It works, you have to be as far away from the fog gate as possible and really spam back step. Also do not even so much as flinch or move your character because she'll wake up. If you hear the music you know you did it wrong.
Worked on Xbox. The key is not to obsess exactly how she puts her feet. Just make sure you slowly approach the fog door and press enter as far as possible away. Immediately start spamming the roll button, B on Xbox (don’t actually move your character with the stick, just press the single button, whatever that may be on your platform). If you mess up, quit out to the main menu and retry. Took me about 10+ times.
Finally it worked , took less the 60 arrows using the Pharis bow. Slight worry no a major worry when she started to move . With a steady stream of arrows hitting your head , I would move. Great cheese thanks for the video.
I was having problems getting it to work from your original video, but realizing I needed to go in from as far back as possible was what I was doing wrong. The only other boss I cheesed this hard was the Capra Demon in DSR. Thank you!
Here's where I was making the mistake. You want to spam the back button before you enter the room. Right after you hit the "enter room" button start spamming the back button.
You can use the Millwood greatbow and arrows from the outside. Also, if needed, you can use the Silver Knight great arrows. Just remember to use the weapon art with every arrow you shoot. 😁
It didn't work for me but I probably had positioning not exactly right. However, the Pestilent Mist cheese worked pretty effectively. Basically just dance around the big pillar and keep casting it and she will be LoSed and forced to walk through the mist.
Confirmed this hack works; I found this video a few days ago looking for an easy way to cheese the Dancer boss. It worked on first try on PC with a gamepad controller as of the current version in late August 2024 in Offline Mode (just as a test), then my second try once I came back with my arrows and bow at which point I killed the Dancer while sweating bullets worrying that I'd run out of arrows before she died, heh heh; just like the Blue Dragon on Demons Souls (original 2009; which took about 700 arrows, be thankful this boss is so weak to arrows LOL). I think players having trouble are either not following the positioning on the tiles or are overcorrecting. There's a sweet-spot. You also need to spam the backstep button/key AS SOON as you click the action/interact button/key to enter the fog. Also, try a light or medium equip load to help with backstepping and stamina drain, pay attention to the ANGLE that the player character is facing in the video AND to the DESTINATION that PrettyasHell's player character is moving to. You're trying to get tucked up against the RIGHT side of the archway beyond the fog, like your own personal sniper's nest. I used to use methods like this back on the old Demons Souls (2009), so this reminds me of the Tower Knight, Armored Spider, and Maneater game geometry hacks (using bows). My thanks to @PrettyasHell for posting this guide. I decided to pick up Dark Souls 3 after stopping at NG++ more than a year ago, now I can soul farm one of my favorite spots: The knights protecting the area before the first castle bonfire. For a Power Leveler like me who usually beats NG around level 150-200, getting access to an easy late-game farming spot like this is a Godsend. I had already reached about Level 60-70 just farming the weaker knights at the Vordt of the Boreal Valley bonfire (yes, seriously) and thanks to this video I'm already at Level 83 and climbing while now possessing 3 Titanite Chunks + a Sunlight Medal from farming the knights up here using Dark Hand, Hidden Body, Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring, and Covetous Silver Serpent Ring. In my original playthroughs I either had to cheese this boss with Pestilent Mist or just kill her the old fashioned way with a high Vigor and Vitality (with medium to heavy armor) build using either the Dark Hand or a similarly heavy hitting melee weapon (with better reach).
It's 09/23/24 and this still works but it took me like 6 tries and I used long bow with wooden arrows and it took a bit over 99 arrows to the head so definitely have enough arrows
Move slowly towards the fog as soon as it says enter the fog press the action button ldk what's that button for pc but for playstation its X button and hope that helps ^^
Tried a few times and did not work for me. Lined myself up exactly and spammed "O" to backup once I entered the boss room. Luckily was able to beat him by staying on his left leg, and and taking my time.
Thank you so much!
The trick is spamming back step as soon as you enter..
Worked like a charm
Can 100% confirm this still works. Thank you!
