Ultra beginner here. 80 yrs old. 10 minutes of high low/low high, most mornings.
Wonderful! Have fun with your singing!
Funnily enough, singing with a dynamic microphone will highlight your breath faults as when you wonder "what's it doing now?"'.. it's not the mic it's YOU.
This video is great!! I was specifically looking for instruction on air use. As always, Victoria, you've explained things so clearly and helpfully!
Thank you, Shane!
This is a good exercise. Seems to me it can also help with learning breath control too. I like it.
Thank you, David!
Woa! I am a "tanker upper". Yikes!
Thanks again for another helpful video!!
LOL, now you know what to work on! 😀
just wanted to thank you for your videos I've been trying to learn how to sing for six years now but have made no progress at all and have been very disappointed but since I've started watching your videos I've seen very quick improvements thanks
This makes me very happy! Thank you for posting!
@@Victoria-Victorious no worries thank you for uploading

Thank you so much 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you
I'm so glad I discovered your channel
I am happy that you made it over too!
Lovely explanation of proper breath for different styles. I sometimes over-breath and boy can I tell when I do it!
Yes! Thank you!
🌹❤️🫶Thank you very much. A very useful exercise.
I have been watching your videos Since August 2023 ! Thank you ❤. my singing has improved and I'm more confident in my Voice.
Beautiful!
They are,I was doing the exercises,
You are absolutely gorgeous! The way you teach demonstrates how much you love music.
Thank you so much, @kingwillie206!
I would give anything to book an actual lesson with you. I’m a mezzo soprano, figured that out when I kept moving back and forth between alto and soprano, and my lower register needs a lot of work. Do you by any chance plan on starting virtual lessons through zoom or Skype? Just wondering. Have a great day!!
I have taught on Zoom for years! Please see the description box below all of my videos for my website.
Thak you gor the exercise
From the Philipines po
It gets harder at the end I ran out of breath ,but I continue.
Great! Keep it up!
No problem. Overbreathing is my problem but very seldom I ran out of air within a frase while singing
Over-breathing is as big a problem as not taking in enough air. I have lots of videos on how to breathe for singing.
Yep. Try to learn this true speaking with tones
Breathing is the most challenging for me feel like I am hyper ventilation when doing it,to the point shoulders move when it not suppose to.😢It's so involuntary.
It sounds like you are over-breathing and tight. See my playlist: Breathing (Inhalation) for Singing - the BASICS ua-cam.com/play/PLaWjWxiTysDCciuU4Sd5M9122o98hj0hE.html
Hello coach, does low notes, middle notes and high notes are equally important for singing?😊
Yes, but start with your middle voice (where it’s easier) if you are a beginner.
@@Victoria-Victorious thank you coach,
@@Victoria-Victorious one more thing coach, if singer A has a good middle mix and belt and singer B has a good upper mix and belt and also has a good headvoice. Which singer will you prefer as a better vocalist overall?
Savedc by your sound
When I sing without music I sound better than with music why is that ??? Also how long will it take for my voice to improve without a vocal coach just using videos off UA-cam
Maybe the music throws you off. Practice both ways - with accompaniment and without. As far as how long to achieve results, no one can answer this because it all depends on your voice and how you practice. See my playlist: Can You Teach Yourself to Sing? Be Your Own Teacher
