Yeah, I was also not sure about the process when I heard about it at first. Other instructions say to use a small amount of dish soap, but windex works better from my experience.
Nice video! I was skeptical when I found out that you apply the sticker on the spot wet by windex. Now I see how it is helpful. Definitely will do this method when my inserts come in for my GT
Marlo Stanfield Very nice! I love the 10ths. My only two options I was considering we’re the screaming yellow and 10th when I was looking. A lot of the 10ths came with the 9 thread heads as well since they were the last built for 2003 🙌🏼
It took me 3 attempts on the mach 1 hood decal because of the slope. I eventually got it perfect which gave me some experience for the bumper inserts 😀
Hey man, I have a '01 cobra in zinc yellow as well. The license plate on the wall is just a few number away from the one I have. Great car, lots of fun!
What are your thoughts on the more expensive ($40-$60) stainless steel billet inserts vs the “chrome vinyls” that are typically cheaper. Closer to $20-$30 range? Thanks
Danny Johnson Thanks! I’ve heard of sanding them down a bit prior to installing. Do you know if the windex method would work on those billet style ones as well? I know they use a 3m piece to stick
I would imagine, but you only really need the windex approach to keep bubbles out. If it's a solid stainless piece it should just stick right on without worrying about bubbles at all
Scrun Johnson Yessir I was looking to buy for my 03 Cobra but the dimensions were a little different on the sites so that's why I'm asking you, if you still have your car of course. Thank you for your time, I appreciate it!
Probably the best thing you can do cosmetically to the cobra

Will soapy water work too?
Plan to spend about three days or so depending on how much help you have. Thanks for the comments guys.

Subbed!
Been seeing your vids pop up on my feed lately and I’m hooked!
Just got my 10th anniversary Termi last week and I’m in love!
Keep up the vids!

Danny why don't I think to go to your UA-cam first, just ruined two sets because I wasn't happy with placement🤦♂️

I'm in the same boat. Its bubble city and a stretched 'O' 😅
The wideband is great, but I haven't hooked up the boost gauge or any of the other functions yet
Removal can be done by applying warm air from a hair dryer/ heat gun to loosen up the glue. ***Don't melt your bumper or date your paint!!***
I'd like to do carbon fiber print ones on my 10th anniversary cobra to keep with the theme
Justin Johnson that would look nice 🙌🏼
How did the carbon fiber print come out?

Wow! That Lisence plate was from my 1997 V6 Mustang. My first car.
Wouldn't soapy water work as well?
mike22810 Yes, soapy water also works. I had heard soap has more bubbles and is harder to work them all out
Is the 1999-04 cobra lettering bigger then the 94-98 cobras?
Only on the 2003-2004 Cobra
@@dannyjohnsonsgarage hella deserved sub for still replying to old old videos in a timely manner
Where’d you get the decals?
Thanks for the video got my "mustang" inserts coming tomorrow and this helped alot
Glad it helped. Hope your install goes well
Thanks for the video watched this before I put them in my 03 cobra
Super nice job and the car looks incredible! Hahahaha.... I wish I had your patience hows that AEM Gauge working for you? Im looking to get one.

Those are also nice but don’t catch any of the corners with a towel (so I hear).

Gotcha! My biggest concern is not aligning them correctly and it being too late to correct it once it sticks.
Yeah, windex helps with that but only if you have a way squeegee it out
Hey sir awesome job on the video, I was wondering if you can tell me how tall in inches are the lettes. Thank you so much!
The Silver Drifter I'll have to measure next time I get a chance. The 03/04 cobra is bigger Lettering than 2001 cobra

Hello sir how long did you let the letter dry overnight?
Yeah, I sat with it for awhile afterward to make sure bubbles were all worked out and they were straight.
*don't damage your paint
your video helped! thanks :)
