They really need to bring back races like the Senor Jug, Magical Mike, etc. They are no longer getting the top horses without those types of races, as trainers/owners/drivers aren't coming just for one race. Those other races gave trainers/owners/drivers more reasons to bring all their to horses to Deleware.
I wonder if Night Hawk is owned by George Noory ,the all night host of Coast to Coast radio program..?He was big into Harness Racing back in the 70s and once called himselfthe "Night Hawk "in his early radio career..

I’m just starting to buy yearlings every year now, hopefully but I like trotters more so the Old oaken bucket is my prize I wanna get, back in 92 my filly was eligible and payments were made but she got hurt 2 weeks prior, she was a shoe in for it. I got out for many years now getting back in. I got hurt so I started welding , I’m in the pipefitters union and retiring this year @59
@@Jbmc65 Good for you. I really like the trotters too. They aren't the same as Pacers, that's for sure. I'd like to get a Century Faro outta keystone treasure. I think you would get it for under 17k cad. She has a filly by mcwicked and it looks great but I don't like his attitude. My buddy owns Pay line now 4 out of her by better than cheddar. This horse had trainer issues he's just learning to race. He won 3 of 9 this year I think. One at Western Fair 2 at Flamboro. I think it's just a matter of the right cross and that mare will spit something good.
Half mile track no passing lane, best racing you can watch. Check out the races at Northside Downs. We don't have the fastest times but you won't find more action in a race anywhere.
@@Jbmc65 I really think Shane Ryan is one of the best in the business. He just doesn't call at a big track. Everyone loves to hear, "The Regent Street parking ticket, has been issued". Unless you're the owner of the parked horse.

Half-mile racing is so unfair. The minimum track size should be 5/8.
On the other hand smaller horses might be at a disadvantage on larger tracks which favor larger horses.
