Great vid for those starting out in bush crafting or camping that only thought about a lighter to start a fire I like how you incorporated the container to contain your different fire starting methods it’s always great to watch your videos
I 3d printed covers for my BIC lighters. I bought a sheet of match striker stickers and put it on everything. I also add a windproof lighter like the bic ez reach, butane lighter or a rope lighter. a basic match book. I stuffed a bubble tea strew with cotton balls. Some alcohol swabs and Zip fire starter. Wax paper from a roll of stickers. nice size farro rod.Tea light. Oh I also took a large amount of the waxed string form fire cord and put it in a tube. fresnel lens. I thought about of adding a small tube of shoe goo because its flammable. burlap is handy. I made a pouch that has a fire kit, tools, small boo boo kit, water stuff, a snack, I based my emergency bag around this one pouch.
MY TSA COPLIENT FIRE KIT consists of a couple of pads of charcloth, a pair of reading glasses, 5' of Juke Twine, a tube of Lip Balm, a couple of individual packets of instant coffee which can be used to make a Juke Twine fire roll, and a Fire Piston which is optional...... I carry this fire kit with me on international flights and no one even looks at me twice....
BEST SELF DEFENSE WEAPON I have Ever Seen is a WALKING CANE, because I can carry it into a courtroom, onto an international flight, and even into a hospital as a medical mobility assistance device recognized any where in the world... But it is by design, also a baseball bat with a meat hook and a 36" reach extension... Who Needs a Gun???
😂😂My crutches are 316 stainless pipe, arm cuff style. Took out all the adjustments and weakness of aluminum models. They weigh 4.5 pounds each and will pulverize a watermelon or coconut. Alas, I can't run away so I make arrangements accordingly without presuming to tell others what they might need or not "need"😂
You are NOT using ROD & Tinder Correctly Regardless of its Size, coupled with poor technique ====================== 1st, that multi use striker gadget you have on a short tether is CRAP for a Scrapper/Striker! FAR Superior IS> Sharp Square Cornered HARDENED Piece of Tungsten Carbide, OR Hardened Carbon Tool Steel Will Make that Rod Shower your tinder with HOT Sparks! Even a piece of used-up, discarded FILE Remnant Will Work Very Well! ALSO>> Shave, scrape a bit of that solid tinder into powder & shavings giving a greater & finer surface area to Catch Sparks & it WILL ignite first try, >>> Aim that rod Lower at the Base of your prepared tinder powder & shavings.
@@james78ish haha... No worries. I dunno... I struggle with that stuff sometimes but I try to go with what the company says if the info is available. I was like you... Originally saying U.C.O. but after seeing their pronunciation I refilmed my into and adjusted. Anyhow... Thanks for watching!
Good job, good video. Been looking at that same UCO setup. 👍👍👍
You should try to use the side off the striker instead of the end off it to strike the ferrocerium rod.
It helps to hold the striker correctly. Use the edge of a side, not the tip.
Get the storm proof match break & mash it up, than place it on the pyramid shaped starter & strike it with fero & striker.
Hope this is helpful.

All you need is a ranger grip knife to have an all in one, fire kit and to process materials!
does the lid come off, use to boil water
No it’s hinged like a Altoids tin
Great video
Thank you...thanks for watching!
I'm a little late to the party, but their "TITAN ferro rod" is MUCH better!
👍
if they dont already they should sell these tins individually

A very good fire-making kit. I do like how you added to it.

If that kit was any more than $12.00,than it was a ripoff... Lol
I'd gladly pay $25.00 for it.
Its not "UCO" as in one word. Its U-C-O 🤣🤣
You 100% certain if that? 🤔
