer has the volume at a level that they can hear you speaking.
The new railing is wayyyy better right?
Yes 😀👍

Noted, thanks
Even though I have never renovated a house, this has become my favorite (woodworker) builder channel - love your minimalistic design.
Wow, thank you! That means a lot.
What floor is what and what white paint are you using. We are trying slowly remodeling our house and we like your style.
Thanks, we have white oak floors with a natural finish and we use “simply white” by Benjamin Moore on the walls
What mm spacing of the baluster. Looks great
Great work and finishing . But did you use any glues to hold the spindles ??
What’s the width of the nosing you made, and how close to edge did you position the post?
Awesome and clean as always. btw the LED stairs you did in the old house was dope! I think it would look cool here also.
Thanks dude, I thought about it but there’s an issue getting power to the new stairs.
Epic build!
Thanks dude
Super Rad!
Saw the shorts, great to see the video.
Love the result!
Thanks so much
That's exactly what I've been looking for! Now I just need you for a husband
Haha Thank you I’m honoured
