Nothing like watching them fly high. Beautiful. Unfortunately the fight with hawks will be with us. All we have to do is be patient. No matter how careful we are hawks will get some of them and when that happens it breaks your heart.
First time I came across your videos today, I used to keep pigeon's when I was young. Now unfortunately my profession doesn't give time for it. I am enjoying my love for pigeon's through your videos. Nice channel, keep up the good work. Please upload more videos.
Aww mate I am really feeling for you and your young race team, I swear every time I would be settling babies outta the loft the falcons/hawks would turn up, not what I want, but I haven’t lost any at home to hawks which is great, but they all look great your babies mate nice big healthy babies that’s what I like to see!! Cheers Rowe’s Loft
Yes, Sunset will be at 8:34 PM today. All of a sudden they are flying great. It seemed like something has clicked, even much better than in the video! Thanks for watching my friend and I have been enjoying your release videos also. You have some serious racers!👍
Man, I feel your pain! I have a Cooper's hawk or two that like to come over my yard almost every time I release them. On the up side, they are so hawk-scared, when they come home from a training toss, they trample each other to get into the loft. It's not fair.... :/
@@gpsloft5868 They are looking really good and healthy, The one that got hit by the hawk seems to be healing good so far. I bought 7 more to replace the ones I lost but they are two different breeds - you will see them on next vid. I hope your family and birds are doing good kalapatid.
Rocky Ridge Kennel & Loft Yea we’re good and I wish the same for you. 🙂 I’m excited to see the new ones kalapatid haha! I like the ones with the splash I hope you got more of those!
woah, sorry to hear about the hawks. That scenario probably has most likely happened to every fancier. But yeah, losing birds during loft fly is almost always ordinary. I lost a few young birds just loft flying as well. They fly too far and get in the mix with other birds and lofts and sometimes just don’t know how to get back. But you still seem to have plenty. Hope all the other birds find their way back. And yeah if you don’t feel like flying them, just breed them. Good luck 👍
Thanks for your awesome comment brother, So I can't fly them anymore even if I want to because the risk of losing some is there and I just have way to much into them! I will produce some tremendous birds from them for next year -for sure. 👍
It’s very nice and relaxing to watch those bird flying. Here in texas i let my birds fly before 11:00 due to the extreme hot wether, triple digit heat.
Your problem is the fact you keep them cooped up too long . As soon as you wean your youngsters from the parents they should be able to see out side (4 weeks old parting from parents ) after a week they need to be able to get outside of the loft to have a good look at the loft from the outside . Also to freely walk around outside the shed preferably on a grass lawn kept short. Youll find you will lose alot less youngsters by doing this but always remember the golden rule NEVER FEED BIRDS OUTSIDE THE LOFT , ALWAYS INSIDE PROMOTES GOOD TRAPPING . Hope this helps mate
Thank you for taking the time to make that informative comment. I do exactly what you said with the youngsters that I hatch here but these I got shipped in a little older and every thing was going just fine until the hawks spotted the babies and all hell broke loose. It was just bad luck, I believe everything was going to work out fine until that happened! Thanks again my friend. 👍

Nice video of birds flying. FYI Mated pairs will not fly good if they are together and will bring the flock down. That’s why I just stopped flying my Team#1 they where all starting to pair up and didn’t want to fly. Sorry to here about your new racing birds. Thanks for your insight Greg, It's very valuable to me! I knew something was up with the way they were flying and was getting frustrated (even releasing rollers) So should I separate them because I need to continue training for release events? Also do flyers separate rollers because they seem lazy all of a sudden - like that pair in the video that came down first? Did you find the Storage bins - Model # HDX27GONLINE(5)Store SKU #207585 - Hope that helps. They have different sizes so you can choose. I forget what size mine is.
Rocky Ridge Kennel & Loft Yes you need to separate the pairs and also the rollers will stop the Homers from tripping out like they should. I never even fly old birds with young ones because they both fly at different speeds. Old ones like to stay closer to home and young ones like to trip.
