- The all-new 2023 GMC Canyon is here, including the luxury-minded Canyon Denali. "Denali" has been more of a street trim in the past, but all 2023 Canyon models are focused on off-road capability no matter what. So then! The #2023Canyon Denali still comes with a 2" lift vs a basic sibling Chevy Colorado W/T, includes all-terrain tires, and uses the same 2.7L High Output turbo four as its Canyon AT4X big brother. I will tell everyone. Did you get a chance to see how the lane keep assist works? Does it lane trace or just bounce the truck in between the lines?

Great review. You are the only review I could find of someone driving the Denali down a dirt road. The Denali trim sounds like an AT4 with an upgraded interior...more or less. I hope you can do a towing test with the Canyon. It looks like a well rounded truck for daily driving and the occasional towing, on paper.
Glad you enjoyed! And yes, GMC wants every Canyon to be pretty capable, so they are all lifted 2" vs the base Chevy Colorado sibling, they all come on all-terrains, things like that. I have a Canyon AT4 coming in early July for a towing test so be sure to subscribe and keep your eyes out for that. The worst thing is no power folding side mirrors and no interior ambient lighting.

@Out Motorsports just picked it up today actually. Love it except for a few little nuances: halogen license plate and backup bulbs, no garage door opener, manual rear window, no auto wipers and no way to keep fog lights on(have to go in and turn them on every time I start truck).
Other than that list (which I know is me being picky) I love it.

I’m sure it’s a solid vehicle, but I just can’t get behind such an expensive model. Even the more basic Colorados are pricey enough.
It’s not expensive if you think about it, the full sized trucks go from 100-200k NOW THATS outrageous, these mid sized trucks are alright
How is the cabin noise at 65 miles /hr ?
We didn't measure it, but it's relatively quiet for what it is (a truck on all-terrain tires). Seemed like GMC had more sound deadening vs the 2023 Colorados we've driven, especially related to engine noise.
So this or a 4Runner TRD Pro?

@@Jorts-W-Bush well to be fair Ferrari, Maserati and McLaren all developed around a V6 for their latest offerings. Ford continues to use the V6 Ecoboost to great effect and even Honda recently updated their J series.
It’s outperformed at all levels by this v4
It's out performed but the new 2.7 turbo 4, in 2024 only midsized truck with V6 is the Nissan Frontier and the raptor trim of the Ranger.
Most people just jealous because they can't afford it
