*please excuse the mess in the garage. My table fell right before filming*
Just installed the brake, turning, and license plate lights from your videos. Everything came out perfect. Thank you for your guidance. I have a 2022 Explorer ST. That piece of plastic that needs to be lined up on your video, has a much bigger hold for the plastic to fall into. Again, thank you for your time!
If you have FORScan, you can completely skip the load resistor and just install the LED. You can go into BdyCM and disable the "Bulb Outage" wherever it's marked "Enabled". After disabling it, the hyperflashing should stop.
That’s exactly what i did on my 2017 explorer.
Hey Ham, have you replace your side rearview mirror, puddle lights ? My 2023 Ford Explorer ST-line comes with one little LED in my puddle light. I’m looking to upgrade to more LEDs, but I’m having a hard time finding one that supposedly fits my SUV! A lot of the stuff I’ve been buying says it won’t fit, but end up fitting and working.
Good description and video! Did you consider using FORScan to just change the bulb out warning? It's pretty easy if you feel comfortable with using the OBD connection and a phone or computer. I just don't like the heat the resistor generates.
probably as cheap as those resistors to buy the obdii plug and run forscan as well.
Hey Ham, how come you used the Syneticusa LED for the turn signal? How come you just didn’t use the AUXITO LED light? The same one you used for the reverse back up light? I checked they both take the same size bulb.
Salut!
For turn signal it is only led bulb with ballast attached?
Would those work on a 2020 expedition xlt?
Will this fit on a 2020 explorer st?
How do you change the running lights. My brake lights and turn signal and reverse light works but running light does no on driver side
sorry I didn’t watch the fist part 😅 nvm
when i click on check if this product fits the vehicle it says it does not fit? do I still need to get 😅
Yeah i mention that in the video. It says it won’t fit but it has a universal rubber boot so it will fit perfectly
Question, my Daytime running light went out on my 2020 Explorer! Would it be that other top Bulb that’s visible on this Video?
i’m pretty sure the Drl should not have went out that fast just take it back to ford they definitely replace it 😊
Clicked on the hyperlink for Amazon and it says that it DOES NOT fit the 2020 Explorer...Can you verify please.... Thanks 🙏
He stated in the beginning that it does NOT work for the 2020 but does work for the 21 and 22.
One thing to note, it will fit a 2020 as he noted, but it slips in verses how the 2020 has tabs.
What keeps water out of the factory connector?
I’ve had it installed for a year with no problems but you could always wrap the connector in electrical tape for more security and peace of mind
Hey Ham, And does the resistor that comes with the Syneticusa turn signal LED start to get HOT, only when you use your turn signal? or does it start to warm up as soon as you start the car and continue getting warmer the longer you drive?
And do you still have the Syneticusa instead? Have you had any issues, any issues at all with that brand and useing them for your turn signals!?
It only heats up when the turn signal is on. And they are still installed with 0 issues
Cool thanks!
Do u even need the resistor?
in stock form but you can turn off the need for them with forscan.
Yes you need it unless you make changes with forscan. Without it you will have hyper link and or bulb out error
