I love, love, love this technique! I am so excited to give it a try. I almost cried when they took away our shimmer paper. I don't understand why they do what they do sometimes. Thank you for figuring this out and sharing it with us! Brilliant!
OH THANK YOU for sharing this technique! I have lamented the loss of Shimmery White paper since it left our line up of paper products. This is fantastic, amazing and awesome!😊😊😊
Thanks for a great video. I love anything that shimmers and always have some bling on my cards etc so this is just perfect especially as I have a new Wink of Stella!!! TFS
this is just brilliant Cheri! thank you for sharing! i miss shimmery white so this will help fill that void! can you add reinker to that mix to make colored shimmer? can I ask where do you get those little bottles you used?
You can add ink in a few different ways, I will have some further tutorials with them (don't miss the one that I used the dried blender pens with!) The link for the bottles is in the website link under this video : )
First time seeing your video and like the shimmer idea - how do you clean the brush, or do you just leave this mixture on it? And regarding the card from the thoughtful journey class (starting at 18:35) do you have a video on how to make this card? (You mention classes, but for those of us who aren't familiar with your videos, tell about how to view the classes - or do we have to purchase the classes?)
I just use the same brush and have used it since spring when we started using this technique. It's not be cleaned, but I just wipe it clean on cardstock when done. The Thoughtful Journey was a class in spring, so those tutorials just went to the class participants. I am in the process of getting past class (video only) on my website...
I am not sure which card you mean...I will be posting the card club videos on our FB page soon, that might help you! Once I use them to make cards it will show you I think!
I would try it! Depending on what it is in, it might be easier to add the glycerin to it as opposed to the other way around! That way maybe it will use anything stuck to the sides!
I use the alcohol and spritzer technique, but this one is much more controlled (no one overspraying over their project on to someone else's - which happens OFTEN at in person events...or on my kitchen table...or on my sample, lol. The shimmer can block the spray tube and all of a sudden the direction is not where you think it will be). Using the blending brush gives you complete control!
I was surprised to see that you did not shake your wink of Stella pen prior to priming it? So are you suggesting that we don't shake it or does it matter? I would think it would matter? Great video thank you for sharing!
Thanks so much for this idea. Tried it on a scrap of navy and loved it.

What a pretty technique. Thank you
Glad you like it!
Thanks for this video - I will be giving this a try.
Have fun!
Thank you so much, it’s so pretty xx
thanks!
Cheri, are the cards with multiple colors (like beige and white) done by adding ink or cut paper pieces?
I am not sure which card you mean...I will be posting the card club videos on our FB page soon, that might help you! Once I use them to make cards it will show you I think!
I love your nail color. Could you share what it is?
I am getting ready to do a quick video on my nails! I get so many questions on them. My weeks got interrupted by real life but it will be soon!
Awesome technique
Glad you like it!
@@cheriscards I made some this afternoon.
Isn't it fabulous?!
@@cheriscards yes and easy to make.
I wonder if a few drops of the old shimmer paint that I still have would work as well
I would try it! Depending on what it is in, it might be easier to add the glycerin to it as opposed to the other way around! That way maybe it will use anything stuck to the sides!
Cheri, did you say that you can stamp on the made shimmer paper? This is a fantastic idea and thank you so much for sharing
Yes you can- I have several recent videos where I did- just search back my recent tutorials!
@@cheriscards thank you so much
Great technique! You wouldn't want to spray directly on the paper??

@@cheriscards that makes sense. Thanks!!

I have never shaken mine? I don't know that it makes a difference? Next time I open one I will give it a shake to see!
Can you use the TSUKINEKO frost white all purpose ink?
I have not tried it, but it would be fun to!
